American Comics: The Girl Next Door is Spider-Gwen

Chapter 5: I Am Spider-Man! Special Rewards!

Alright, let's see where you are.

Ye Li floated up from the rooftop. With the battle suit's built-in detection system and his spider-sense, he quickly located the Vulture robbing a bank.

If he and Gwen hadn't been extraordinary individuals, the fight between this guy and Kingpin would have already killed them.

So, he intended to settle the score with both the Vulture and Kingpin!

With the sound of wind slicing, he quickly arrived in front of the bank being robbed by the Vulture.

However, someone had arrived before him.

It was Ghost Spider.

Gwen?

Ye Li saw her already engaged in a fight with the Vulture.

Having only recently become a superhero, Gwen was still inexperienced. She fought hesitantly, her webs constantly being cut by the Vulture's sharp metal wings, and she had to divert attention to rescue civilians.

Distracted and overwhelmed, she was on the verge of getting hurt.

"Nosy spider!"

The Vulture's metal claws viciously swiped at Gwen, coming within mere centimeters of her arm.

In a flash, a black figure dropped down. The Vulture's suit emitted grinding noises and sparks flew.

The Vulture was slammed to the ground by Ye Li's aerial kick.

The combination of the Knight and Spider enhancements wasn't just 1+1—it was a geometric multiplier.

On top of Jessica's "Lady Knight" template, the "Ghost Spider" template amplified his power exponentially!

If Ye Li hadn't held back, the Vulture would have been crushed to death on the spot.

"Who is that?"

The fleeing onlookers were stunned. They recognized Ghost Spider, who had recently gained fame, but who was this blacked-out version of Spider-Man? Her partner, maybe?

Clearly, he wasn't.

Gwen was equally shocked to see the Vulture suddenly slammed to the ground by someone.

"E-excuse me?"

"Who are you?"

She mustered her courage, stepped closer, and asked, "Thank you for helping me. Are you also a superhero?"

In her mind, she had another question: Why do you look like you're part of my costume series?

Ye Li activated the suit's voice modulator and said in a deep voice, "You can call me Spider-Man."

That's right—he shamelessly registered the name for himself.

"Spi…"

Gwen was speechless. Could this guy be any more shameless? Copying her suit was bad enough, but now he was stealing her title?

If he hadn't just saved her, she'd have called him out on it.

"You bastard!"

At this moment, the Vulture didn't forget to draw attention to himself at Ye Li's feet.

Ye Li said nothing, pretending to be an expert, but applied force with his foot, making the Vulture understand what it meant to assess the situation.

"Ah—!"

"I was wrong! Spare me!"

The Vulture felt the broken rib in his chest sink deeper and hurriedly abandoned his arrogant demeanor, begging for mercy in a pitiful voice.

"I'm taking him with me."

Ye Li greeted the Ghost Spider, hooked the Vulture with his foot, lifted him up, and grabbed hold of him.

"Wait! Where are you taking him?"

The Ghost Spider quickly said, "You should hand him over to the police!"

"I'm not a vigilante."

Leaving those words behind,

Ye Li soared into the sky with the Vulture, his coat billowing fiercely, disappearing into the night.

"Hey!"

Under the mask, Gwen sighed helplessly; it was too late for her to catch up.

....

On an empty rooftop.

Bang.

Ye Li threw the injured Vulture to the ground and crossed his arms as he asked, "Do you know where Kingpin is?"

"Kingpin?"

Toomes' mind raced. So this guy was actually looking for Kingpin?

He couldn't help but curse silently. Damn Kingpin, he had caused him so much trouble!

Adding up their previous scores, he vowed to kill him one day!

"Answer my question."

A cold voice came again.

"What are you looking for Kingpin for?"

The Vulture's gaze flickered. If Ye Li was seeking Kingpin with malicious intent, he wouldn't hesitate to spill everything he knew.

"To teach him a lesson, so he knows not to litter on the streets."

Ye Li said flatly.

What a weirdo... Even the Vulture wanted to complain. Kingpin was the underground king, and you wanted to teach him a lesson for littering? Did you open the World Environmental Organization or something?

The Vulture didn't realize that the "litter" Ye Li was referring to was actually him.

He thought for a moment and said, "If I tell you, will you let me go?"

"My patience is limited."

Ye Li cracked his neck and was about to make a move.

"Alright, I'll tell you... You're really ruthless."

The Vulture figured out that this dark figure was nothing like Spider-Woman. He was much more ruthless and merciless.

"Kingpin and I have a grudge too. I can go with you to find him."

He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. "But maybe we should wait until I'm a bit more recovered."

"So you're saying you don't know where Kingpin is either?"

Under Ye Li's battle suit mask, a cold gleam seemed to shine. "If that's the case, you're useless to me."

"No, I know!"

The Vulture quickly said, "If you're going now, I can give you a few locations... He might be active in these areas, but you'd better hurry. I caught him in one place today, so his activity range might change."

...

Ye Li silently memorized the locations, glanced at the Vulture, and prepared to turn and leave.

At that moment, a message suddenly appeared in his mind.
