Chapter 44: Again to the Spider-society
**Earth-66, 2013**
Later that night, Black Cat crouched atop a tall building with her sharp eyes fixed on the jewellery store below. The moonlight illuminated her figure but she knew blending with the shadows as she planned her next heist.
Suddenly, a pair of strong arms wrapped around her waist.
A familiar voice teased in her ears, "You should watch your back, Kitty."
She smirked and her lips curling into a playful grin. "Why bother, Web-Head? I've got you to watch it for me. Besides," she turned to face him and began wrapping her arms around his neck, "I haven't even stolen anything tonight. You're early."
Peter's lower mask dissolved into his suit revealing his smirk, "Maybe I just missed you."
Her eyes sparkled mischievously as she leaned in closer making the gap between them vanishing. "Missed me, huh? And here I thought you were a gentleman. Now look at you, molesting an innocent girl like me. You're no hero, Spidey. What's your girlfriend going to say when she finds out about us?"
Peter chuckled, "I never claimed to be a hero, Kitty. That's your assumption. And I don't think an innocent girl will stand on the top of a building planning to steal. As for my girlfriend, she's perfectly fine with me having... multiple partners."
Before she could respond, he pulled her closer and kissed her. Her eyes widened in surprise but soon, she melted into the kiss, returning it with fervour. Their tongues clashed in a battle of dominance with Peter taking the lead. His hands roamed her body, igniting a spark of excitement in her.
Just as the tension reached its peak, Peter abruptly pulled back. A thin string of saliva connected their lips as he smirked. "That's enough for tonight, Kitty."
Black Cat pouted in disappointment. "You're cruel, Spidey for Leaving me like this."
Peter grinned mischievously and spanked her ass earning a soft moan. "You've got an important day tomorrow, so you should prepare instead of trying to distract me."
Before she could protest, the world around her blurred and when her vision cleared, she found herself in her bedroom. Her eyes widened as she began glancing around in panic, "How did I get here?"
Peter's laugh echoed in the room drawing her attention to him. "Relax, my Kitty. I knew who you are and I wouldn't harm you. I just thought you'd prefer waking up in your own bed."
He leaned in and kissed her once more before pulling back with a smirk. "Here's a little gift for tomorrow. Wear it for me."
As he stepped away, his mask rematerialized, and with a swift motion, he teleported out of the room, leaving Black Cat dazed. "What in the world is going on?" she muttered while rubbing her temples. She then noticed the diamond necklace she'd planned to steal was now around her neck.
A small smile crept across her lips as she sighed. "You're making me addicted to you, Spidey."
---
The next morning, Felicia Hardy arrived at Parker Industries for her interview. Dressed in an elegant office suit, the diamond necklace stood out prominently, catching the light with every movement.
She had heard a lot about Peter Parker from her mother, Anastasia Hardy, the CEO of Hardy Enterprises. Her mother had spoken highly of Peter, often marvelling at how someone so young could achieve such extraordinary success.
Felicia knew this interview would be challenging. Her mother insisted on hard work, refusing to let her rely on family connections. Felicia had already secured offers from several top companies, including Oscorp, but she couldn't resist the allure of Parker Industries. If something caught her attention she wants to know the full story behind it. Her story as Black Cat—born from an irresistible attraction to shiny things—was the same but that's a tale for another day. Today she's going to see this guy, Peter Parker. The youngest chairman only five years younger than her.
When she stepped into the office and got the details, she was surprised to find Peter himself conducting the interview.
He greeted her with a warm smile. "Miss Hardy, it's a pleasure to meet you. Your mother has spoken very highly of you."
They exchanged pleasantries, and Peter wasted no time diving into the interview. He asked sharp, insightful questions, testing her knowledge and skills. Felicia answered each one confidently with her charm and wit shining through.
After the formalities, Peter walked to the floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the city and gestured for her to join him. As they stood side by side, bathed in the morning light, he turned to her and said, "That necklace suits you perfectly."
Felicia smiled and touched the necklace. "Thank you. It's a gift from a... friend."
Peter smirked and much to her surprise, gave her a light smack on her rear. Felicia yelped and her cheeks flushing. "I knew you'd like it, Kitty," Peter teased her in low voice, "You're hired. I look forward to working with you."
Before she could respond, he teleported away in a flash leaving her stunned.
Felicia stood frozen with her mind racing. Her eyes widened as she recalled Spider-Man's habit of playfully smacking her rear—it had felt exactly the same, and he teleported away before her eyes, just as Spider-Man had done the night before.
"No way... Peter Parker… is Spider-Man."
After a while a sly smile crept onto her lips as she whispered, "This is going to be fun."

**A Few Moments Earlier**
Inside the CEO's office, Gwen sat at her desk, surrounded by neatly arranged files and a glowing laptop related to her degree. Even though Peter had made her the CEO of Parker Industries while he remained the chairman, she was determined to complete her studies in medical technology.
Peter handled the majority of the company's work, leaving Gwen with manageable tasks. She wanted to finish her degree and eventually her Ph.D. as quickly as possible. She knew the company's growth would accelerate in the future, and Peter wouldn't be able to manage everything on his own.
Last night, she felt Peter grew stronger and also her powers as well, she also struggled to control her powers momentarily and asked him the reason behind their sudden increase in power and he showed her what happened in another world he went to explore. She is very shocked to see the state of the world and got to know Peter planned to rebuild that world. Although she didn't completely agree with turning the zombies into symbiote army, Peter is dead serious when he talked about it. It was her first time seeing Peter this serious after uncle ben's death. She got a feeling Peter is readying this army for a reason and decide on a goal.
Her goal was to support him but her thoughts were interrupted when her watch emitted a sharp beep.
She glanced at it and immediately recognized who was contacting her. Without hesitation, she pressed a hidden button beneath her desk. The transparent windows of the office turned opaque, replaced by holographic projections. Gwen tapped another button on her watch and in an instant she was teleported to the Spider's Web.

**Inside the Spider's Web**
Gwen materialized inside the futuristic headquarters and was immediately greeted by Jessica Drew, who sat on the couch with her face clouded with worry.
"Jessica!" Gwen exclaimed and began walking over to her who stood up seeing Gwen. She gave Jessica a quick hug before pulling back to study her face. "What's wrong? Don't tell me Miguel did something. If he did, just say the word, and I'll kick his ass."
Jessica managed a small smile. "No, Gwen... Miguel didn't do anything. Well, not directly. But he… huh…he needs help—from you and Peter. He wants to meet you both personally."
Gwen's brow furrowed as she considered Jessica's words. Before she could respond, Peter suddenly teleported beside her and placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
Gwen turned to him and smiled with her concern momentarily easing.
Peter returned the smile and then shifted his attention to Jessica. "Don't worry, Jess. We'll help him. When do you need us?"
Jessica hesitated before opening a portal to the Spider Society. "It's best if we go now."
Gwen glanced between the glowing portal and Jessica with her confusion deepening. Jessica seemed tense and almost reluctant.
Peter however appeared calm with no surprised expression. Gwen didn't know that Peter had left a part of his symbiote in the Spider Society to keep tabs on Miguel's actions. He already had a good idea of what Miguel was planning and understood Jessica's conflicted feelings. She didn't want to betray her friends, but she also wasn't sure how to handle the situation.
Gwen looked up at Peter. 'What's going on? Why does Miguel need us so suddenly? And Why is Jess behaving strangely.'
Peter smiled softly, "Don't worry, Gwen. We'll help Miguel... so he can come to his senses."
Jessica glanced at Peter sensing there was more to his words than he let on. However, she remained silent, leading them through the portal.

**Earth-928, Spider Society**
A portal spiralled open in the grand hall of the Spider Society, with Peter, Gwen, and Jessica stepping through. Peter wore his sleek Malware suit while Gwen donned her iconic spider suit and both are keeping their faces uncovered. The metallic sheen of Peter's symbiote suit caught the light as they moved.
"This place has really improved since our last visit," Gwen's eyes immediately wandered around and was captivated by the sight before her. The headquarters had undergone a significant upgrade since her last visit. Towering structures with advanced tech displays and bustling spider-people made the place feel like a sprawling, futuristic hub, the newly upgraded facility with futuristic technology—crystalline displays floating in mid-air, holographic interfaces, and gravity-defying walkways connecting various sections.
Peter on the other hand, was less impressed by the architecture. His sharp gaze swept around, catching the not-so-subtle stares of the other spider-people. He sighed internally. 'Can't they at least pretend they're not watching us?' he thought.
Jessica led the way toward the main building, but before they could reach the entrance, a familiar voice called out from behind them. "Hey! Wait up!" They turned to find Earth-65's Gwen Stacy sprinting toward them. She wasn't alone. Beside her was a young man in a black and red Spider-Man suit. The two Gwen's immediately embraced like old friends.
"It's been too long," Earth-65 Gwen said while pulling back with a smile.
Gwen-66 smiled back. "You too, Gwen. And who's this?" she asked while gesturing toward the boy.
Gwen-65 gestured to her companion. "I want you guys to meet Miles Morales. He's the new Spider-Man from Earth-1610, but he's been helping me out lately."
Miles rubbed the back of his neck, looking both shy and excited. "Uh, hey. It's nice to meet you guys. I've heard somethings about you from Gwen here and wow you sure look exactly the same, someone might mistake you as twins."
Both Gwen's smiled at that statement.
Peter extended a hand with a smile which Miles eagerly shook. "Welcome to the club, Miles. How's the spider-life treating you so far?"
Miles chuckled nervously. "It's... a lot. But I'm getting the hang of it."
As if on cue, Miles's form flickered and distorted—a common problem for spider-people traveling between dimensions. Jessica quickly stepped forward, offering him a metallic wristband.
"Here," she said while helping him secure it. "This will stabilize your quantum signature. We've made some improvements to the design since... previous incidents."
Miles flexed his hand as the band activated, the glitching immediately subsiding. "Thanks. That feels much better."
"Don't worry," Gwen-65 assured him. "We all went through that phase. Our tech guy helped in develop those stabilizers after what happened during the last convergence."
Jessica nodded. "The quantum entanglement was causing too many spider-people to destabilize during cross-dimensional travel. These bands create a localized field that maintains your home dimension's quantum frequency."
"Speaking of frequencies," Earth-65 Gwen interjected with her expression growing serious, "that's partly why we're here. We've detected some strange guy moving across other realities. Miles picked up on it first in his universe."
"Yeah," Miles added and shared his encounter with the guy who called himself Spot.
Gwen-66 looked at Peter, 'This information might be the reason for Miguel's request for help.'
"We should continue this inside," Jessica suggested while glancing around at the other spider-people who were trying—and failing—to appear uninterested in their conversation. "Miguel's waiting for us in the chamber, and I think all of these pieces might be connected."
The group began making their way toward the building with Jessica leading followed by Gwen-65 and Miles is walking alongside Peter and Gwen-66 with his excitement barely contained.
