Chapter 46 - Snake’s Apology II
Wan Zhong sat with his knees on the edge of the redwood forest. On the hillside, he didn’t even look at Xuan Ming and the huge bouquet wrapped in his tail. He turned his back and ignored him.
Xuan Ming placed the bouquet at the feet of his spouse and said somewhat uncomfortably: “The conflict between you and the black snake has nothing to do with me. Come back with me now.” As he spoke, he reached out to hug him, his behavior and word were so demanding that it made people feel uncomfortable.
Wan Zhong couldn’t bear it and beat Xuan Ming’s shoulder hard with his fist, crying: “You are like this every time! Every time! Aren’t the black snake and you the same snake? Doesn’t its matter also have something to do with you? Admit your mistake! Say you are sorry! Admit that you did something wrong! Be brave and bear your responsibilities! Promise that you won’t do this again next time! Is it really difficult?! Is it hard to admit you are wrong?!”
Wan Zhong’s eyes were red and swollen. It was obvious that he had been crying alone for a long time before.
Xuan Ming couldn’t bear to see his spouse cry, except when he was tying his tail.
Xuan Ming allowed Wan Zhong’s fists to fall on his shoulders like raindrops, listening to him yelling at all his faults. When he had vented enough and stopped with sobs, Xuan Ming held Wan Zhong’s face and kissed his lips. His Adam’s apple rolled slightly, and he apologized in a deep voice.
“I’m sorry. I was wrong. I will never do it again. I promise to find more seedlings to compensate you. Can you give me a chance? Forgive me this time and go back with me?”
Wan Zhong never said anything. He thought of Xuan Ming, the extremely arrogant and overbearing snake, would actually say such a thing, his fists loosened and Xuan Ming grabbed the back of his head and hugged him fiercely.
Wan Zhong saw a blazing green flame in his black eyes. He got closer and saw himself with a flushed face.
He didn’t know if it was because the night wind was too gentle, or because the bunch of roses and the fragrant was stirring.
Wan Zhong’s fingers on Xuan Ming’s shoulders clasped and unclenched. After repeating this several times, he finally followed Xuan Ming’s lips and kissed him, moved his hands up, and inserted them into the long, thick, and black hair…
Wan Zhong stopped pretending to be in pain. He whispered to Xuan Ming: “Become a human, even with the tongue.”
Xuan Ming was unwilling, “There is only one in human and human tongue is also very short.”
The long hair hanging around his ears was gathered back, and Wan Zhong rested his forehead on Xuan Ming’s shoulder to coax it: “Although there is only one, it will be the same if you come a few more times. As for the tongue… I haven’t kissed anyone yet; can you try it with me?”
The night wind blew by, and even the stars were twinkling with smiles.
Xuan Ming also laughed, his chest thundering, and he kissed Wan Zhong over and over again: “Okay, okay, everything is all up to you.”
.
That night, Xuan Ming seemed very happy, even in his dreams, he was calling his name: “Wan Zhong~ Wan Zhong~ My Wan Zhong~”
Wan Zhong rested against Xuan Ming, lying in Xuan Ming’s arms, looking at the star-studded night sky, listening to Xuan Ming’s sleep talk, and his heart had never been so peaceful.
He shrank back into the black hair that covered him. As soon as Xuan Ming stopped snoring, he subconsciously took Wan Zhong into his arms again.
Wan Zhong tilted his head slightly, and his lips touched Xuan Ming’s face pillowed on his shoulder. The feeling was quite good.
.
When the first ray of dawn illuminated the hillside, a new day began for one person and one snake. Everything was so full of hope.
All the snake skin on Wan Zhong’s body had been torn apart, and he couldn’t even put them together. He hugged his knees and stretched out his hands and said, “Give me your clothes to wear.”
Xuan Ming kissed his shoulder covered with tooth marks and hickeys and said with a chuckle, “I have seen it all before, so why are you so shy?” Having said that, he still gave him the black robe he was wearing.
Xuan Ming’s clothes were so big that Wan Zhong looked like a child wearing an adult’s clothes.
He touched the weightless material and truly understood what beautiful clothes were, perfect and seamless.
But Xuan Ming gave him his clothes, so he could only run naked.
Wan Zhong’s gaze slowly slid down along its well-defined abdominal muscles, skipping its beautiful mermaid line and the tiny fluff on its lower abdomen, and finally settled on –
“You,” Wan Zhong tilted his head, “You change into a snake. Don’t walk around naked like this.”
Xuan Ming did as Wan Zhong wished and transformed into a black snake. It was about to give his spouse a twist so that he could appreciate its beautiful snake body, but Wan Zhong’s expression suddenly changed and said: “Become half human and half snake, I don’t want to see you now.”
The black snake hesitated and immediately bared its teeth at him: [Didn’t you say we are the same snake? Why are you treating me differently now?]
“Change back.” Wan Zhong stretched out his hand and patted the black snake’s big head, the force was like a gentle caress.
The black snake spat out the snake tongue, and could only turn into half man and half snake again.
Wan Zhong originally wanted to ride Xuan Ming’s tail. He had not ridden Xuan Ming’s tail yet, but now his legs were really… had no strength.
Wan Zhong was held in Xuan Ming’s arms. When leaving, he wanted to take away those flowers who were not crushed. But Xuan Ming kissed his hair lovingly and said, “I’ll pick a new one for you.”
But he still picked up a slightly complete flower with his tail and handed it to Wan Zhong, letting him play with it on the road…
Xuan Ming didn’t use any magic power and crawled very slowly. Wan Zhong also enjoyed this slow time very much.
None of them spoke.
But every few minutes, Xuan Ming would kiss the top of Wan Zhong’s hair, and every time, Wan Zhong would smile slightly at the flowers in his hands.
The road that should have been able to go back in the blink of an eye, but one person and one snake walked from morning to sunset.
.
From far away.
Wan Zhong saw a man standing on the cliff.
White clothes, white hair, against the light.
The outline was truly beautiful…
