Chapter 36: Chapter 36: Cisco, You Really Are a Genius!
After listening to Cisco Ramon's detailed explanation, Su Sheng patted him on the shoulder with satisfaction. "You really are a genius. I knew I found the right person for this. Thank you."
"It's no big deal. I only wish I had more time; I could've made it even better," Cisco replied, a mix of pride and regret in his voice. Despite the praise, he couldn't help but think of all the additional features he could have added if only he'd had more time.
"Oh, by the way, where did you hide the tracker?" Su Sheng asked casually, as if the thought had just occurred to him.
"On the metal band," Cisco answered without thinking. But as soon as the words left his mouth, he realized his mistake. His face fell, and he looked at Su Sheng with a mix of regret and apprehension. "Uh, can we just pretend I didn't say that?"
"I'm afraid not," Su Sheng replied with a grin, shaking his head as he removed the black metal band and handed it back to Cisco.
Cisco took it with a resigned sigh, covering his face with his hand. "Well, there goes that plan."
"Goodbye, everyone." Su Sheng waved nonchalantly and started walking away.
Cisco watched him leave, bewildered. "That's it? Shouldn't we call the police or something?"
"By the time they arrive, he'll be long gone. And then what? We'll have no idea where to even start looking," Harrison Wells replied, shaking his head. "As long as Caitlin is safe, that's what matters most. Let's head back to the lab."
Once back at the lab, Harrison Wells questioned Caitlin Snow about her encounter with Su Sheng. After confirming that she wasn't hurt, he offered a few words of reassurance and left her to recover from the experience.
Meanwhile, Su Sheng was standing outside a hotel where he had arranged to meet someone. After waiting a few minutes, he heard the roar of an engine approaching. Helena Bertinelli pulled up, parked the car, and walked over to him. "You're actually here, waiting for me."
"Why wouldn't I be?" Su Sheng replied with a bright smile.
"Let's go," Helena said, taking his arm as they entered the hotel.
After paying for the room and getting the key, the moment they entered the elevator, Helena pulled Su Sheng into a heated kiss.
The intensity between them only grew as they stumbled out of the elevator and made their way to the room. Once inside, Su Sheng closed the door, watching Helena as she leaned against the wall, slightly out of breath.
"Are you sure about this? If my father finds out, you'll be dead," Helena warned, her voice a mix of desire and caution.
"Take it off," Su Sheng replied simply.
Helena smiled seductively and reached behind her, unzipping her dress. The fabric slipped off her body, and she immediately moved to embrace Su Sheng again.
There were no creaking bed sounds—it was a high-end hotel, after all—but even if there had been, it wouldn't have drowned out Helena's voice. She was wild, her screams loud enough to let the world know what was happening. There was a twisted pleasure in the way she let herself go, a mix of passion and pain that seemed to fulfill some deep, distorted need within her.
After a long time, Helena, now resting, smiled softly. "That was incredible. I almost don't want anything to happen to you. Please don't let my father kill you."
"Whatever you care about will torment you. Expectation is the root of all suffering. I'm happy to help you find relief from that pain," Su Sheng said, his smile as bright as ever.
Helena's smile faltered slightly, as if something had crossed her mind. After a moment, she shook her head. "But first, you need to stay alive."
With that, she got up and limped to the bathroom.
Helena had thought that two hours would be more than enough time. However, by the time she and Su Sheng left the hotel and headed back to Starling City, it was already dark. Helena parked the car and turned to Su Sheng. "Give me your phone number."
"I'll contact you when I want to," Su Sheng replied, shaking his head.
"Why?" Helena asked, clearly frustrated.
Su Sheng just smiled, waved, and stepped out of the car.
"I will find you!" Helena called after him, but he had already disappeared into the night.
Frustrated, Helena started the car and drove home. When she arrived, she found her father, Frank Bertinelli, sitting in the living room with a stern expression on his face. Ignoring him, she walked toward the stairs.
"Stop!" Frank's voice cut through the air. "Aren't you going to tell me where you've been?"
"Wherever it was, I didn't kill anyone or set anything on fire," Helena replied coldly.
"You…" Frank stormed over to her and slapped her across the face.
The sound echoed sharply through the room.
"You need to remember that you are my daughter. No matter what I do, you are my daughter. That fact will never change, and you'd better accept that sooner rather than later," Frank said, his voice cold as ice.
Helena covered her stinging cheek and glared at her father as he turned and walked upstairs.
"Find out where she went and who she was with. I want every detail," Frank ordered the butler.
"Yes, sir," the butler responded promptly.
Frank wanted to know everything about his daughter's activities. Similarly, back in Central City, Felicity was trying to figure out where Su Sheng had been. When she got home after work and found Su Sheng missing, she started to worry. And when he finally returned, Felicity could smell a perfume on him that wasn't hers.
"Who is she?" Felicity asked, adjusting her glasses as she stared at Su Sheng, her tone serious and demanding.
