Ascending the National Fortune: I Bring Technology from the Future

Chapter 35

Chapter 35: Opening the Card

“High-quality sensors are now an essential component of modern industry. The domestic sensor market has experienced rapid growth in recent years, with an annual increase of over 20%, gradually expanding. However, sensors still face challenges such as low overall technological levels and heavy reliance on imported high-end products.

China has developed a comprehensive industrial system in the sensor field, encompassing technology research, design, production, and application. More than 6,000 sensor products are classified into 42 subcategories within 10 major categories. The market satisfaction rate for mid-to-low-end products stands at approximately 60%-70%.

However, the challenges become more pronounced when it comes to more advanced, digitized, intelligent, and miniaturized products. Even someone as capable as Zhang Liang found it challenging to address this issue.

Nonetheless, the country has come a long way, rising from extreme poverty and near collapse to its current state. To make up for past shortcomings, collective efforts are needed.

Fang Jian signaled for Zhang Liang to compile a list of required machine models but acknowledged the uncertainty of obtaining them. Zhang Liang cautioned Fang Jian not to overextend himself.

Fang Jian reassured him, saying he could handle it. The two shared another cup of tea, their spirits undiminished.

Fang Jian knew that completing this task would benefit the country significantly, and contributing to the nation’s progress was something he couldn’t refuse. Despite the country’s imperfections and injustices, the phrase ‘descendants of Yan and Huang’ held a special meaning for all.

The next morning, Fang Jian woke up early to help his adorable daughter, Yiyi, get out of bed. Before Yiyi, Fang Jian had difficulty waking up early, but seeing her changed that. Unless it was a weekend, he wouldn’t sleep in anymore.

After some coaxing and cajoling, little Yiyi finally woke up with sleepy eyes, making her older brother, Fang Biao, slightly jealous. His son had taken over his job. Nevertheless, seeing their strong sibling bond, Fang Jian and his wife felt reassured and relieved.”

“After dropping Fang Yiyi off at the kindergarten, Fang Jian stood outside the fence with a friendly smile, observing her join the other children during their morning exercises before entering the classroom. Only then did he calmly proceed on his way.

However, after walking a few steps, Fang Jian sensed something amiss. A burly man blocked his path.

Fang Jian raised an eyebrow and inquired, “Who are you? Do we know each other?”

The man replied, “We haven’t met. This is our boss’s business card; he wishes to meet you.”

Fang Jian smiled faintly and gracefully bypassed the man, showing no interest in the business card. The man, shocked, watched him depart.

Although the man had clutched his fists, he dared not act recklessly. His boss had instructed him not to provoke Fang Jian, so he could only watch as Fang Jian walked away.

Hu Bin? Fang Jian remembered the name on the business card.

Fang Jian had no recollection of this person and was unaware of his intentions. Giving him a business card wouldn’t make him eagerly go and meet someone.

Fang Jian parked near the bank and called, prompting Yu Lan to come outside.

“Hey, Fang Jian, you’re here,” Yu Lan greeted with a smile. “What kind of account do you want to open? Personal or company?”

Fang Jian casually responded, “Let’s open a personal account. It’s too troublesome otherwise.”

“Sure.”

With Yu Lan’s guidance, Fang Jian swiftly opened an account. He then took a China Merchants Bank card and asked, “Can I transfer money directly here?”

“Of course, with a handling fee of two yuan.”

“Okay, transfer six million.”

Yu Lan wasn’t a teller, but the teller overseeing the transaction discreetly glanced at the screen, causing her body to stiffen abruptly, and her eyes brightened slightly. The attractive receptionist looked deeply at Fang Jian, and her attitude changed.
