Avatar: Tower Master

Chapter 2: Tower

For the first time in however long I have been here I saw something other than the red screen and that was blinding white light. Shutting my eyes tightly I waited for the light to recede and when it finally did, I had to pry my eyes open scared to know what I would see.

Yet again in front of me is a red screen.

[Notice] your job as the tower master is to guide people in their choices throughout the tower as well as to safeguard its secrets. Revealing too much at one time or to any one person can cause unforeseen issues that may affect the future of the world. Overall though you are an ambassador for the tower toward the dezian's of this world.

Looking around all I saw I was standing in a large plain that went almost as far as I could see in one direction. Looking to my right I was surprised to see some large mountains and a very large river running through it just a few miles from where I was. Finally, I looked up and saw my tower behind me, nothing could have prepared me for how large it was. I couldn't even see the top of the tower.

"Well, this is going to be noticeable. But I can't believe it, I'm actually in a new world" where I am. I have no idea, but the excitement just kept bubbling up and soon a large grin could be seen across my face.

"Wait crap, it said my appearance was randomized" I quickly looked at myself twisting and turning to try and see every part of myself.

Wearing a blue cloth t-shirt and some baggy brown pants I was surprised to see my skin was a bit lighter than it was previously. It was like I never went into the sun. Luckily, I still was about five feet seven. Unfortunately, though my nice dark hair was gone and in its place was a dirty blond hair pulled back into a short ponytail.

"Wait, am I even a dude?" Quickly I pulled my pants open and found my junk still intact. "Thank God".

"Umm let's see here, Status?"

Looking through all of the options took a while, but it was worth it. The classes were just how I bought more general classes for people to start with. Each one cost a hundred points. Dungeons was disappointing that the only option was to purchase a random dungeon and add it to a floor of my choice. The only real option for this was the difficulty of the dungeon. Class stones were just as it described, to add higher tier class stones that were apparently required for someone to advance their class. The last option was confusing when I clicked on it. The only thing that came up was a search bar.

I quickly input Excalibur and a notification came up.

Excalibur: 1,000,000 points

"Okay so considering I have no points let's look around" Immediately I was teleported to the first floor of my tower "Well that's useful"

Entering the tower, I looked around and made myself familiar with the five floors I was given charge of. I discovered that the descriptions of the floors were quite apt. The green forest was green, the rocky plains were rocky. Eventually I found a small river in the green forest where I could look at my face. My new eyes were like a forest green, and my face was quite nice with a defined jawline as well as thin lips. One thing I hated was the fact that I had what people would consider a large forehead.

"Oh, come one!" I yelled as I felt my ears. They were pointed like some freaking elf, although they're shorter than an elf's. I guess? On the positive side I still looked about twenty.

Finally deciding to go see the monsters I looked around the first floor and spotted the slimes and horned rabbits which looked pretty much how one would expect. Moving to the third floor I spotted the salamanders and scorpions and holy shit where they were big. Each one was like the size of a large dog. If those things have venom people will be in trouble fighting them. I can't believe I actually have to do this.

Looking around for a while longer I finally found a tree on the first floor that I sat under. Opening my status, I began to look through all of my options. Especially the territory system which was just a map of the area. I was right in assuming that it was mostly just a large plain with some sparse growths of trees. I was surprised by the mountains and river extending past my map's territory.

Teleporting over to that area I was amazed by how beautiful the landscape was. Everything was in various shapes of rocks and grass. It was absolutely beautiful.

Looking back to the other parts of the map I also noticed a few dozen dots just a few miles away. Zooming in on that part I noticed some structures that looked like houses. I guess there are some people around.

"I guess I should introduce myself, maybe see if they want to come to the tower" I stated but ultimately decided to wait. Since it was getting dark outside, I entered back into my tower and back to the same tree as earlier slumping down and falling asleep.
