Chapter 1180: Such Fragile Skin
Blood splattered the ground around them as Apollonia leaned in and whispered in a smug tone, ''Your whores can't teleport here to save you, Demon. The storm and our magic cut you off from the outside world.''
Following that, she reached for his shirt and tore it off. ''You know,'' she said, her voice cold and almost wistful, ''I used to like and fantasize about you. I thought we could end all of this bloodshed together, but I was wrong. Your actions have proven you're a monster.''
Seconds later, she looked at his ear with a big smile before slicing the top of his right ear clean off, making Archer grit his teeth against the pain. Without hesitation, she continued her assault, slashing at him again and again.
Minutes later, Apollonia stabbed him in the side before going crazy and jabbing him all over as she giggled, forcing the night of his murder in his previous life to appear, which caused chaos with his emotions.
But thanks to his body growing weak, he stopped thinking about it as his mind grew fuzzy. She seized his chin, forcing his head upward, and trailed the tip of her knife down the side of his face, drawing a grunt of pain as his skin was opened up.
The woman continued slicing across his chest and limbs while enjoying herself. Blood pooled on the floor and Apollonia got annoyed, as he wasn't screaming or begging her to stop. She stood before him, her eyes glinting with cruel delight as she pressed a heated blade against his ribs.
The sizzle of flesh and the acrid smell of burning skin filled the air. ''You thought I was a classmate, an ally but all along I was put here to be your downfall Demon,'' she hissed, her voice venomous as she twisted the blade deeper, earning a ragged gasp from him.
Archer clenched his teeth, fighting the pain, his mind racing with bitter regret. 'I'm a fool,' he scolded himself. 'I shouldn't have trusted her and let my guard down because she's a beautiful woman.'
A sharp crack echoed as she suddenly broke one of his fingers, her laughter cutting through his haze of agony before speaking. ''You only have your lower brain to thank,'' she said sweetly, leaning closer. ''This? This is the price of your naivety.''
She sliced a serrated blade across his forearm, peeling the skin back in ribbons. Blood poured from the wound, pooling on the cold floor beneath him. Archer gritted his teeth and swore never to let himself get into this situation ever again.
''Beautiful, isn't it?'' she mused, holding up the bloodstained blade before driving it into his thigh with a sickening squelch.
He didn't flinch but grit his teeth once again, but the agony surged through his body with each slash, thanks to Apollonia's cruelty. Her blade gleamed with his blood as she dragged it across his chest once again, carving deep, jagged lines.
Archer's ragged breaths turned to groans as she moved to his arms, slicing patterns that caused crimson rivers to flow. ''Such fragile skin,'' she murmured.
She stabbed it into his abdomen, slowly drawing it across his flesh, letting the pain sink in. Following that, Apollonia gripped Archer's hair, forcing his head to the side as she smiled menacingly.
Without hesitation, she pressed the knife against his cheekbone and started carving through the flesh. Archer didn't make a sound as blood poured down his neck, the metallic scent filling the air.
Apollonia savored every flicker of torture etched across his face as the blade carved a jagged path from his temple to his jaw. Without pause, she shoved the blade into his mouth, the cold steel biting into his tongue.
With a savage twist, she tore through the flesh, unleashing a torrent of blood that filled his mouth and spilled down his chin in dark, choking streams. ''Such a shame,'' she said mockingly, tilting her head to admire her work. ''You had such a handsome face.''
Apollonia paused only to wipe the blood from her knife onto his tattered shirt before continuing, carving deeper into his skin, the sound of ripping flesh echoing through the room.
But before she could revel in her cruelty, he suddenly surged forward, delivering a vicious headbutt. The sickening crunch of impact rang out as she stumbled back, her expression twisting into enraged fury.
With a sharp cry, she dashed forward and swung the blade toward his head in fury. Archer sighed, bracing for the blow, but at the last moment, it was deflected with a loud ching. In the blink of an eye, something shot forward, striking the pink-haired woman square in the chest and sending her reeling as she let out a scream.
He felt gentle hands cup his cheeks, the warmth of the touch contrasting with the surrounding chaos. Teuila's soothing voice followed, soft and full of comfort. ''You're okay now, darling,'' she said tenderly. ''Let us handle them from here.''
When hearing that, Archer opened his eyes only to see Kassandra dodge several strikes from Apollonia and the Terravians before she countered with devastating punches that caused claps to ring out as the other enemies moved in on the two women.
Archer panicked, but that's when Brooke appeared wearing armor with an enraged expression on her beautiful face while staring at the pink-haired woman as she announced, ''You dare to hurt my Little Light bitch. Now die!''
She lunged forward in a blur, her hands weaving an unfamiliar spell that crackled with raw energy before launching it toward Apollonia. The glowing projectile streaked through the air, but another enemy leaped into its path.
The spell erupted, engulfing the figure in roaring green flames that devoured the Terravian in seconds, reducing it to ash with terrifying ease. Following that, Teuila moved in and went to strike Apollonia who summoned an ice wall to defend herself.
Her blade sliced through the barrier, causing it to collapse, but another enemy was there, causing them to fight. Teuila grinned while facing the towering Terravian, her sword glinting while circling her opponent.
Suddenly, the enemy lunged, its massive claw sweeping toward her, but sidestepped, her blade flashing as she struck a deep gash along its side. The Terravian roared in fury, retaliating with a barrage of swipes,
Teuila ducked under the wild attack and spun, delivering a slash to its leg, forcing it to stagger. She pressed the attack, her sword moving in a blur of calculated strikes. Sparks flew as her blade clashed against the enemy's weapon.
With one final, powerful thrust, she drove her blade through the Terravian's chest and it collapsed at her feet, dead. In the meantime, Kassandra was punching out and turning the foes into meat chunks.
The Kraken woman moved like a storm through the cave, her fists shattering the Terravians with overwhelming power. One lunged at her, claws extended, but she ducked low, driving a thunderous uppercut into its jaw that sent its head snapping back.
Before it could fall, she spun and delivered a bone-crushing elbow to its ribcage. The sound of snapping bones echoed out. Kassandra dodged another foe, her fists a blur as she pummeled it into submission.
''Keep coming!'' she shouted, grinning as another Terravian charged her.
Archer smiled when seeing this before letting the pain take him as he crashed to the ground, causing the Terravians to dash toward him, but a portal opened and a tall blonde woman crashed in front of him.
'Valariana,' he thought as the blonde woman went crazy.
The Chull Queen kicked an enemy in the chest, which sent him flying in the opposite direction as Archer spoke in a strained voice, ''Keep the bitch alive, I'll return the favor tenfold. She's fucking dead.''
When the women heard this, they turned to him and nodded as Brooke spoke, ''Valariana, you protect our husband! Don't let any of these dogs get near him.''
Archer watched as the blonde nodded and stood firm in front of him as she tore apart two Terravians that rushed toward them. A strained smile appeared on his face as Apollonia was panicking.
She was summoning even more fights until no more appeared. The four women stood across from the enemies. Brooke hadn't calmed down, causing her to appear in front of the pink-haired woman with an evil smile.
The older woman slapped her, which rang out and sent Apollonia crashing into the nearby wall. Following that, they fought again; this time, a wave of magic and swords annihilated their enemies.
Archer watched them all die a gruesome death and the pink-haired woman was bruised and battered beyond belief. He smiled when he saw this and tried to stand, but one of his legs gave way because of the amount of damage.
Valariana quickly supported him with a worried expression. ''I'll help you, Master. You're badly injured.''
He nodded before explaining, ''I am, and it hurts. That bitch used something that disabled my regeneration, and now I can't heal.''
