It was only Monday morning, but the teachers had already passed the exam papers to the respective subject’s student representatives while they were revising. As the exam papers had been distributed to the students, the entire classroom was in a frenzy as everyone was comparing their results and questions.

Zeng Xiuman turned around, exam papers in her hands and asked, “An Wen, how did you do?”

“Alright,” An Wen replied.

“How did you do for mathematics? I broke my record this time!” Zeng Xiuman was incredibly happy.

The girl handed over her mathematics paper for Zeng Xiuman to have a look.

Zeng Xiuman was shocked by what she saw. “This test was considered difficult and you managed to get 117 out of 120! How did you do it?”

An Wen was tempted to say that she had achieved it by intentionally picking one wrong answer!

However, this would have offended Zeng Xiuman. Thus, she decided to smile and remain silent.

“An Wen scored 117? That’s amazing. Tang Rui only got 115.” Another girl with curly hair interrupted unexpectedly. As her voice was rather loud, everyone in the class heard her and turned to look at An Wen.

“The last question was simply too hard and Tang Rui lost half of the marks there. An Wen, you’re amazing to only get three marks deducted from the entire paper. Can I have a look at it?” The girl stood up from her seat and approached An Wen as she reached out her hand in the hopes of getting her hands on An Wen’s exam paper. Her fair, slender fingers were incredibly beautiful as her nails were properly manicured. They even had a beautiful layer of nail polish on them.

Zeng Xiuman then introduced her to An Wen. “This is our class’ beauty, Shi Jing.”

Zeng Xiuman wiped the smile off her face and became quiet as she realized she had said something wrong.

An Wen had memories of Shi Jing because the Original Host had been violently bullied by Shi Jing and her sisters in school. The Original Host would be blocked and mocked by them the instant she left her classroom. At times, she would be threatened by the students when class was over as well.

It was because of them that the Original Host would only stay in her seat and not go anywhere when she attended school.

An Wen did not loosen her grip nor allow Shi Jing take her paper away. She raised her head as she stared threateningly at Shi Jing.

“Are you not willing to lend it to me? It’s just an exam paper, it’s not like I’m not going to return it to you.” Shi Jing laughed.

Shi Jing was the advanced class’s group secretary. She was beautiful, cheerful, and got along with everyone else in the class. The other students started siding with her when they realized the situation.

“An Wen, Shi Jing just wants to borrow it from you to have a look. We’re studying in the same class, it’s fine.”

“That’s right. She just wants to confirm her answers, that’s all.”

Shi Jing slowly loosened her grip and said, “Fine. If you’re so unwilling, forget about it.”

Everyone would think that An Wen was petty after Shi Jing had said such a thing. It was only a mathematics paper but An Wen was not willing to lend it to her.

A girl walked over to Shi Jing the instant the latter finished speaking. She held onto Shi Jing’s hands and said, “Since she doesn’t want to lend it to you, just forget about it. Which questions did you get wrong?”

“It’s not about which questions I got wrong. I just wanted to see the number one’s test paper.” Shi Jing’s voice sounded rather wronged.

The girl was furious when she saw Shi Jing’s reaction. “What’s so good about the number one’s test paper. Isn’t it just a piece of paper? Since she isn’t willing not lend it to you, you can just have a look at Tang Rui’s instead.”

Just as she pulled Shi Jing away, An Wen handed Zeng Xiuman her exam paper. Shi Jing frowned slightly upon noticing while the other girl was furious. “An Wen, what’s the meaning of this?”

Shi Jing’s request was rejected even though she had asked for such a long time but An Wen did not hesitate to hand it over to Zeng Xiuman. Was this not equivalent to slapping Shi Jing in the face?

An Wen looked at her and said innocently, “Xiuman asked for it first.”

“What?”

“I haven’t been back in the country for a long time, so I don’t really understand how you think. Isn’t it common sense to queue for something?”
