Baby Pharmacist Princess

Chapter 24

‘Oh no, I can’t get mesmerized. I’m supposed to be the one doing the charming!’

I quickly regained my composure.

‘He’s handsome, but I won’t fall for it.’

As planned, I needed to focus on winning over Gergys and making him my ally.

I’ll make sure he can’t resist my charm and turn him into a doting brother!

And then use him as my tank.

With this scheming thought, I watched Idsys talking to the Prince.

I could hide behind the staircase, just enough to keep an eye on them.

“Do you clearly understand what it means to have a sister?”

“Yes, of course.”

“Hmph.”

The first voice was Idsys’s response, and the second was Gergys’s scoff.

At first glance, Gergys seemed rude while Idsys was polite and courteous, making many think Idsys was kinder.

But I wasn’t fooled.

‘I played the game with them for eight years. I won’t be deceived!’

Idsys and Gergys were twins, but their personalities and inner thoughts were as different as night and day.

‘Gergys is straightforward and, in some ways, almost foolishly honest.’

Even as an adult, he retained this personality.

He doesn’t realize how handsome he is or why noblewomen visit him!

He just focuses on training.

He’s clueless about romance, making many noblewomen sigh in frustration.

But Idsys…

‘He’s more cunning than me.’

If Gergys lives without thinking much, Idsys thinks enough for two geniuses.

If he’s an ally, there’s no one more reliable, but as an enemy, facing Idsys is worse than jumping into a fire.

“Ah, there she is. Father, is that her?”

At that moment, Idsys spotted me.

Everyone’s gaze turned to me.

“Cherry, run to them!”

As I ran towards the twins, I finalized my strategy.

“Hello, Cherry. It’s nice to meet you. We are your brothers.”

When Idsys approached with a kind smile and extended his hand, his eyes were cold despite the smile. I made a firm decision in my heart.

Gergys it is.

“Cherry.”

“Uh-huh.”

“This is Idsys. The one behind him is Gergys. You can tell them apart by their hair color. They are both your brothers.”

“Che.”

The Prince’s concise introduction ended with Gergys clicking his tongue loudly.

“Eek!”

But who am I?

I can pretend not to notice any coldness.

Ignoring Idsys completely, I stretched my chubby arms towards Gergys.

“Big Brother!”

“What, what? Why is she doing this? Did you guys feed her something strange?”

“Of course not, Your Highness.”

“Then why is she acting like this?”

Gergys seemed to judge me as abnormal and took a step back. Idsys’s expression barely changed, but there was a faint hint of displeasure.

But I didn’t back down and smiled at Gergys again, more brightly than a sunflower.

“Big Brother Ger!”

“Ger? What’s Ger? My name is Gergys, you dunce.”

“Big Brother Ger, you’re my brother.”

Gergys looked outwardly displeased.

The aides standing beside the Prince, greeting the twin princes, couldn’t hide their amusement and shifted in their seats.

Honestly, I found it a bit funny too.

When has Idsys ever been ignored like this?

I bet today is the first time.

“Ah, Brother Idsys is also my brother.”

Of course, I quickly smiled at Idsys as well.

The title might be slightly different, but still.

Idsys raised his eyebrows slightly, noticing the subtle difference.

‘The reason I first showed affection to Gergys over Idsys is simple.’

Idsys knows his looks are an asset in relationships.

His confidence and arrogance are evident in his demeanor.

But Gergys is different.

He’s awkward around people and doesn’t particularly like them.

So, no one would typically show him more affection than Idsys at first.

He must have taken it for granted.

‘Idsys will be slightly hurt in his pride for losing to Gergys and will try to impress me more. He’ll want to make a good first impression.’

Gergys will be bewildered by the sudden affection. He must be.

Only then will this strategy make sense!

“I really think there’s something wrong with her. Let’s call a doctor.”

Gergys’s innocent comment made Idsys give me a very peculiar look.

As if he had figured out my plan!

“Whatever your calculations were, I don’t want to ignore them even if I understand. Was even this reaction part of your plan, little sister?”

Idsys reached out and patted my head, speaking kindly.

His tone was gentle, but it sent chills down my spine.

Solip seemed to understand, smiling mysteriously, and the Prince chuckled softly, while Gergys just looked bewildered, unable to grasp the situation.

“Uh-huh, Cherry doesn’t know. I’m just really happy to have big brothers!”

I put a small finger to my lips and tilted my head, pretending I didn’t understand anything. Please just fall for it, please!

Idsys’s smile widened even more.

“Cute. You definitely are my little sister.”

“Hehe, really?”

“Yes. So, let’s go for a walk. I’ll show you our secret base in the White Night Palace.”

Idsys’s previously furrowed brows relaxed.

Gergys scratched the back of his head, looking hesitant but eventually stepping closer with a resigned expression.

He looked like he was afraid I’d cling to him again.

‘Then I’ll cling to you!’

I smiled brightly and ran towards Gergys.

“Big Brother Ger, I like you! Let’s go together!”

“Why are you acting like this? What do you like about me? Don’t lie, you dunce.”

“I’m not a dunce.”

I giggled continuously, playfully pestering him, making Gergys cover his mouth and look away.

But I saw the corners of your lips twitch!

“Hmph, I guess you are kind of cute.”

Gergys cleared his throat, moving awkwardly.

I clung to him, rubbing my soft cheeks against his arm.

Maybe Idsys’s affection level didn’t change, but I definitely got Gergys hooked.

‘Sorry, Idsys. I have to tackle the easier target first.’

I’ll make it up to you later!

“Tsk.”

The Prince clicked his tongue, clearly displeased with my antics.

But he didn’t object to the twins taking me along.

‘He must want us to get along.’

While I was cozying up to Gergys, Idsys continued his calm conversation with the Prince.

“I trust you have your reasons for adopting her, Father.”

“Yes.”

“Then we’ll do our best to get along with our new sister. It’s your wish, after all.”

Which, translated, meant they had no intention of getting along with me.

Who wouldn’t catch that?

“Shall we check out the secret base then? It’s been a while since we’ve been here.”

Having greeted Father, their business at the palace was done.

I obediently stood between the two boys, holding their hands.

And shortly after.

“Whaaaat?!”

I was teleported by magic.

To a huge tree!

* * *

Idsys and Gergys’ secret base was a treehouse.

Built high up in the tree, it overlooked the entire White Night Palace.

Just a brief glance down made me dizzy and feel like I might fall.

‘Ugh, I don’t like heights.’

I put off sightseeing and crawled back into the treehouse.

Despite the lack of a fireplace, the air was warm.

That was thanks to the magical fire Gergys had conjured in the air.

“Cozy.”

“Right? I’m glad our little sister likes it. Here, want this?”

Idsys sat me at the table and handed me a lollipop.

‘A lollipop as big as my face!’

And it’s cherry-flavored.

Did he prepare this specifically because he heard about me?

I sucked on the lollipop and glanced at the rather ominous door.

It was covered with numerous daggers, likely thrown by Gergys, but…

‘Despite that, I like the overall warm atmosphere.’

As I looked around, I asked what had been on my mind.

“Why did you bring me here? What’s the benefit?”

I had thought about it the whole time while looking around the treehouse, but this was the real question.

I’m just a four-year-old who doesn’t know much, right?

“I heard you made some medicine.”

Medicine…?

That was just some plum extract I made…

Nothing grand at all.

But it felt like I should claim to be capable. I had that instinct.

So I nodded as if I were a world-renowned doctor.

“Of course! I know how to make it!”

“Good to hear. I was worried about what to do if you said you couldn’t.”

“…”

Haha, yeah.

Idsys still wore a kind smile aimed at me.

I could bet all my collected gems that it wasn’t a genuine smile.

“It’s a secret, but our grandfather hasn’t been well lately.”

At that moment, I realized this was serious.
