American success master

Chapter 20: Selling pressure of 20

With the second week's dividend distribution ending successfully and the third week's imminent, the number of participants kept growing.

Under the promotion of successful individual James, White people had become the main force, holding the majority of the shares.

After all, in their eyes, others were not deserving of wealth; the world's riches should be distributed by White people.

Zhu Wencong was only too happy for them to become inflated with their sense of importance, for it was only they who were capable of becoming the bagholders at such inflated prices, as his own people were generally poor.

The increasingly high prices made Westerners see light, Easterners saw fear; this was the cultural difference between the East and the West.

In plain terms, Easterners believe in earning wealth through hard work, not in overnight fortunes or unearned gains.

The ancestors of England were Vikings, and they take pride in their Viking blood, fundamentally believing in sudden riches and unearned wealth.

America, their beloved son, inherited and propagated this tradition; they fabricated the American Dream, attracting investors' money to propel industrial development, while conveniently making a killing for themselves.

Although many so-called railway, steel, and oil magnates were born in America, weren't these industrialists ultimately in the tight grip of Wall Street's capitalists?

"I feel it's best not to crash the market for the time being. Previously, you Chinese were the leading group, so the stock's upper limit was very low.

Now that we White people have taken over from you, we've broken the ceiling of silver mine stocks, injecting more capital.

The prices that we didn't dare to imagine before are now conceivable, how does the saying go—'the show is just getting started'!

I'm growing fonder of your saying: 'Be greedy when others are fearful, and fearful when others are greedy,'" James said, full of pleasure.

Zhu Wencong discovered that these White people were truly greedy; they had no fear of losing everything, utterly frenzied!

The financial strength and capabilities of Chinese simply couldn't compare with White people, especially in stock market operations, where the Chinese had always been retreating.

James didn't think it was time to retreat; right now was the time to sprint upwards!

The more others feared, the greedier James became, as the continually rising stock prices brought very considerable profits.

"The earliest shares were $100 each, now they've risen to $752. Are you certain this stock can rise to $10 a share?

White people indeed have a lot of money, but do they dare to bet everything like you? Impossible, right?

Ha ha ha, you are scared! I thought you understood the stock market best; it turns out you are so timid.

I'll just say one thing, if you have confidence in the market, the market won't disappoint you; if you don't have confidence in the market, then it's best to stay away," Zhu Wencong said outright.

James fell into silence, as the 43-year-old man had never faced such a difficult decision in his life.

It's only when you play big that you realize how strong you are; it's rare in life to have an opportunity for an all-out gamble.

Su Yanqiao brought James a cup of coffee; he needed to calm down properly and decide whether to continue gambling or to withdraw promptly.

Zhu Wencong knew James wouldn't give up, because everyone believes they aren't the bagholder, everyone harbors the hope of being lucky.

"Ha ha ha! All those White people are the bagholders I lured in; how could I possibly be afraid!

I plan to exit at the price of $10 per share; the rest can be left for those people to pick up the tab!" James revealed his internal pricing.

"Then you'd need to keep giving them pep talks every day, encouraging them, making them brim with confidence.

I've recently written a book called 'The American Dream,' it contains many powerful sentences.

For instance, this one: Forget yesterday's poverty, seize today's opportunities, create tomorrow's wealth.

In this world, there is nothing that can defeat you, only you can; there is nothing that can change you, only you can; fate is in your own hands!" Zhu Wencong recited the classic lines from a certain organization.

James was nearly on his knees to Zhu Wencong, each essay he penned was like brocade, every word a jewel, as if it were proverbs from the Bible.

Zhu Wencong declared that as long as one recited the entire book daily, no one would drop out of the market.

Clutching "The American Dream" in both hands, James hadn't expected it was just a manuscript, not yet made into a book.

"How much is this book?" James wanted to buy it for his collection, as it contained so many truths about success.

"1 British Pound! I've already contacted the newspapers, it is now being spread on a small scale, laying the groundwork for later sales," Zhu Wencong raised one finger.

"You must let me know when it's published!" James left first, he had to go teach the bagholders a lesson.

Watching James walk away looking pleased with himself again, Zhu Wencong thought how people at this time were still so naive and hadn't been affected by the information overload of the 21st century.

Literature on success like this was a dime a dozen in later eras, but here it was a best-selling genre.

Countless people wanted to know the secret to success, countless people sought shortcuts, countless people dreamed of getting rich overnight.

"Are you sure your book will sell?" Su Yanqiao was very skeptical.

"Why wouldn't it sell? Cater to their interests! They adore these themes the most, everyone is dreaming unrealistic dreams.

To put it bluntly, we have farmed for thousands of years, creating a beautiful life with our own hardworking hands.

What about them? They haven't even made it a hundred years since their nation's founding, and what have they been doing since then?

The Northern Faction turns people into laborers, the Southern Faction turns people into serfs. What do slaves desire the most?

Freedom? Bullshit! What they most desire is to become farm owners, factory owners!

That's why the North-South war broke out, a contest for slaves kicked off," Zhu Wencong sighed.

Su Yanqiao still didn't understand, firmly believing that the war was fought for freedom, for a better future.

"Just like the current bagholders, all they see is profit, nothing else.

Defeat the Southern Faction, and you can turn serfs into laborers, farms into factories, rapidly building up railways and bridges!

Tell me, don't they yearn for success, hunger for the secrets to success?" Zhu Wencong added.

Su Yanqiao had an epiphany, realizing that one shouldn't think too complexly of Americans, as they were actually quite simple creatures.

In the face of huge profits, they completely ignored all risks, joining Zhu Wencong's leek-spinning gamble.

Do you think they are stupid? They're not foolish, they just believe they won't be the last one holding the bag.

"So at what price do we cash out?" Su Yanqiao knew Zhu Wencong would definitely dump his shares early.

"Eight dollars! You handle this personally, the people below will follow your instructions.

I need to go brainwash those white people, without their capital entering the market, how can we reap more money?" Zhu Wencong was worried James's Kung Fu wasn't strong enough to con people.

A mass sell-off was definitely hard to conceal, so cleansing minds became particularly important.

The best solution, quietly inform someone that James is deceiving others into selling while he secretly buys in.

So everyone does the same, acquiring more shares and thereby reaping greater profits.

"After this, do you want to finish and go back home with us?" Su Yanqiao held Zhu Wencong's hand, a worried expression on her face.

"What's there to fear! Let James bear the brunt, with the bank chasing behind, what does any of this have to do with us!" Zhu Wencong shrugged.
