Chapter 5: The confessions:
🥀 Please don't take anything Characters say personal. 🖤
You were surprised, looking at how excitedly Utahime ran to Satoru and hugged him as if he was her someone. Your trust issues kicked in harder. You were standing right next to Satoru, just watching the moment between him and your best friend, Utahime. "What is going on between you two!?"
Utahime's smile fades away and she turns to you. "Can't you see? I'm here hugging my man."
"Your man?" You asked, doubtfully in disbelief. "Why? You doubt it? I can prove you wrong." Said Utahime, turning to Satoru, holding his cheeks, and kissing his lips. Satoru's body reacted to pushing her away, but he didn't do it because she was his secret lover and didn't wanna disappoint her. Instead of resisting, he kissed her back warmly. "Utahime!" You shouted her name, your mind and heart burning at the scene. Utahime slowly pulled away from the long and passionate kiss, turning her head back to you and letting go of Satoru's face. She took a few steps back to you. "What? Now that you know what's mine, keep yourself away from Satoru Gojo." A wave of weakness washed over you, and your legs trembled, unsteady under the crushing weight of betrayal. "But... He's my fiance." You choked, your throat burning with emotion. "Yeah, but does he love you? Listen. He may be your fiance, but only because of your Mother's business with his Parents. But if we're here talking about true love then... He's just for me." She snapped mockingly, laughing at you like a witch.
You were indeed in disbelief for what was happening. Utahime had never told you that she was texting Satoru. She had never told you recently that she even liked him. You only remembered her telling you that she had a little crush on Satoru when she was 12 years old. "Utahime. You're my best friend. How could you do this to me?" You asked quietly, your voice weak and shaking with emotion. "Oh just shut it. Stop being such a drama Queen. But let me tell you why I did it." Said Utahime with a smirk. She crossed her arms together, moving closer to you. "I've told you countless times that I liked him. But then when I heard your Parents bring up about an arranged marriage between you two with his Parents in that one stupid birthday party of your cousins... I had to go up to Satoru and confess. Oopsies." She said sarcastically. "Yeah, I'm sure they were joking about the arranged marriage there. But the joke has become way too real, sis. I couldn't let my future self suffer seeing you two together. It was already a big pain in the ass hearing that stupid joke of your Parents. Your Mother gave the worst idea possible to Satoru's Parents."
You began to feel guilty hearing all that coming out from your best friend. "But you know that... This isn't my choice, right? That I have no choice, but to marry him!" You said in a loud voice with agony, your heart aching from betrayal. "Well, I don't care. I did what I had to do. Why? You love my man or something?" She asked mockingly. "Well, he's supposed to be my man." You responded. "No, he's supposed to be MY man." Said Utahime. Not only you were burning inside, but also Utahime, while Satoru was there standing behind her, not expecting to be in such a difficult situation. "Alright. You two, calm down. We could talk this out together." He said, trying to calm both of you down. "How did you two even happen!?" You shout out at Satoru, desperately wanting to learn the full truth and story that happened behind your back. "Our relationship is like 4 years old already. Our 5th anniversary is about to come." Said Satoru, winking at Utahime. She reacted at his wink by blowing a kiss at him. "Anyways... Like she said, she came up to me in that party, confessing to me. I rejected her, but she kept on insisting to give up on me. I kinda thought she was cute, so I was like 'Why not? Let's give it a try.' And boom. Here we are." He was excitedly explaining how they had gotten together. Utahime stood proud and clapped her hands once Satoru was done. "Cute, isn't it?" She asked you narcissistically. "I honestly don't regret the decision at all. Like look at her. All those curves. She's hot." Said Satoru, hurting your feelings. "Unlike that... You... You know?" He said, looking at your body. "You seem virgin." He added.
You've had enough in there after they have had confessed their lies and secrets to you in the worst way possible that you walked out the arcade, opening your phone to call for an Uber to get you. Satoru runs after you, grabbing you by your wrist out the arcade. "Oh, come on now. You're pretty too, okay?" He said, trying to make you feel better. "That's not what this is about. I'm hurt." You said, pulling away your wrist from him. "This was all so sudden. I never thought I'd find myself in a situation like this—especially with my one and only friend, Utahime." You began to break down in tears. Satoru began to feel guilty. He pulls you closer to his chest to give you a warm hug, but you push him away. "I don't need your fake sympathy."
While he's outside trying to comfort you at his best, Utahime was inside the Arcade crossing her arms, leaning onto a table and carelessly judging you for yours and Satoru's Parents' plans.
Satoru was worried and mad at the same time that you'd just get in a random Uber car and drive off with a stranger, so he grabbed your phone, putting it in his pocket. He dragged you inside his car, closing the door after he pushed you in. "I'm driving you home." He said with agony in his voice, getting inside the car and starting the engine.
