A strange town

Chapter 5: Third Day

Note- I forgot to add with the short story that they might be canon and are happening in the background or are just not canon or that they might be different possibilities, you'll see an example in the story.

Another thing is that I am trying to get a schedule up and going, I am trying to get at least 1 chapter every week for at least one of my stories but mostly trying to get 2 chapters out a week.

anyway that is it, so I hope you enjoy this chapter fair warning though, this might be the worst one I have written so ye, also some criticism would be nice.

-----------

'It's still raining.' I thought as I looked out the window.

I had woken up around 4:43, rather early again, and got ready for school, finishing around 4:51. After that, I went to the living room and waited for it to become 5:10.

~tap, tap~

Turning around, I could hear the sound of someone walking.

"Hello.." they said.

"Hello Robin." I replied. "You're up early, I think."

"I don't usually wake up this early." she said before stretching. "Mmmmmha, I couldn't fall asleep again so I'm just waiting."

~huuu, aararaaar~, she yawned.

"Okay." I said.

I watched as she sat down beside me and rested her head on me.

"Sorry, I am still rather tired…"

"It's fine." I said, letting her rest on me.

I continued watching the rain as Robin rested on me.

"Hey, why do you like watching things so much?" she said suddenly.

I looked over to her before sighing. "It is a habit I have gotten from watching the sky so much."

She looked up to me, still resting her head on me. "That's interesting." she said before getting off. "I guess I understand the reason. Nature can be rather beautiful." Smiling, she looked out the window, watching the rain with me.

"It is…." I said.

We continued to watch the rain together.

—-------

I got up from the couch and grabbed the coat that was on the couch as well, and put it on.

"You're leaving so early?" Robin asked, turning to me, confused.

"Yeah. I like to leave early."

She squinted her eyes at me. "Hmmmmmmm" she had her hand on her chin, caressing it like one would do in a movie when they are trying to figure something out. "Alright." she said while shrugging her shoulders.

I looked at her with a deadpan look before sighing. "Alright then see ya later." I said waving before leaving the building.

I walked over to the bus stop and waited for the bus to come. The bench that was there was safe from the rain as it was covered.

Sitting down, I watched as the few cars in the town were driving from home to work.

Most of the people in this town walked to their job instead of driving, it was one of the main reasons it is said to be a near carbon free town, and because of this the people that lived here didn't bother to buy a car. Soooo, yeah, that's an interesting fact.

I turned as the bus could be seen.

Stopping, I walked onto the bus and bought the pass.

Sitting down, No one was on this time so I just did what I always did and watched out the window.

Watching the buildings go by, I could see some of the students that waited at the front gate could be seen walking.

"What the fuuu…" I watched as they were walking. I don't see them at the park which would mean…..

"They wait at the gate for that long…?" I whispered, looking at them with a wtf face.

The bus eventually reached the park. Getting off, I looked around to make sure that they don't actually wait for that long.

'No one is here…' I noticed. 'Fucking hell…..'

I sighed as I walked over to the same tree and hanged my book-bag before walking to the path.

Stretching, I got into position and started running.

~p,p,p,p,p,p,p~

"The sound of rain is getting faster." the person beside me said.

"Yeah it is." I said.

I was with Sydney in the library while she was working. We didn't talk a lot but had some small talk with each other.

Sydney was more focused on her work than talking with me but it seemed that she didn't mind my presence as she hadn't told me to leave or anything.

"Hey, I can walk with you today." I said.

"Oh, that's good." she said, stopping her work for a second and smiled. "Okay then I'll be waiting for you at the front of school." she said.

"Alright." I said to her, giving her a thumbs up before checking the time. "I'll get going, so see ya."

"Alright." she said, smiling and waved.

I nodded and waved back before going to my class.

The hallways were filled with students talking with each other, not minding the time but I could notice a few of them were glancing at me.

"Ugh." someone bumped into me. I looked at her as they were on the floor while I was standing. She was of a stronger build than me so it was odd that they were on the floor and not me. "Hey watch where you're going." They said.

It was odd that they bumped into me to begin with as there was enough space in the hallway and they weren't with anyone so it couldn't be that they were being distracted from that.

They might have purposely bumped into me.

"Ughhh, of course this happens." I said to myself. I gave my hand to her. "Here, get up." I said.

She slapped my hand away as she got up on her own. "Don't you give me your help."

'But didn't you...never mind.' I thought and sighed. "Look, I don't want any trouble right now so I'll just get going." I said before walking around them.

"No you don't, you have to repay me for bumping into me." she said as she put her hand on my shoulder, stopping me. "Looking at you, you're rather cute so I think I know how you can repay me." She said, licking her lips.

I turned to her with a quick glare. "The fuck did you say you gorilla." I said. She noticeably flinched from the quick glare I gave to her but I noticed how she reacted to the word gorilla, noticeably shaking from it slightly.

"I-I, mph, I said that you should repay me with your body, you bitch." she said, coughing mid sentence to control herself but still slightly shaking.

"Yeah, uh, no." I said before pushing her hand off me.

"No, no, you don't get to choose." she said before trying to grab me again. I moved out of the way, letting her trip and fall onto the ground.

"I don't think you understand me when I am saying no." I said. "Look at you gorilla, not understanding simple things." I said. She started to shake more, so I decided to do something. I suddenly spoke out loud.

"You're so desperate, I can imagine how someone like you thinks they can just ask someone out so roughly, you're like a gorilla, so unrefined and built like one." I said out loud grabbing the attention of the other people there. They noticed the girl on the ground and me standing beside her. They started to create their own stories about the situation using my words.

Some of them started to laugh and make their own comments about her, mostly laughing at her.

"She really thought she could have a relationship with a male when looking like a gorilla." Someone said, making more people join.

In the end, most of the people here started to make fun of her.

"B-b-b-but I.." she tried to speak.

"But what, you such a gorilla, can't even speak like a human." Another girl said.

"Hey!" I shouted. The people stopped talking and looked at me from my shout. "Everyone stop making fun of her, it is too much!" I said.

"But didn't-" Someone tried to speak but I cut them off.

"I said stop." I said, turning to them with a glare. They quickly stopped talking and left the place, leaving me and the girl alone.

I could see that she had tears on her face as she was looking down on the floor, sobbing.

"Stop, please stop it." she said between sobs, not noticing how people weren't here anymore.

"This is what I get for doing something that could have ended badly." I said to myself before I sighed.

"Hey!" I said, trying to get her attention but it didn't work.

"Fucking hell, HEY!" I said before shouting to her. It seemed to work this time as she looked up to me and started shaking more.

"I-I-I-I'm s-s-s-sorry, please don't hurt me." she started spouting.

"Hey, hey-" I grabbed her face, making her look at me. "-don't worry, I won't hurt you." I said.

It didn't seem to calm her down and instead seemed to make her worse as she started to shake more.

'At this point, it could turn into a panic attack if it isn't already.' I thought.

"Hey, look around, no one is here. No one can hurt you." I said to her with a softer tone.

She, despite shaking so much, was able to look around in a panic and noticed how no one was there. She shakes slightly less but is still rather bad.

"D-d-d-id they a-a-all le-e-ave?" she asked, probably not expecting an answer.

"Yes, I made sure of it." I said while giving her a slight smile. "Don't worry about it, I took care of it." I said softly while I leaned to her ear.

She stopped shaking badly and started to breathe better before suddenly hugging me.

"Thankyouthankyouthankyou." she said quickly while hugging me roughly.

"It's fine, don't worry. I just wanted to help you. I couldn't let someone so beautiful down, could I now." I said into her ear while softly caressing her head.

She started to cry more while thanking me profusely.

In the state she was in, she couldn't put her thoughts together and wouldn't blame me for starting the bullying and instead saw me in a better light because despite her trying to bully and hurt me, I still helped her even though I am the reason she is like this currently. She is seeing me as a better person and has a higher opinion of me.

Even after this, when she would be in a better state of mind and is able to put things together, she would still feel more grateful as her subconscious would not let her hate me exactly. She could feel angry at me but in the end she would still feel grateful. It was easy to tell that she had some trauma from something.

'I didn't want to do this. I fucking hated it.' I thought.

This was something I didn't like to do but the odd things that were happening to me were too coincidental and there was a reason for this and she was the person I needed to figure this out.

"Sorry but I should get going, let's meet later on, okay." I said, smiling slightly.

She nodded before letting me go and walk away. She seemed to not want to let me go with how she reached out her arm but didn't stop me.

I walked to my class and waited for it to begin.

(honestly this just sucked so sorry for having to read that)

—----

It was lunch, I was on the rooftop sitting on the edge again. I was watching as 2 guys were fighting. One that was bald and black with a lot of muscle and the other that was small but was experienced with some martial arts but god were they awful at using it, they also had blond hair.

The black guy was winning, so I decided to throw something at the guy, it was a rock, not a big but a decent size pebble, that I found earlier, and hit them on their hand, hurting them badly and letting the little guy get multiple hits on them.

(you get it you get it)

"Yeah go get them." I said to myself as I watched before losing interest and started watching the sky again.

~crreeeeeaaakk~

The sound of a door opening could be heard. Turning around, I could see the girl 2 days ago talking with some of her friends. They didn't notice me at first until one of the girls pointed at me, notifying them about my presence.

I got off the edge as the main girl walked over to me with a grin.

"Well, well, well, look who we got here. The bitch." She said.

"And I get to see the bitch that got sent to the floor." I said before sighing. "What even is your name in the first place?" I asked.

"Whitney but to you it's queen." She said.

"What the fuuu….never mind that, what got you here?" I asked.

"Nothing really but I happen to see someone that I wouldn't mind giving a lesson they deserve." She said before rushing at me.

She got close to me before throwing a punch, if it could be called a punch.

I moved out of the way before grabbing her by the neck of her shirt, hurting her from suddenly stopping and hitting her throat against the shirt.

~cough~"aaaacchh, what the fuck." she said. Her friends, noticing the situation, tried to do something about it but I just pulled Whitney by the shirt and threw her at them basically. They stopped and grabbed her, asking her if she was alright.

"Yeah, don't worry about it." she told them before standing up.

"You really are a son of bitch." she said.

"I guess but what can I do about it?" I told her.

"I'll let you be for now but do know that I always get what I want in the end." She said before walking away from me to the other side of the roof. Her friends looked at me for a bit with some anger before following her.

I sighed before looking back and saw how the fight had ended with the small boy winning in the end.

"Huh, good job." I said to him despite not being able to hear me. I got up and left to go find a teacher and tell them about the black dude starting a fight.

'They should believe me with the evidence I got.' I thought while holding my phone with a video of the fight.

—----

There were a few things that can actually anger me and the thing I was currently seeing was one of them. Before this I was walking to my class as lunch was about to end but I could hear the sound of someone being bullied.

Walking to the source of the sound, I could see a student being made fun of and having their things being thrown around. I could see that there were no teachers here to stop this and the other students were doing nothing but just watching or ignoring it and walking away from it.

"Tch, of course." I said to myself. I watched as no one was doing anything so running out of patience, I walked over to the people that were bullying the gal.

"Hey." I said, catching their attention.

"Hey dude, are you here to join? We got enough for one more." One of them said.

"No." I said before walking over to one of the guys and punched them in their gut.

"Aaccchhh!" they spewed out. This quickly got the attention of the others.

"Hey what the hell do you think you're doing!?" One shouted.

"Stopping this fucking clown carnival." I said to them.

"You bit-" one tried to speak but I turned and punched them in their jaw.

"Hey, hey, let's stop, we'll leave the girl alone, just stop hitting them." one said, trying to defuse the situation.

"Fine." I said. "Get going."

They nodded and left quickly, helping the ones that I had punched. The students that were watching were looking at me with some fear in their eyes.

"Well what are you still watching for, the show is over. Leave if you don't want to be punched either." I told them. They quickly understood and left the place.

[-status]

I turned to the girl that was being bullied. "Hey you good?" I asked.

They looked at me for a bit before nodding.

"Alright then I'll get going, you should start heading to class as well." I told them before walking away.

—-----

It didn't take long for school to end as nothing really interesting happened during class.

'I wonder how the blond kid is doing.' I thought while walking to the gates.

I could see Sydney standing near the gate waiting for me. She was holding an umbrella as it was still raining despite it being almost 2 days straight of rain.

Walking over to her, she noticed me and waved. "Hello, are you doing well?" she asked.

"I am"

"That's good." she smiled. "Anyway~ let's get going." she said.

"Yeah.." I said.

'She didn't even let me ask her.' I thought. I almost pouted but stopped myself because I don't want anyone to see that horror, not even for my worst enemies.

As we were leaving I looked at her to ask "Where are we going to?".

She looked at me. "Ummm, where do you live?" she asked.

"At the orphanage."

"Ohhh.." she seemed to be slightly upset, probably worried that it might have made me remember bad memories.

"Don't worry about it. I don't really have any bad memories." I said, hoping to make her happier.

"Okay" she said, nodding. "I am going to the church, so we can stop there and you can basically drop me off there." she continued her question.

"Alright, I don't mind that." I nodded.

"K." she smiled.

We continued walking, not talking that much but the silence wasn't bad but rather calming. The rain continued to make a symphony of sound, adding to the silence.

There were few people that were walking in the rain, they were either by themselves or with a friend. The noise of their footsteps and the sound of distant talking made the symphony sound natural and peaceful to the ear and calming to the brain.

[-stress, -trauma]

"Hey." Sydney suddenly said, grabbing my attention.

"Hmm." I turned to look at her.

"Uhh, why do you hang out with me often?" she asked.

I raised my brow. "Can I not?" I asked.

"I mean yes but I just…." she thought for a bit. "I am not the greatest person to be around." she answered.

'She is in doubt.' I thought. 'But why?'

"You seem to be a good person around, it wouldn't be strange for you to be with other people instead of me.." she trailed off.

"Ughhh." I groaned.

"Eh. Did I say something wrong?" she asked quickly.

"No you didn't but if you hadn't noticed-" I stopped walking as we had reached the church. "-I don't have a lot of friends- well I don't have friends but you understand what I mean."

She seemed to be confused by something. "But why, you're a good person to be around?" she asked.

"But people don't talk with me, and honestly why should they?" I answered.

"Becau-" I cut her off.

"They don't know me and you see how I look, I am not the most friendly looking person but-" I stopped.

"But what?"

"You still talked with me despite that, why would I talk with those people who hadn't even tried to talk with me instead of the girl who talked to me without care." I answered, smirking. "You're a good person, why shouldn't I talk with you."

She blushed slightly and smiled. "Heheh, thanks for that."

"No problem." I said and gave her a fist bump.

"Yeah…." she said, looking at the fist before bumping it.

"Alright then, see ya later." I said, waving at her while walking away.

"See you later." she said before walking into the church.

'You're a good person, don't forget that.' I thought to myself.

—------

I was in the park.

After me and Sydney had separated, I started walking to the chalets, going through the park. The reason I am still here is because of someone else that was here.

Near the fountain of the park, I could see an umbrella and a trail of smoke coming from it. The person who was using the umbrella was Whitney who was smoking a cigarette. She didn't seem to be in the best mood.

"Hey, how's it going Whitney!?" I shouted at her. No one else was at the park and I didn't shout too loud to begin with, just enough to get her attention.

"Hmm, oh, it's you..tch." she said once she turned to me. "What do you want?" she said, giving me a glare.

"Hmph, can't I talk with someone that I find interesting, not to mention rather beautiful." I said, trying to keep a straight face, buuttt. "Pfhhhhh, sorry, sorry but I don't mean to laugh. Heheheh."

"Tch, shut up you fucker." She said before breathing in some smoke.

I went and stood beside her. "So, how has your day been?" I asked, trying to make some small talk.

She turned to me with a 'wtf' face. "Are you seriously asking me that question?" she said.

"Yeah, I am." I looked into her eyes. "Can I not ask someone how they are?"

"Yeah you can but you're asking me that." she replied.

"Well, I just want to ask you that, okay. I just want to know how you're feeling." I said.

"You're not going to give up asking until I tell you, correct?" she asked, looking at me with an annoyed stare.

"Yep."

"Ugghh, fine." she said with a groan. "It's been fine until I happened to meet you again."

"Sorry I guess but it's not my fault, we go to the same school." I told her.

"Yeah, yeah." she breathed out some more smoke. "Can you leave me now?"

"Not yet."

"Tch, fucking hell. Just leave." she said glaring at me again.

"Why would I want to stop talking to someone that I not only find interesting but also rather beautiful." I said, looking at her.

"Tch, stop trying to make the same fucking joke." she said, glaring.

"Who said it was a joke?" I looked at her, staring at her ruby red eye. "I'm not lying by saying you are interesting and beautiful."

"H-huh!" she squeaked. "Y-you fucking. Shut up!" she glared at me trying to appear threatening but it just made look cute due to the small blush on her face.

"Heheh, yeah, yeah. I'll get going. See ya!" I said to her before walking away.

—------

(Whitney)

'You can't just fucking say that with such a straight face!' I shouted at him in my mind.

I was watching the fucker walking away after calling me beautiful so suddenly. It was sudden and I wasn't able to control myself well, he was probably able to see the small blush I wasn't able to calm down.

I wasn't used to being called such things, so it's no surprise that being suddenly called beautiful would cause me to lose some control of myself. It wasn't better that it was him of all people to call me that.

[+love(Whitney)]

I sighed, I looked at the cigarette that I was using. He, while being good at hiding it, didn't like the smell of the cigarette.

"Tch."

'He probably stopped talking with me after because of this.' I thought to myself before putting it out.

"Wait, what." I said to myself, noticing what I had just thought.

'Fucking hell, he is affecting me.' I thought.

I looked over to the place that he was standing, I could see the area where the rain hadn't hit that much, outlining the way he was standing. I walked over to it noticing something that he seemed to forget.

Opening it, I could see the things that he brought to school, it was his school bag, before noticing something else.

Taking it out, another bag could be seen and opening it, you could see the clothes he used for the swimming lessons.

'I could take it.' I thought. 'I could use it to make fun of him.'

'Yeah, only that, nothing else, well maybe a few things…But nothing else.' I told myself.

I took out his underwear from it and closed it before putting it back in the school bag and leaving it. I put away the underwear into my own school bag.

~tap, tap~

I heard someone running to my direction. Turning around, I could see him coming back again.

"Fucking hell." he said before reaching me and grabbing his bag before looking at me. "You didn't grab anything, right?" he asked, looking at me with a small glare, the glare wasn't that bad compared to his other.

"Of course I fucking didn't, you probably don't have anything worth something." I said.

"Hmmmmmm, alright." he said, shrugging his shoulders before leaving again.

'Something is wrong with him.' I thought, not noticing the small smile she had.

"Hmph." I looked at him walking away before I too started to leave this park
