A Ninja Calamity is a Hufflepuff at Hogwarts

Chapter 13: Ch 13: The Advance Student - Part 2

The days at Hogwarts passed in a blur of lessons, the structure of magical academia both fascinating and frustrating for Kouchi. Charms, Transfiguration, and Potions were an endless stream of rigid instructions, rote memorization, and meticulous wandwork. But as the days wore on, something else caught Kouchi's attention.

Hogwarts, with all its grandeur, had secrets—hidden passages, obscure corridors, and rooms tucked away behind enchanted doors that whispered with magic. Kouchi had already noticed the faint traces of these hidden spaces, the way the air shifted in certain parts of the castle, or how the magic felt… slightly off, like the flow of chakra in an unfamiliar area.

He had always been a curious soul, and Hogwarts was a treasure trove of potential knowledge. But something about these strange, unpredictable areas of the castle piqued his interest. Some passages felt unstable, as if the flow of magic was disturbed or twisted. The idea of exploring those spaces was almost irresistible, yet Kouchi knew better than to rush headlong into danger without a plan.

The more he walked the halls, the more he found—an unnoticed door hidden behind a tapestry here, a hidden staircase there, or an odd crack in the wall that didn't quite fit with the rest of the castle's design. Kouchi quickly learned to observe the castle from a different angle, paying attention to the subtle cues that others overlooked.

By the time the dinner bell rang, Kouchi had already formulated a plan: one by one, he would visit each of these strange places. He knew it wasn't safe, but he also knew that not many students would dare venture into such unpredictable zones. This would give him an edge, the opportunity to study the peculiarities of Hogwarts' magic.

That night, after dinner, Kouchi retreated to his dorm room. The common room buzzed with laughter and chatter, but Kouchi's mind was elsewhere. He felt the weight of his housemates' gazes as he entered the room, the subtle but unmistakable tension in the air.

The whispers began almost immediately.

"Did you see the way he walked in?" one voice murmured, barely audible but still cutting through the quiet of the room.

"I heard he's a dangerous person. Came here for some... special mission or something. You think it's true?" another voice replied, its tone tinged with fear.

Kouchi didn't need to listen further to know what they were saying. It wasn't like he hadn't noticed the way people looked at him since he arrived. It wasn't just his serious demeanor or his sharp features; it was the aura he projected—the unspoken warning that he was not someone to be trifled with.

He walked past his roommates, who quickly looked away, pretending to be absorbed in their own activities. Kouchi didn't care for their discomfort; it was no different from the way things had always been. The sense of isolation was familiar.

Pulling the curtain around his bed, Kouchi settled down, preparing himself for the night. His mind wandered back to the passages he had mapped out earlier, to the places where magic was unstable, where he could learn, explore, and maybe even manipulate the flow of magic itself. The idea intrigued him more than he let on.

But there was something else on his mind as well—how long would it take for the rumors to spread? How long before every student in Hogwarts started whispering about the "dangerous" Uchiha kid? He could already sense the divide between him and his housemates, the growing unease that lingered every time he entered the room.

The next morning, Kouchi was met with something he had expected but had hoped wouldn't be as pronounced. The moment he stepped into the Great Hall for breakfast, he felt it—a sudden drop in the usual chatter, a tightening in the atmosphere as people subtly shifted their gaze toward him.

He could hear snippets of conversation as he passed by groups of students.

"Did you hear about him? They say he's a cold-blooded killer, came from some backward village. A real monster."

"I heard he can kill with his bare hands. He doesn't even need a wand."

"He looks like he could snap anyone in half without even trying," someone whispered from behind a newspaper.

Kouchi's eyes narrowed, but he didn't stop walking. He knew what they were saying about him. It wasn't anything new. He had always been the outcast, the kid who didn't belong in the world of normal people.

But still, the rumors were spreading around too much and they were too exagerating for his liking.

Hogwarts was no different, especially with his strange aura and the obvious gaps in his behavior and social cues. But the rumors had escalated quickly—too quickly.

It was more than just his unsettling silence. The sheer uncertainty about his past had spurred a new narrative, one where Kouchi was cast as the villain before he had even spoken to most of his classmates.

"Have you heard the rumors?" a voice whispered to him as he passed the Ravenclaw table.

"Yeah, they say he's dangerous. No one in our year wants to talk to him. They're scared."

Kouchi made no effort to hide his irritation as he grabbed a piece of toast. His eyes flicked around the room, noting how the other first-years were avoiding him, giving him wide berth. He didn't care much for the attention—whether they feared him or admired him, it was the same. A distraction, nothing more.

And yet, despite himself, a small part of him felt a flash of irritation. These students had no idea who he was or what he could do. They were making assumptions based on what? His lack of social graces? His quiet demeanor? His glowing tattoos?

But Kouchi quickly squashed that frustration. He didn't need to explain himself to anyone. He had his mission, and Hogwarts was just a pit stop—an obstacle to navigate through, not a place to form friendships.

As he ate his breakfast, the whispers continued to circulate, but Kouchi blocked them out. He focused instead on his plans for the day. After classes, he would continue his exploration of the castle's hidden passages.

There were too many areas in the school where the flow of magic was unpredictable—where the magical energies seemed to twist and contort in ways Kouchi knew could be useful, if only he could understand them better.

He could already picture it—mapping out the most unstable points in the castle, understanding their magical origins, and perhaps even learning to bend that magic to his will. He was far from done with Hogwarts. In fact, the more he saw of the school, the more fascinated he became with its intricacies.

But there was one thing he knew for sure: the sooner he dealt with the whispers and rumors, the better. If Hogwarts was going to be a place where he would remain isolated, he would make it work to his advantage.

His mission had always been to observe and protect—whether anyone realized it or not.

"Ah, maybe I should do something about these rumors after all. It won't be a good idea if this becomes my permanent image going forward."

Kouchi reasoned with himself, but when it came time to execute what he needed to, he suddenly felt too lazy.
