"Free? Is dying scared you so much that you now have become a comedian?" Wynter snorted.
Scarlet ignores Wynter's trash talks as she scanned the five men in the room.
Honestly, they are her only salvation in order to finish this quest but it will be hard to convince them after all the former [Scarlet] had done.
"For all the rebellion that happened during your reign you never let anyone of us free, what changed your mind? Did dying once really make you feel pity toward us?" Ragna added with mockery.
Scarlet stayed quieted as she thought of a way of making these men join her plan.
[Eternal Love] as said before is a skill that bound the soul of the [marked] to the owner of the skill that's why when [Scarlet] died they also experienced it too.
That's the reason for she having a hard time thinking how to convince them and justify her actions on this present day and future onwards. Not only that she needed to raise their love rate maybe with the plan she came up with they would have a different and good opinion about her.
As she was thinking, a pair of ruby eyes like her are also observing her. The moment she entered the room Siegfried had already noticed the difference in her atmosphere and actions.
"Are you Scarlet?" He couldn't help but ask with a smirk painted on his lips.
This startled Scarlet especially when an interface in bright red light flashes on her face.

Scarlet can't help curse mentally.
'I thought systems are the ones who will help you but why does this one want me to die so much.'
Shaking her head mentally, she replied to Siegfried with calm smiles.
"I am Scarlet."
"Really?" Siegfried raised an eyebrow and asked with doubt.
They say a person can know when you lie when you look at them in the eyes but Scarlet has mastered how to avoid people seeing the lies in her eyes. She already expected them to ask this question.
So, Scarlet calms her nerves and looks directly at Siegfried who had the corner of his lips raised in a teasing form.
"In fact, I am the real Scarlet." She lied.
"WHAT?!"
"W-what do you mean?" Pierre asked in disbelief.
Scarlet faced Pierre behind the bars that had a look of agony, disbelief and sadness marred on his beautiful face.
Suddenly a pink interface appeared on his head with his name and love rate percentage written on it.

'Is this part of the upgrade?'
Scarlet looks at the floating interface calmly as she tries to avoid the questioning gaze coming from those silver eyes.
She felt sorry for lying and breaking his heart but she will do anything to survive even spouting nonsense.
"Like I said, I am the real Scarlet. A demon had possessed my body when I was fifteen and for the years we are together you must have noticed the difference."
Despite absorbing [Scarlet's] memory earlier, it feels incomplete and some of [Scarlet] memory had some gaps or like it's been erased and one of those is when [Scarlet] turned fifteen.
When [Scarlet] was thirteenth she was lively and kind which Pierre had fallen in love with however everything changed when [Scarlet] turned fourteenth; her mother and younger brother died due to battles in the royal harem and the king's ignorance.
The lively girl was gone and she became gloomy and quiet that's why everyone felt when [Scarlet] turned fifteen and massacre the whole royal family was due to the loss of her mother and brother and justify her action as revenge.
But for the current Scarlet it feels like something fishy going on in fact [Eternal Love] is not as skill the former [Scarlet] is born with but she gained this skill when she turned fifteen and she tried to remember how [Scarlet] got it but unfortunately she couldn't remember like it was hidden or erase. And with those plot holes she can use it to create a story and lie to them with a straight face.
"You are lying, if it's a demon I could have detected it!" Elliot interfered not believing her lies.
Scarlet sighed and looked at the interface.

Forty five minutes had passed already.

The demon that possesses my body must be so strong that even with the protection of the Goddess they had taken over it." Scarlet replies calmly as she watches Elliot fall on his knees in disbelief.
He is a well known Saint of Illuminus, the Sun God and possessed a great amount of holy power it must be a great shock for him that the woman who bedded him was no other than a demon.

Scarlet sighed.
What a huge decrease.
Okay, she exaggerated her lies a bit but she needs to make those love rates stop descending or else it will not be a good ending for her.
While at it, she also checked the love rates of the three remaining men who are silent.

Ragna had a look on his face that he didn't believe any of her stories and his love rate is still the same maybe his hatred for [Scarlet] is so deep that he does not care whether she is a demon or what not.

Wynter had the same look and love rate status as Ragna; Well, she really doesn't care if they believe it or not as long as the system says that her identity does not reveal she will continue her little fiction in order to stay alive.
Lastly, Scarlet now turns her attention to Siegfried who is silent the whole time she revealed the 'truth' and has been observing her.

To her surprise, the love rate rose at one point.
Scarlet now felt confused, curious as well as cautious towards this mysterious man.
With him having the highest love rate despite being imprisoned and seen [Scarlet] cruelty, she feels there's something wrong with this person.
'Something is wrong with this person's brain.' She thought.
Once again she looked at the quest interface to check out the time.

Another ten minutes had passed.
She sighed; time is getting shorter so she needs to start her plan.
"I know this must be a shock to all but in fact everyone knew that [I] died earlier."
The five men subconsciously nodded. They knew this fact because they also died.
"When the demon that possessed my body died -- Well let me correct that, I am not even sure if that demon really died or left on their own decision but on that moment with the help of the Goddess Gaia who manage to gather a small part of my soul use that opportunity to return it to my body. And I don't care if you believe me or not, what I want now is your cooperation in order to save this kingdom as well as your children." Scarlet explained as the men absorb the information.
"I know you hated the former [me]; I as well loathed [her] not only robbing my body and my life but also all the cruelty [she] had done towards other people, to you and to the children but this is not the time to dwell on this hatred. The former [Scarlet] had sent a lot of knights on the border leaving not enough man power to fight this rebellion and the fall of this kingdom is what the demon wants and I need your cooperation to stop it and save this kingdom, the citizens, your loved ones, our children." Scarlet explained wholeheartedly.
Scarlet mentally praised her acting.
'Those acting gigs always come in handy.' She thought.
In her past life as an orphan, in order to bring food on the table and pay her bills she had done a lot of part time jobs and some of them are acting on minor roles on some drama that hone her acting skills.
"If you don't believe me, I have brought the [Oath of Nyx] with me and let's make a contract with each other."
She grabs the scroll the Gilda left earlier in the table and shows it to them.
The [Oath of Nyx] is an A- class item from the Temple of the Moon, the religion that worships the Goddess of Night, Nyx given to the royal family exclusively.
It's mostly used for contracts for the reason those who failed to comply with what's written on the agreement shall face the consequences and will be punished by the Goddess Nyx, herself.
"What kind of agreement do you want?" Siegfried voiced out.
"First, I will grant all of my consort freedom as long as you will help me in stopping this rebellion. When I say freedom that means you are free to go wherever you want and do whatever you want."
"If I am allowed to do what I want, can I interact with my child?" Elliot meekly asked, a sense of longing was painted on his face.
Scarlet sadly smiled.
Despite being the father, these five men have not once done [Scarlet] let them see or touch their children.
Suddenly a memory flashed on her mind.
