Alpha’s Mark (Three lives Of A Witch)

Chapter 2: Chapter 2

"Even the greatest witches in history are no match for a baby in the womb" Lucy greeted with a taunt to their clutched bodies that leaped for the stand.

Then behold her cruel gaze fell on the mother, whose eyes coward on her belly with the lullaby of the moon goddess.

Sweet and flat it went to their ears.

"Quiet woman"

She yelled the might of her tone at her. In shape, her ears took that of the thick night cat, heavy and thin, beard of tall strings emerged out the edge of her flat long nose that gave much essence to her plump face. In a short groan, she smugged her lips in watched of the claws in growth on the skin of her fingers, fangs clipped to the lips.

Out at the mother, she hungrily watched her feared body cuddled.

As a legendary lycan, known for her family root ability of invisibility, with a plus power of control of time shift. Strange as their reign of time was, a lycan in history was known for many but limited to invisibility and time control but again her kind was rare, as her blood was known to be shared with a witch but that too was kept in the dark for fear upon the council awareness.

Let's say her father was a man of many concubines.

In wind she dusted her flight to the mother, hard she slammed a fist against the bubble but was to no avail. In tight grunt she vanished her body from sight of others as she charged against the bubble, force and might she stroked her claws and fangs on it yet failed in bridging within.

With a loud howl from her beast, falling leaves froze in the air, and bodies of others stood in statute with the exception of one that stood in watch of her familiar power. Rushed her body went again at the bubble only to have her body crashing against the merciless Stony ground that bled her skin out.

'How could that be possible?' her ego flushed out from all the eyes that stared at her in high hopes of holding on to her reputation of undefeated. In one hold of a second charge, her body felt light on its weight as it went in a crash with the trees.

"Rr" a detest groan moaned out her bleeding lips.

"And a Lycan was no match for a mere fetus in the womb" Lady Mas snuggled out a satisfied chuckle at the scene.

"Enough!"

A powerful tone came out, freezing all toes and eyes to his presence that stood behind to earlier scenes.

King Steffen, the last of his kind. The first ever created primordial in the world, the tyrant king, his powers were beyond explained, fear by all. Many went in tales of how his kids were devoured by the rage of his lost love, while another went by how his inner beast was led in the brutal kill of his kins, yet it unknown what really happened that night of thunders and storms, for all, you're to be told the secret of his gone clans laid in the depth of his locked heart kept in the box of no open.

"Get this done with soon, I have somewhere to be" he tastelessly scolded the words to their timid ears.

With those words, she chased her legs from their reach before the bubble could be bridged. Her feet sore beneath from the chase through the rocky ground couldn't stop the fear in her heart. She knew of the consequences that if being caught.

King Steffen's anger was one none wished to seek upon themselves. Just as she was in thoughts of an escape from them, she was surrounded by them, each at every root to an opening. Her heart seized a beat as she stood quiet to the prosecution awaited her.

All forces at hand, with the two witches suppressing their magic powers at the bubble with the legendary sword forced in it, King Steffen used his immortal powers to break his way through the bubble, and the shield finally conquered to defeat.

The mother fell weak to her knees.

King Steffen bites in, on her stomach intending to poison the baby with its fangs that hold many poisons.

The mother fought on her last breath, giving in to her fate that was written awful.

On that fateful night, the curse and risk of thousands being dragged to the gate of hell were laid to rest by slaying the mother dead. By then, the prophecy was defeated and so was the master of hell who raged his discontent with the eruption of lava through the grounds of towns.

Seven days and night the lands bled boiling fire, which ashed many trees and houses and took many lives. Seven days the devil's rage was conquered by the moon goddess who concealed the lands with ice after an offering and prayers were made to her.

In the coming years, the world took shapes and turns of many and so did the people. Changes happened and the growth of new things came into existence, a new globalized world of many creative inventions such as technologies and the world known internet.

As time grew, the council made rules to protect themselves and their people, before their existence was known to all but now, for their safety they must keep it a secret. Only a few humans knew of magic or the existence of supernatural beings in the world. Adjustments were made, and they had to learn to blend in with the new civilized world.

Ice Land

" Hurry, hurry. If we are caught we are dead" A worried voice comes through in the ears of the girl hanging on one arm with legs suspended carefully through the electric laser that could go off any second she touches it. Both were nineteen or more, but most, the worried girl present to be more advanced in age than the acrobatic one, whose fingers were pushing their limits against the tiny hole she had created earlier with the glass opener. Wanting to get the clear ice stone that lays on the tiny blue pillow with ice on its exterior decor.

"Hurry Ella" She continues, causing her friend a slip of finger on the stone. A sigh is heard from Ella as she makes a third attempt to grab the stone.

Certain she did not expect the task to be this hard. When the mail dropped in their home box two days ago with a mission set to steal an ice stone, which their children believe is rare. She definitely thought it to be some crappy mission or perhaps a delusional person that spends half his or her scraping from reality but here they are Miles away from the city and people, deep in the snow-cold ice Lands, which is first to her ears and eyes from the hand sketched map.

As much beauty as the strange place presented, its cold kept all from her body that's in desperate need of one in the leather full jumpsuit that gripped the breath out of her, less said it plaited a moment of cool warm to her with all it spears rooms for gadgets. It feels like one of those heroine in spy movies with cool missions but the only difference is that she is on a steal mission and she's certain she isn't any heroine, and her life isn't some movie to whine at will.

In the whole town, few houses take accommodations, the rest of its areas are colonized by snow mountains and rear trees with blue leaves.

Why pay for someone to steal a stone?

Well, it's not her tea to question a potential client with a big cheque to offer or the organization in particular.

Being dropped ten feet above ground off a helicopter to hijack their way to the depth of the castle that's well guarded and secured with traps and beams.

The guards weren't hard to pass by, as most were half in dreamland and the other two in patrol every ten seconds were too dull to care. With the traps at every step, the ice arrows were easily sensed by Ella, she couldn't tell how but she was able to drift her body through each attack too carrying the weight of her friend Mia.

The second and third were also averted, which takes back to the scene of her body weight being pinned on a hand while the other tries to grab the stone without breaking an alarm.

"Ell.." again she calls, crossing her fingers between with legs and circling the small space. Her mind was unsettled by the thought of being caught by the jewel owner.

Earlier, with the mission came a warning note of the mission they were embarking on, as written they were to bring the stone safe without any fault to it and without raising an alarm to them, and if ever caught they were going to be killed by the owner.

"Just hold it for a second " Ella snorts out a sigh.

" I've almost grabbed it" Her fingers push its limits to the blue stone, which erupts a light with her touch on it.

"And.. got it" She exclaims relieving her arm off the weight and back on her toes with a flip.

"Finally, let go" Mia whined out the burden in her chest, only to be placed in a much tighter spot by the watch that went loose on her wrist. Finding its way through the lessers that trick the sound system to drum out.

"We're dead" she cries.

In haste of time, Ella hand grabs Mia's wrist and pulls her through the long channel of stairs, to the secret door located behind the fire set. Taking back the routes of the tunnels as did earlier, they flee their way up to the open sky and fresh natural air.

"That was life threatening" Mia grasped a second of air before letting it out, a hand on her chest as she squatted her way up. The stress and mind ticking to their merciless death with the alarm being tricked was a scare. Gracefully, she has a friend whose foot speed is as fast as her brain.

"The helicopter should be here anytime soon," Ella said scanning her eyes on the smartwatch on her wrist.

Good, Mia's little brain sparks in. It's time it show up, the sooner the better for both their lives are at chase by the guards.
