American Comics: The Strongest Villain

Chapter 32: Chapter 32: The Bold Girl

The sun was blazing hot as Su Sheng stepped out of the hotel, his gaze drifting toward Laurel. The sunlight illuminated her figure, highlighting her long brown hair, delicate features, and the slightly flushed expression on her face, giving her an alluring charm.

"Should we go back inside?" Su Sheng asked suddenly.

"Go back? We just came out, and the room's already checked out," Laurel responded, surprised.

When she turned to look at him, she found him staring at her with dark eyes filled with interest and a possessive intensity. This look was different from the one he had while supervising her exercises earlier. His direct gaze made her instinctively avert her eyes, and though she was fully clothed, she felt more exposed than when he had watched her exercise naked.

Laurel was at a loss. If Su Sheng had forced her when they first entered the room or right after her exercises, she might have felt resentful but would have complied. But now, with his unexpected question, she didn't know how to react.

"Forget it, let's keep things fresh," Su Sheng said casually, sensing her discomfort. "I won't supervise your afternoon training. You can handle that yourself."

Laurel nodded automatically as Su Sheng waved her off, and they went their separate ways.

Not long after, she saw her mother, Dinah Lance, hurrying toward her with a worried and angry expression. "Are you alright? He didn't do anything to you, did he?"

Laurel shook her head.

"Really?" Dinah asked skeptically.

She had her suspicions. After all, taking her daughter to a hotel early in the morning and then seeing her return with a flushed face and unsteady legs was enough to raise any mother's concerns.

Laurel explained what had happened, and Dinah frowned. Who was this man, really? He hadn't hurt her daughter, only supervised her exercise? Dinah decided to wait and see how things unfolded. She had already reported the incident from the previous night, as the death of several agents was no small matter.

After parting ways with Laurel, Su Sheng wandered aimlessly through the streets. He contemplated what a hero needed—uniforms and equipment were essential. Training Laurel to become Black Canary ahead of schedule had been on his mind for a while. He planned to get her a uniform from Wayne Enterprises. With Talia al Ghul's identity still under wraps and being the largest shareholder of Wayne Enterprises, acquiring a uniform should be easy. Regular equipment could also be sourced there. As for her iconic sonic device, Su Sheng planned to visit Central City to find Cisco Ramon. Though he didn't know Cisco personally and didn't have any money, he wasn't too worried about those details.

Before he realized it, Su Sheng found himself in a park. Despite the scorching sun, the park was filled with people enjoying lunch or going on dates.

He found a large tree providing ample shade and sat down on the grass, watching the world go by. He considered contacting Felicity later to help him get in touch with Talia al Ghul. As the sun's rays filtered through the tree branches, a woman with long wine-red hair and a long black dress suddenly appeared, sprinting out from behind the tree. She glanced back anxiously, as if someone was chasing her.

When she turned back around, she spotted Su Sheng sitting against the tree. Her eyes lit up instantly. Without hesitation, she walked quickly to Su Sheng, sat down directly on his lap, and pulled his hands around her. At the same time, she hooked her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately.

She was bold, enthusiastic, and determined, kissing him as if they were lovers about to take things to the next level right there on the grass. Her movements were awkward, but she was determined, clutching Su Sheng tightly as if she wanted to merge with him.

Su Sheng, surprised by her boldness, quickly took control. He gently pushed her off him and onto the ground, then rolled over to pin her down. With his hands braced on either side of her head, he kissed her back, taking charge of the situation.

The woman felt a mix of anger and panic at first, but she soon realized that this new position actually offered her more cover. After a brief moment of surprise, she relaxed and responded to his kiss, her pretense of passion slowly turning into genuine desire.

Suddenly, the sound of running footsteps came from nearby. Two men dressed in black suits and sunglasses ran by, glancing at the couple on the ground. They quickly averted their gaze, clearly uncomfortable with the intimate scene. Even in a place as open as a public park, such displays could still cause a bit of embarrassment.

"Let's split up and search," one of the men in black said quietly after scanning the area. With that, they continued their search separately, missing their target by a narrow margin.
