Azura the youngest pope

After the holy service, which is a gathering where people from all walks of life can attend, there we pray to the goddess of the sky and pray for blessings and protection, commoners travel tens of kilometres to come, as it's only held once a month. 

After it was done, I headed to the upper floor of the monastery where a teleportation array is built, this will take me to the sky palace. This array is created for those who can't fly up there themselves and I'm one of those people, so stepping on the large magic circle on the floor, I signal to the operator that I'm ready. 

I disappeared from my position, then I found myself in the familiar operating room, with tall white pillars and a large magic circle on the floor, surrounding the magic circle is tens of armoured knights and white and blue robed Mages that stood protecting the arrays and investigating anyone appearing here, I'm the only one at the moment. 

I'm a regular so they didn't even bother checking me, I just headed out the exit. Passing the two holy knights guarding the large crystal double doors made from a thousand year old mana eating crystal. . 

Damn, I never get used to how huge this place is, the ceiling is so high as if it was made for giants and ancient dragons, beautiful carvings cover the walls, tall pillars and a white marble floor with flashes of blue, these seem to be the main colours of the eye of god church, white, blue and gold. 

Walking in the long hallway, I head to my bedchambers, located in the Far East of the palace, a very secluded area, I didn't meet a single person on my way there, as I reached the huge double doors of my room, they opened up automatically and I walked in greeted by a large and beautiful room, the large queen size bed was in front of me. 

A huge window behind it and on my right was another large window that almost reached the ceiling, the silky blue curtains were just as tall, then on my left was another set of double doors leading to a big bathroom but my favourite part was the ceiling itself. 

To be more specific it was the dome skylight, I could see the clear sky and I couldn't describe to you how magical the stars looked at night, even the greatest artists out there couldn't replicate it. 

Anyways my point is this really is a room fit for a king, way better than the three room my parents owned in my past life. 

"Please prepare the bath for me". I looked towards the lady with me. Her name is Faith and she is my faithful caretaker. No pun intended. 

"I'm on it master Cross". She gave me a little bow then left, she's too graceful in her actions, I kinda feel ashamed she's wasted on me.

Anyway, I head to the bathroom, I call it a bath but it's basically a pool, with these statues holding vases where water is flowing in the pool size bath. Faith comes and takes off my clothes, I told her I can do it myself but she insisted, I swear. 

Now I'm full on buck naked as I walked into the bath, Faith also strips and follows after me and she held a sponge in her hand, washing my back. I swear to god this was not my idea, she insisted and I couldn't say no to her so here we are, I don't feel shy anymore, we've been doing this since I was born.

I look at the large mirror two meters away, long messy white hair, beautiful smooth dark skin and my sky blue eyes that almost glowed in the steam filled room, my pointy ears kept reminding me I'm no longer human, I'm a half elf now, my hair, skin and my almost female like face are all inherited from my mother. My eyes are the only thing I inherited from my father. 

I felt my eyes watering, as the tears fell slowly down my cheeks, I never met them, but I heard a lot from Faith about them, she told me how my mother would sing to me while rubbing her stomach, that's the type of love I was never shown in my past life and I hate the demons for taking away my chance at a happy family.

I felt two hands wrap around me, the warmth coming from them was different from the heat of the water, I felt the tears falling even harder, till it turned into a full blow cry, I couldn't hold them back anymore.

There's a void in my heart and it will never be filled without the love of my parents
