Chapter 5: 5. SEOUL NIGHTS
Clubbing was something we wanted to try in Korea! Kirti and I got dressed up like we were ready to steal the night away—she in this sleek, deep-neck black dress that hugged her perfectly, and me in my red top and leather skirt that just felt... right. There was this energy between us, like we were unstoppable like the whole city of Seoul was ours to explore.
"Are you sure Seoul is ready for us?" she laughed, flicking her hair, looking like she stepped right out of a magazine.
I couldn't help but join in. "Oh, Seoul needs a warning tonight!"
After a last-minute touch-up and a spritz of our favorite perfume, we stood in front of the mirror, looking like trouble. She looked at me with that mischievous glint and said, "Tonight's goal: make memories we'll blush about later." And that's exactly what we did.
We're out to make this trip unforgettable...
Walking into the club was like stepping into a scene from a music video. Each table had its own vibe, packed with gorgeous girls and handsome guys who looked like they owned the place, all swaying right where they stood. There wasn't even a dance floor—it was all about the tables.
Kirti and I exchanged a look, sliding up to an open spot. "I guess we're doing things the Korean way tonight," she whispered, her eyes sparkling as she ordered us drinks.
Just as our glasses arrived, a guy from the table next to ours leaned over, flashing us a smile that practically melted. "New around here?" he asked, his voice smooth, his gaze holding a little too long.
Kirti didn't miss a beat. "Depends," she smirked, taking a sip, "Are you offering to show us around?"
His friend, another heart-stopper, leaned in, grinning. "Only if you can handle it."
I raised my glass, locking eyes with him. "Challenge accepted."
As soon as Gasolina hit, Kirti and I exchanged a look that said it all. She grabbed my hand. "Time to turn this place up," she grinned, and we were off, weaving into the crowd that had finally spilled onto the floor.
The bass thumped through us as we moved to the beat, hips swaying, intense twerking, arms raised, losing ourselves in the music. Every twist and turn, every beat, felt electric. I glanced over and caught Kirti laughing, her hair wild as she spun around. "Think we've got their attention?" she teased, leaning close.
A guy from the table slid in next to us, his grin wide as he matched our rhythm. "Didn't know you two were this much fun," he shouted over the music, moving a little closer, his eyes never leaving mine.
"Oh, you have no idea," I replied, tossing a wink his way.
With each beat, we owned that floor, dancing like there was no tomorrow. This night was ours, and everyone knew it.
Every eye was glued to us as we tore up the dance floor, but eventually, Kirti leaned in breathless, "Cigarette break?"
Outside, the night air hit us like a cool wave, and Kirti was just about to light up when a group of three guys sidled up next to us. One of them, tall with a smoldering grin, nodded toward her. "Mind sharing a light?" he asked, his eyes lingering. But too dark to be recognized.
Kirti smirked, holding out the lighter just out of reach. "Only if you're good at sharing too."
He chuckled, stepping closer to take it, his fingers brushing hers. "Depends. How long are you two sticking around?"
I raised an eyebrow, leaning back with a smile. "Long enough for some interesting company," I replied.
As the flame from the lighter flickered to life, it illuminated the faces around us, and that's when it hit me—standing right in front of us was Jungkook from BTS! Kirti's jaw dropped, her eyes wide with disbelief. "Oh my god! You're—"
"Yeah, that's me," he said, flashing a grin that sent Kirti into a mini swoon. I couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction; she was utterly starstruck.
Just then, I noticed Mingyu standing parallel to me, looking equally intrigued. His presence was commanding, and I could feel the chemistry radiating off him. The atmosphere thickened as I glanced between Kirti and Jungkook, then over to Mingyu, who caught my gaze and smirked, clearly enjoying the situation.
"Do you always interrupt strangers' cigarette breaks?" he asked, leaning closer, his voice low and teasing.
"But we came first here." I replied, my heart racing.
Kirti, still recovering from her surprise, finally found her voice. "Can we take a picture?"
Jungkook nodded, and as we gathered closer, I felt the heat from Mingyu beside me, his smile mischievous. "Just remember, if you're taking photos with legends, you gotta step up your game," he said, winking.
The night was turning into something unforgettable, and the spark between us felt even hotter than the club. I couldn't shake the feeling that this was just the beginning of an epic adventure.
After we snapped a few pictures, I couldn't resist asking, "So, do you do this for every fan you meet?"
Jungkook laughed, the sound light and infectious. "Only the ones who are as bold as you two! We saw you dance very well. But I highly doubt if idols can be allowed to dance like that"
Mingyu added, "And only those who keep things interesting." He shot us a playful smile that made my heart flutter.
As the conversation wound down, Jungkook and Mingyu turned to leave, but not before Jungkook said, "It was great meeting you! Enjoy the rest of your night."
"Yeah, see you around!" Mingyu waved, and just like that, they were gone, leaving us in a daze.
Kirti and I exchanged excited glances, practically bouncing on our feet. "Did that just happen?" I asked, hardly able to contain my excitement.
"I think so!" Kirti replied, her voice squealing with delight. "We met Jungkook and Mingyu!"
As we made our way back to the hotel, the cool night air felt electric. We couldn't shake off the feeling that we were still dreaming, as if we would wake up any moment and discover it was all a figment of our imagination.
"I can't believe we talked to them," I said, pinching myself lightly.
Kirti laughed, "If this is a dream, I don't ever want to wake up!"
We finally reached our hotel room, our hearts still racing from the encounter. As we collapsed onto our beds, I couldn't help but think about how surreal the night had been. We had come to Korea for an adventure, and it turned out to be more magical than we could have ever imagined.
