Avatar: Mage of All Elements

The search went on for two days. We walked in a spiral, getting farther and farther away from the mansion, farther and farther into the depths of the earth realm.

The boys who were with me almost ran out of energy to keep going when I felt a vibration. We were in a forest, not far from the mountains, and that's where the vibration was coming from. Since there was nothing to lose, I decided to check it out.

I got close and sent a strong impulse up the mountain. I found a couple of badgermole with a small child by their side. I didn't think long and immediately ran inside, making a passage for the guards as well. The closer I got, the more I realized that it was a girl of about five years old.

And as I flew into the cave towards her, I realized that she was the one I was looking for. But there was one small problem, there were two huge badger moles near her. And they were especially dangerous for the smaller one. Right behind me, all the other males ran into the cave.

«Mistress!» one of them shouted in surprise. And the smaller one responded.

«Lee? How did you get here?»

«I found you», I said in a calm voice.

«Who are you, I don't know you», she asked with interest, showing no fear.

«I'm a friend of your mother's. She was worried about you and asked me to find you», I said as simply as I could so she would understand. After all, she's still a child.

«I don't want to go home», she said, stamping her foot. It would have been fine, but it was a circular pulse. Only mages can do that. Heh, it's funny what happens when you check one more thing.

I sat down and started writing the question of whether she could see me on the floor with my fingers. When I finished, she nodded. What a twist. The girl from the cartoon, standing in front of me.

«Go to the manor and report that Toph has been found», I said calmly to the boys. She ran away for a reason, that's why she won't come back. Once I know the reason, I can change her mind and they'll just be in the way.

«What about Mistress?» one of them asked.

«She'll be fine», I said calmly, «I won't let anything happen to her. Go to the mansion.»

They were reluctant, but under my pressure they quickly left. I, however, closed the passage and found myself in total darkness with a little girl and two adult badger moles.

«You're not completely blind», I said, now that I had fully switched to seismic vision, and I realized why she was talking to me. Since I was barefoot, she could sense that I wasn't lying to her, and that gave me credit.

«You can do it too», she said, running to the paw of one of the beasts. I was about to take her away from them when she continued, «They're good. They showed me tricks»

«What tricks are you talking about?» I decided to ask anyway.

«Look», and she pulled the beasts by their fur. And it was me who made my hair stand on end. Especially when the beast hissed. And when it used its momentum and demonstrated earth magic, I almost turned gray. But nothing bad happened. Just the walls of the cave parted and a passage to another, smaller cave opened. There was what looked like a bed and a table, with a chair «I can do that too, but I'm not very good at it.»

«I can teach you if you want», I said more calmly. These beasts didn't seem to want to hurt her.

«Really?» she asked excitedly. I just nodded, «Yay!» she started running around the cave.

«Let's have them show you a trick and you repeat it, what doesn't work I'll explain», so and so wanted to teach someone, and this way I'll at least get the basics right.

«Okay.»

And so we started to learn. Even though I didn't trust these badger moles, they listened to Toph and showed me many techniques.

Many things I would never have thought of, and some ideas would never have occurred to me, such as sending not one pulse, but two, one after the other, to amplify the first. That way you can increase the attack a lot with a lot less effort.
