Babysitting Whitebeard’s Crew:How I Accidentally Became a Teen Emperor

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Drawing Comics is The Way

The Moby Dick docked at Dillock Island, the base camp of the Whitebeard Pirates. The captains and their crews dispersed to prepare for what might be their greatest challenge yet.

Jozu, the captain of the 3rd division, remained behind, his mind tangled with thoughts about his inadequacies in developing his Kira Kira no Mi powers. While undeniably powerful, he couldn't shake the feeling that his abilities had plateaued.

"Marco, do you think what Lucas said is that serious?" asked Rakuyo, the captain of the 7th division, still sceptical of the looming threat.

Marco placed a reassuring hand on Rakuyo's shoulder. "If Dad trusts Lucas, then so should we. He wouldn't say this unless it were real. Besides, he even suggested we focus on our Haki and Devil Fruit abilities. That alone says a lot."

The other captains nodded, their doubts quelled by Marco's certainty. Yet, Jozu still hesitated. He wasn't one for overthinking, but the pressure to grow stronger in preparation for the impending war was undeniable.

Blamenco, the 6th division captain, noticed Jozu's unease. "Hey, Jozu, why don't you ask Lucas for help? He did say we could go to him with cultivation questions."

"Ask him about Kira Kira no Mi? That's a bit much, isn't it?" Jozu replied, scratching his head awkwardly.

"Why not? Don't forget, he helped Dad develop that spiral shockwave move. Imagine what he could do for you if he could give Dad pointers!" Blamenco's enthusiasm was infectious.

Jozu thought it over. If there was even a chance Lucas could help him, he had to try.

---

Lucas was deeply engrossed in his work in the captain's quarters aboard the Moby Dick. His hand moved swiftly over the pages, sketching scenes that pulsed with energy. For him, every comic drawn wasn't just a story but a stepping stone to greater power.

As he finished a chapter, a heavy knock came at the door.

"Lucas, may I come in?"

Recognizing Jozu's deep voice, Lucas sighed. What could he possibly want now?

"Come in."

Jozu entered, his towering frame nearly filling the room. Despite his intimidating appearance, his expression was sheepish.

"Lucas, I… well, I'm struggling with developing my Kira Kira no Mi abilities. I heard you helped Dad with his Gura Gura no Mi, so I was hoping you might have some advice for me."

Lucas blinked. Advice? On Kira Kira no Mi? While he had the system to boost his strength, he didn't have practical fruit development expertise. However, he couldn't just admit that. His earlier declaration about offering guidance had painted him into a corner.

After a moment of thought, inspiration struck. "Jozu, head to the eastern cliffs of Dillock Island. That's where I used to live. You'll find a collection of my works there. They might provide the inspiration you're looking for."

Jozu raised an eyebrow. "Your… works?"

Lucas nodded. "Trust me. The ideas and visuals in those works might help you think about your abilities differently."

Jozu, ever the straightforward one, didn't question it further. "Alright. I'll check it out. Thanks, Lucas!"

As Jozu left, Lucas exhaled in relief. Hopefully, the concepts in those comics give him some ideas. If not, well... at least he'll have something to do.

---

On the cliffs of Dillock Island, Jozu found a small, humble cabin filled with bookshelves overflowing with comics. As he began flipping through the pages, his eyes widened.

The characters, battles, and powers depicted were unlike anything he had ever imagined. Techniques that twisted the laws of nature, clashes that reshaped worlds, and powers that defied logic...

"This… this is incredible," Jozu murmured. Each page sparked a new idea, igniting a fire of creativity he hadn't felt before.

Perhaps, just perhaps, with Lucas's guidance—or rather, his inspiration—he could push his Kira Kira no Mi powers to new heights.

---

Back in his quarters, Lucas smirked as he resumed his drawing.

"Jozu has his comics. Now, I need to keep levelling up. The war won't wait for anyone."

And so, while the captains honed their skills, Lucas kept working on his ultimate weapon: art.
