Chapter 3: Chapter 3 Perform Well
"Thank you," Qin Yucen's eyes misted with tears, a faint smile blossoming on her pure white face.
She set down the proposal, bowed slightly, and turned to leave.
Qin Yucen not only had a charming face but also a graceful and attractive figure; even her silhouette was enticing.
Qin Yucen hastened her steps and left, running outside where the snow was falling heavily, the snowflakes landing on her black hair. She did not bother to shake off the snowflakes, only feeling the ice gradually forming in her heart.
After Guan Haoyang left due to his grandfather's severe illness, she was tasked with single-handedly bearing the weight of Guanshan Group. The responsibilities she carried on her shoulders were unimaginable to others, every step she took had to be careful, and each decision had to be made cautiously.
She felt like a robot each day, often working more than twelve hours. Sometimes she worked overtime in the office until the early morning, sometimes she would take documents home and fall asleep while reading, and sometimes she had to entertain late at night, where being coerced into drinking was inevitable.
Many times, she nearly couldn't keep going with this endless relentless effort. What was it all for?
Was it to keep this family business for him, or to repay her grandfather's kindness?
Five years had passed, and her heart felt as if it never had any support, so tired, so tired.
She looked at the slightly deformed condom in her palm, feeling a tight pain in her chest.
She pulled out her phone and called Guan Haoyang.
At that moment, Guan Haoyang, who was entertaining at Club No. 6, did not notice his phone vibrating on the sofa, but the woman sitting next to him did. Her finger unintentionally grazed the speaker, then she picked up a glass of wine and toasted the man drinking with Guan Haoyang, "Mr. Du, let me drink this one with you. The wine at Club No. 6 is particularly exquisite."
"Haoyang, with such a beautiful assistant to shield you from drinking, I won't be polite," Du Jian, a friend of Guan Haoyang, handsome and from a good family, was known in their circle as a notorious playboy who favored beautiful girls.
Hearing "Club No. 6," Qin Yucen hung up the phone and jumped into her BMW, driving towards Club No. 6.
The luxurious and decadent Club No. 6, a hedonistic haven of the mortal world.
Qin Yucen at the front desk asked for the suite where Guan Haoyang was located, walked down the hallway, the dim lights casting a beautiful glow on her exquisite features. She stopped in front of the suite door, took a deep breath, as a server with a tray passed by her.
She blocked his path with her hand, placed some money on the tray, then picked up a glass of wine and downed it in one gulp.
The server glanced at her, and Qin Yucen found his look somewhat odd, "Isn't this money enough?"
The server shook his head and left without saying anything.
Emboldened by the alcohol, Qin Yucen pushed open the door of the suite and saw Guan Haoyang with his arms around a girl who looked as innocent as a student; she was clinging tightly to him.
Guan Haoyang's features were strikingly handsome, especially his dark, bright peach blossom eyes that seemed electrifying. His stern face was sharply contoured, and even a simple white shirt could not hide his noble demeanor.
Everyone was having a great time and hadn't noticed Qin Yucen had quietly arrived.
The girl clinging to Guan Haoyang batted her innocent eyes, "Guan Haoyang, Du Jian said you have a villa in Lishan. Can I visit your home tonight?"
Anyone who intended to could understand the hint in her words. Du Jian then smiled at Guan Haoyang, "Haoyang, earlier you had a female assistant blocking drinks for you, and now a beauty is throwing herself at you. You're quite the lucky man."
Guan Haoyang's handsome face remained unchanged, merely picking up his glass to sip it lightly. But the girl, seemingly unwilling to give up, leaned into his ear with a breath as soft as orchids, sickly sweet, "President Guan, if you stay silent, that means you agree..."
Guan Haoyang looked up, his gaze crashing into Qin Yucen's soft, dewy eyes. He wasn't the slightest bit flustered, only watching as she approached him, his voice devoid of any personal emotions, "President, I'd like to talk to you alone about our contract with Tanghuang Group."
"Ms. Qin is truly dedicated." Du Jian's somewhat greedy gaze roamed over Qin Yucen, "Since you're here, why not have a few drinks?"
"Mr. Du, I'll treat you next time. Today, I came to discuss business with President Guan." Qin Yucen politely declined, her gaze fixed on Guan Haoyang and the woman pressing close to him.
Guan Haoyang merely lightly tugged the girl's delicate hand off his shoulder, "I'm already married, it seems inconvenient for you to visit."
Qin Yucen's heart loosened slightly at Guan Haoyang's words, but Du Jian retorted, "When did you get married?"
"We didn't know each other back then," Guan Haoyang set his glass down on the table, his eyes entangling with Qin Yucen's in the air.
"Sister, why are you here?" Qin Yucen felt a tap on her shoulder, turned around, and saw her younger sister, Qin Yurong. She lowered her voice by her ear, "Sister, don't be mad at your brother-in-law. It's just socializing."
The marital relationship between Qin Yucen and Guan Haoyang was known to only a few people.
"I've seen more pretense than you." Qin Yucen lightly smiled, looking at her well-meaning sister.
Guan Haoyang's lips curled up slightly, his voice low, "Let's break it up."
Everyone left one by one, and the private room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
Guan Haoyang saw that she was silent, "Isn't there something you wanted to discuss? Go ahead."
Qin Yucen took out from her purse the Durex condoms that she had squeezed out of shape and hurled them with all her strength at Guan Haoyang, "Tell me if it was you who put these condoms in my document bag? Are you planning to use me to secure the Tanghuang contract?"
Guan Haoyang looked at the items that had fallen onto his knees, his eyes growing colder, his eyebrows furrowed.
"Why are you silent?" Qin Yucen saw that he remained silent, her heart aching, "Are you at a loss for words?"
Guan Haoyang looked down and took a wine bottle to pour the dark red wine into his crystal goblet. The liquid, under the light, refracted brilliant hues. His silence, in Qin Yucen's eyes, was an affirmation.
Qin Yucen stretched out her fair hands to tightly grab his collar, her eyes filled with immense anger, "Did you silently allow others to do as they please with me? Why? What did I do wrong to make you treat me so cruelly? Even if you're dissatisfied with me, you can't push me into the bed of another man!"
