...

After saying goodbye to my cute girlfriends, I went straight to the hotel to look for my father, however, when I arrived, there was no sign of him.

"Are you looking for your father, boy?" – Kev asked when he saw me coming down the stairs.

I didn't know he could be so insightful.

"Is it so noticeable?" – I asked curiously.

"You've been here for a few days and I've always seen you come back at night and since it's not night yet and you're back... something must have happened, therefore, you must be looking for your father to tell him: Am I wrong?" – he said.

Oh, not bad at all; this man is quite insightful.

"Exactly. I have to talk to him about an important matter, but I've been to the beach and even to his room and he's not in any of those places: Do you happen to know where he can be?" – I said.

"I don't know exactly where, but a couple of hours ago he came back from the beach muttering something that someone had left or something, then he said he was going for a walk and hasn't been back since. That's all I know" - said Kev.

Is it possible that by not seeing the man on the beach, my father was a little happy at last?

"Did he say anything else? Anything is good for me to be able to find him" – I said.

What a coincidence, the only day I want him to be here and it turns out that he has gone for a walk around the island; Can I be more unlucky?

"He didn't say anything, but not if you didn't find him on the beach... He may have gone to the museum or something, you can try looking around that area" – Kevin suggested.

The truth is... which is not a bad idea, he may have gone there and don't ask me the reason, in fact, I don't even know if I'll find him in that area; I'm just going to try my luck.

"Thank you very much" – I said.

"You're welcome" - said Kev.

After that, I left the place and headed straight towards the museum, which was right in the direction of the destroyed old orphanage, it is curious to think that in this era, the orphanage is completely destroyed, but on the other side of the loop, it is as if it were completely new: Doesn't it seems like a magical and mysterious sensation? Because every time I think about it, it gives me that feeling, the excitement of the first day i came tho the island, the excitement of wanting to find the peculiar children, the emotions I felt when I found them, the emotions I felt when I started dating girls... I still maintain that emotion, the emotions I feel have not yet been extinguished, but are even stronger and with the expectation of staying with them, my excitement grew even more, but before I leave and leave this place, before I leave to live with the peculiars, I have to work things out with my father, after all, I don't want to leave my father without at least encouraging him, or at least not without having tried.

That's why I came out of the loop earlier today, so I can try to help him one last time. I know it probably won't do any good and it is possible that the same thing happened in our previous conversations will happen, but... I must try; it is my duty as his son.

I walked to the museum while observing my surroundings, today in Cairnholm was a particularly bad day, it wasn't raining, but it was actually quite cold. It was a bad idea not to bring any jackets to this island.

Anyway, when I arrived at the museum, I saw that inside, there was only Martín sitting in a small chair and reading a kind of book entitled: "How to feed your cat well". I guess he has a cat or something like that.

Without him seeing me, I left the museum or else I would have to say hello to Martín and strike up a conversation with him and, honestly, I don't want to waste time talking to anyone other than my father.

"Damn, where has he gone?" – I asked myself frowning.

The only day I go out early of the loop to help him and I can't find him.

"Maybe..." – I said somewhat thoughtfully.

With a brisk step, I began to walk in the direction of the orphanage, that wasn't my destiny, no, my destination was all there was on the way there, maybe my father, happy that the other observer had left, decided to walk in the woods or something, that's the only thing I can think of.

"If I don't find him on the way to the orphanage, I'll wait for him at the hotel, after all, I can't be looking for him all day" – I said.

But if I didn't find him, I wasn't going to be satisfied, after all, I would have wasted all day looking for a person instead of spending the rest of the day with my new cute girlfriends, so I hope that's not the case.

Anyway, determined to find him, I continued walking straight, and with a little luck, find my father.

I continued walking for several minutes, until...

"Hey, Yankee, come here!" - someone suddenly shouted.

Confused by the lack of respect, I turned around only to see an amazing and quite surreal setting, in front of me was the shepherd (curiously, the sheep farm is in the same place as in the Cairnholm of the past), but the odd thing was not the shepherd, but the landscape behind him, behind him were dozens of sheep lying on the ground, dead and some of them disemboweled with their organs coming out of their bloodied bodies.

"What's wrong?" – I asked surprised.

"What have you been doing today?" – asked the pastor.

"I don't want to sound rude, but... what do you care where I've been?" – I said somewhat angrily.

He was talking to me in a very disrespectful tone and I didn't like his attitude towards me.

"Do you get pimp; Don't you see the landscape around you? Tell me, was it you who did this?" – asked the shepherd.

"I have done nothing to your sheeps" - I said calmly.

"I don't believe you!" – said the shepherd.

"If you don't believe me, that's your problem, not mine" – I said.

"You... It must have been you! Who else would do such an atrocity?" – said the shepherd angrily.

I was going to say something, but suddenly, someone put a hand on my shoulder.

"He already said he didn't do anything, in addition, I know my son perfectly well and I know that he would not be able to do something like that, so show a little more respect" – said that someone.

He was basically my father.

"Hello, Dad" – I greeted.

"Hello, Jacob, it seems that I come at the perfect time: Don't you think so?" – he smiled.

I was surprised by his smile. Where is the father who until a few days ago was on the verge of tears? That smile said the opposite.

"Fine, so, tell me: Who could have done all this? There have never been such incidents in Cairnholm and what a coincidence that just when you appear, something like this happens; Who could it have been if not?" – said the shepherd.

He seemed a little calmer, but the same could not be said of his anger.

"Calm down, they tell the truth" – someone said suddenly.

We all looked and it was the butcher, who was carrying the blond-haired boy as if he were a sack of potatoes... What was his name? I think he told me his nickname... I think he called himself Dirty Dylan or something, yes, I think that was his name and nickname.

"What are you doing here?" – asked the shepherd confused.

"I already told you, I think I have found the real culprit of this whole affair" – said the butcher.

Then, he pulled Dylan off his shoulder, who immediately tried to escape, luckily, the butcher was quicker and grabbed him by the neck before he could escape.

"Let go of me!" – Dylan exclaimed trying to get away.

"What do you mean you've found the culprit?" - the shepherd asked.

"It was him, yesterday I went for a night walk and saw him prowling around the area, what a coincidence that the next day this disaster occurred: Don't you think so?" – said the butcher.

One minute... Wasn't the butcher Dylan's father? There's a cat in a cage here.

"I didn't do anything! I was just taking a walk with my colleagues!" – Dylan exclaimed offended.

"Really? Where were your colleagues then? Why don't I remember seeing anyone with you?" – exclaimed the butcher.

"… I felt like peeing and stepped away for a moment, you can ask them if you want" - Dylan said.

"Do you think I'm dumb, kid?" – said the shepherd angrily.

But before I could say anything else, my father intervened.

"Excuse me, I think that boy can't be the culprit" – my father said.

"And why are you saying that?" – asked the confused shepherd.

"Because my son here was yesterday with those boys, so he will be able to prove that the boy over there is telling the truth" – my father said.

Shit!

"What are you saying? Since I took him to the old orphanage, I've never seen him again" - Dylan said.

Surprised, my father looked at me as if to say: What is he talking about?

"Jacob... Have you been lying to me?" – my father asked.

"We'll talk later, but it's not what you're thinking" – I said calmly.

It's best not to panic, okay, my lie has come out, but there's no need to be nervous, I'll find a way out of this.

"I hope for truths, Jacob and no more lies" – my father said.

He seemed to want to say something to me, yell at me or something like that, but he was restrained due to the presence of the three people present there.

"Whatever, now that there's no one to prove you're innocent... You're going to come with me, young man" - said the shepherd.

In one swift move, he grabbed Dylan by the ear and dragged him with him to god knows where.

"No; I didn't do it! My friends can attest to that!" – Dylan shouted.

"Save your excuses for yourself, kid! Now you are going to regret having done what you have done" – said the shepherd.

And then, between screams, the shepherd took Dylan away.
