Chapter 211: Chapter 211
The Hokages still have three days to explore this world. Although it may seem limited in terms of supernatural items, this world is highly advanced in technology. Even if the findings are merely collections of technological information or gadgets, they can still help develop their worlds and enhance their technological levels. That alone makes this expedition valuable.
With that in mind, everyone sprang into action. Meanwhile, Ryan stood quietly, deep in thought, not rushing to join them. The system had only given them three days to gather resources, but Ryan had a hunch. He suspected that this time, the rewards wouldn't solely depend on what they found through searching. Instead, the rewards might be based on other criteria—perhaps their accomplishments, contributions, or something less obvious.
With this in mind, Ryan felt no need to rush into a frantic search. If the rewards were determined by their achievements or contributions, he was confident his rank would remain high. There was no reason to fear falling behind the others. Additionally, when it came to searching for technology-related items, he was far more experienced than the rest—many of whom were still rooted in the more traditional ways of the Hokage world.
Ryan wasn't entirely sure about the specifics of everything. However, coming from a high-tech event, he could make more informed judgments. The level of technological advancement in his world wasn't too far behind that of the One Punch Man world, so he could easily discern which technologies were more advanced and which could help his world develop faster especially technology related to telecommunication and architecture.
After considering this, Ryan called Saitama over. Plus, Saitama had completely come to trust him.
"Do you know who invented Genos' technology?" Ryan asked.
Obviously, in this world, the technological advancements related to cybernetic enhancements were among the most advanced, with Genos being a prime example. Genos had easily climbed to the ranks of S-Class heroes as a cyborg, and his strength was impressive. Whoever had created such cutting-edge technology was someone of great with above genius-level intellect—someone worth finding.
Saitama scratched his bald head, thinking it over.
"Uh, yeah, the guy who upgrades Genos? That's Dr. Kuseno," Saitama said casually. "I can, uh, get you in touch with him or whatever."
He lazily pulled out his phone, tapped a few buttons, then glanced at the screen. "Oh, cool. Got the address."
With that, Ryan and Saitama took Genos and set off to meet the mysterious scientist.
Genos had been severely beaten in the recent battle and was completely unable to move on his own. Since they were heading back anyway, it was the perfect opportunity to help him recover.
When they arrived at a massive laboratory, Ryan finally saw the scientist behind Genos. Without wasting any time, Ryan used his Rinnegan to summon a spirit ball and infused it directly into the scientist's body. In an instant, the man was under Ryan's control, fully obedient to his commands.
With that, Ryan had now gained control over Genos, the scientist, and even Saitama—all of them had become his puppets.
Now that they were all under his influence, the next step was clear. Ryan ordered the scientist to gather the most comprehensive data available, along with prototypes and any advanced weapons and equipment they had been researching. Everything was packed up and sealed into a flash drive for safekeeping.
With the technology secured, Ryan moved on to explore other locations where skilled technologists were at work. The most prominent figure that came to mind was Metal Knight, one of the S-Class heroes, and a true representative of technological prowess.
Though Metal Knight was considered a hero, he rarely ever showed his true self to anyone, preferring to let his machines and technology do the work.
Metal Knight had always operated remotely, using metal armor to stay active outside. Even if his robot was destroyed, it didn't matter—he remained unharmed, safely controlling it from behind the scenes. His technology was something worth collecting.
Ryan ordered Genos and Dr. Kuseno to help him gather all the information about Metal Knight's hideout. This way, the process would be much quicker. Even if Metal Knight had any objections, Saitama's overwhelming power would be more than enough to make him surrender whatever was needed.
Thanks to this, Ryan's collection efforts went smoothly. Meanwhile, the Hokages were busy as well. Some scoured the streets, while others visited research institutes, seeking out the technology that caught their interest the most.
Time passed quickly, and in just three days, the Hokages had finished their collections. While this world lacked powerful items like Devil Fruits or Zanpakutōs, everyone was still pleased with their haul.
They all understood that the development of technology was crucial to the progress of any world, and this time, their rewards were entirely focused on advancing technology. While it might not guarantee a high rank in terms of rewards, it would undoubtedly contribute greatly to their own world's growth.
This was what the Hokages valued most.
After three days of collecting, everyone returned with their findings. Once they were gathered, they all shared their experiences.
The voice of the chat group echoed in everyone's mind:
[Ding! The three days are up! You can now return to the chat group!]
[The One Punch Man world mission has been Completed. After everyone returns to the chat group, this world will be frozen!]
[It will only be unfrozen upon your next visit!]
This familiar announcement was something everyone understood well by now. Just like in the previous worlds—One Piece and Shinigami—the One Punch Man world would freeze the moment they left. When they returned in the future, they could continue where they left off and harvest more.
Everyone was quite pleased with this feature. However, the most important task now was to return to the chat group as soon as possible.
Everyone was gearing up, filled with anticipation. This time, the situation felt different—clearly, the rewards wouldn't just be based on what they had collected. This gave the Hokages hope. Perhaps, this time, they could claim the top spot.
That thought alone was enough to excite them.
Ryan, not wanting to waste any more time, gave the command to the chat group.
"Return!"
As soon as his words fell, a familiar colorful light surrounded them, instantly transporting everyone, including the Hokages, away from the One Punch Man world.
The moment they left, an incomprehensible and mysterious force froze the entire world in an instant. Everything fell into a state of complete suspension.
As the moment unfolded, the atmosphere thickened, crackling with an energy that rippled through the fabric of reality. High above the frozen world, a swirling vortex of shadows and light coalesced, and within it, a presence stirred. The God of One Punch Man, an entity of unfathomable power, watched with a mix of curiosity and amusement.
So, they've chosen to leave, it mused, its voice echoing like a whisper through the void. How quaint.
The world below lay still, suspended in time—heroes and villains alike trapped in their last moments, unaware of the divine gaze upon them. The God observed the scene with a keen interest, its thoughts swirling like the cosmos itself.
Such potential yet so easily halted, it reflected, a hint of a smile curling upon its ethereal form.
Meanwhile, in the meeting space, a shimmering portal appeared, and through it stepped Ryan and the 11 Hokages from different worlds. All the twelve Hokages had returned safely, and everyone was buzzing with excitement.
