An All-Rounder Girl Spoiled by the Big Boss

Chapter 55: The Exam, Part 4

The proctor, feeling thoroughly humbled by Qin Sheng's prowess, took a long time to recover. With his hands clasped behind his back, he circled the classroom, noticing all the students drenched in sweat, desperately trying to solve the problems. The proctor finally regained some confidence—this was the usual scene he was accustomed to.

It wasn't until the bell signaled the end of the exam that Lu Ming put down his test paper; he had been stuck halfway through the last problem. Qin Churou, despite her proficiency in Chinese and mathematics, struggled with the comprehensive science exam—she had left questions worth forty points unanswered.

As the students exited the exam room, a heavy sense of dejection hung in the air; they had clearly been beaten down by the test. Qin Churou, in particular, felt a slick of sweat in her palms.

She had prepared meticulously for this exam, fully confident of securing third place. But now, she realized that even that seemed like a distant dream. She could manage the simpler questions, but the difficult ones had left her far behind her peers. In this test's multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank sections, she had guessed at several answers and hadn't even attempted questions worth forty points.

Qin Churou couldn't compose herself, and her poor mindset affected her performance in the remaining exams.

In the following three subjects, Qin Sheng consistently finished and submitted her papers exactly on time. During the comprehensive science exam, she at least tried to restrain herself, but in the later exams, Qin Sheng completed them in about an hour and spent the remaining time sleeping.

Liang Hua specifically visited Qin Sheng's exam room. Seeing her asleep on her desk, she sneered with disdain.

Clearly, Qin Sheng was a lost cause, unable to be molded into anything worthwhile.

A poor student, after all, remains a poor student. Lin Ke must be regretting her decision now. With a student like Qin Sheng, the average scores would undoubtedly plummet, possibly hitting an all-time low. Let's see if Lin Ke dares to act high and mighty now. She claimed Lin Ke wasn't worthy of being called a teacher, yet was she?

The students she taught were all aiming for prestigious universities like Imperial University and Beijing University, whereas most of Lin Ke's students couldn't even pass the entrance exams for second-tier schools.

The final subject was English. Qin Sheng, as always, turned in her paper with half an hour left in the exam. Lu Ming, having spent some time abroad during his childhood, was particularly strong in English.

Shortly after Qin Sheng submitted her test, Lu Ming quickly followed suit.

Qin Churou noticed Lu Ming catching up to Qin Sheng, trying to strike up a conversation. Lu Ming spoke, but Qin Sheng didn't respond. He didn't mind, continuing to chatter away beside her.

Qin Churou bit her lip, gripping her pen so tightly that it tore through her test paper.

Qin Sheng!

For more than two years in the same class, Lu Ming had never once initiated a conversation with her. So why was he trailing after Qin Sheng now, acting so sycophantically?

The two days of exams passed swiftly. Qin Sheng also began to dedicate her evenings to drafting a plan to sever ties with the Qin family and cut off all relations with Qin Hai and Lin Shuyas.

"Sheng Sheng."

It was Saturday, and Qin Sheng received a call from Hong Yuan early in the morning.

She had stayed up late drafting her plan the night before, and when Hong Yuan called, she was still in bed, her voice a little groggy. "Is something wrong?"

"Sheng Sheng, I'm sorry," Hong Yuan's voice was low. "Du Kaifeng found out about the company registration. His connections are much stronger than mine, and the company registration is facing obstacles. It might…"

Hong Yuan didn't finish, but it was evident what he meant. With Du Kaifeng in the picture, he might never succeed in registering the company.

Hong Yuan wanted to ask Qin Sheng to register the company under someone else's name, but recalling the girl's capabilities, the words got stuck in his throat.

Leaning against the headboard, Qin Sheng narrowed her eyes. "Alright, I understand. I'll handle this. You continue focusing on the company's matters."

Qin Sheng had only recently returned after her rebirth, and the company was still in its preparatory stages, with no connections to speak of.

However, she could find someone to help.
