Back In Time As An Ancient Demon Lord.

Chapter 5: The Earth Shattering Battle (1)

 Rimuru's POV:

As I arrived at my desired location, I could see Guy fighting against Milim, and I must say that I am really impressed.

Although there were battles as great or even greater than this during the tenma war, this one showcased the true power of the individuals that existed in the past.

Milim, although heavily inexperienced, was adapting to the fight little by little whilst Guy was giving her a hard time.

I also spotted Rudra trying to maintain the {Castle Guard} to prevent the hyper-compressed magicule waste from poisoning the atmosphere.

Rimuru:( Hey Ciel-san, why is the Castle Guard failing? Even though Milim destroyed part of the Nasca kingdom, there shouldn't be any problem since most of the people evacuated when there was an invasion, right? )

Ciel: ( Yes master. But during the time of the battle between Guy and Milim, the Chaos dragon also rampaged. Therefore, more people were killed. )

Rimuru: ( What! Why didn't you tell me beforehand? )

Ciel: ( That's because Velgrynd is taking care of it, and it seems that Dino created a barrier to protect them. )

Rimuru: ( How do you even know that? )

Ciel: I inspected the area with {Universal Perception} before we transferred here. )

Rimuru: 'So I got careless again, huh? Heh.'

Ciel: ( Master shouldn't be proud of that. )

Rimuru: Oi, quit listening to my thoughts already. Scratch that. Shouldn't I interfere with it? It will only be sealed after Milim becomes sane again, but from the looks of it, that time isn't soon. I also don't want her to be sulky. No one wants a sulky Milim. I feel like some doors did something to Milim during this whole charade because she always takes her frustration on it. I don't want those poor doors to suffer again.

Ciel: ( You can choose to interfere as you being here has already interfered with the world. )

Rimuru: ( Alright then, let's head back. But what about the barrier. Will anything bad happen here? )

Ciel: ( Ramires will arrive soon.)

With that, we initiated yet another {Time Warp} back to Sarion and I spotted a person different from Velgrynd trying to fight the chaos dragon but got defeated easily.

Rimuru: ( Hey Ciel-san, who was that? The dude was pretty strong for a no-named character. )

Ciel: ( That person is suspected to be Sarion. The husband of Sylvia and father to Elmesia. )

Rimuru: ( Hm. Should I save him? But I don't want the course of history to be altered beyond my knowledge, so no. I also wanna teach Yuuki a lesson and show him that the world is not his playground! Seriously. Someone needs to tell him what's reality! Hey Ciel-san, what should we do first?)

Ciel: ( Do not ask me. You should learn to do something on your own. )

Rimuru: (..... Fine then. I'll first redirect it to an inhabited zone to reduce the localised damage, and I hope you'll assist in nullifying the corruption on the dragon. )

Ciel: ( As expected of Rimuru-sama! I will definitely be of use in that part master. )

Rimuru: ( You sound stupidly sus, you know? Meh, whatever. )

Rimuru ignored Ciel's suspicious behavioral change and went to engage the chaos dragon. When he arrived, he received a curious and wary gaze from Velgrynd but assured her that he was there to help.

He coated his fist with his golden-black aura and delivered a powerful blow to the Dragon's head, successfully earning its full attention. The dragon then released a breath attack, but it was countered by Rimuru's subskill {Void Barrier}, and the attack was nullified.

The dragon, seeing him come out of it's assault unscathed became enraged and ferociously went after him whilst Rimuru used this to escape with the dragon to a vacant land with a few mountains. With this, he was the only one fighting with the dragon whilst Velgrynd took care of the injured people.

Seeing the opportunity, Rimuru landed energy draining blows to it by using his ultimate skill "Void God: Azathoth ". This severely weakened it, causing its attack to slow down. He then surrounded the dragon with the {Imaginary Barrier}, further weakening it and making it collapse due to exhaustion.

Rimuru: Ciel, I've restrained it, so can you help me now?

Ciel: Hai! Hehehe.

Rimuru: Eh! What's that creepy giggle for?

Ciel: Whatever do you mean master?

Rimuru: Just help already! Geez.

Ciel: But master~, you told me to discard the new ultimate skill I created, but that same skill is what I can use to do the job.

Rimuru: Huh. What do you mean?

Ciel: You see the soul of the chaos dragon has been corrupted by rage due to the effect of Milim's skill"Wrathful King: Satanael "and by isolating it in your barrier, you have succeeded in severing the soul corridor between them, but it is still rage driven and only by purifying the soul from the corruptions will it cease to cause havoc and I know a skill that can do just the job!

Rimuru: ... Let me guess [Asura]?

Ciel: Hmph!

Rimuru: Oh, come on, Ciel-san. Okay, I swear I'm gonna make it up to you so pleeease forgive me.

Ciel: Hmph! You better.

Rimuru: ( Phew! I just escaped an existential crisis. Im pretty sure she'll forgive, so there's no need to make it up to her. Im such a genius. Hahahahahahahaha.)

Ciel: You know I can hear your thoughts.

Rimuru:....

Ciel: [Activating the ultimate skill "Lord of Lost Souls:Asura "..... successful]

Rimuru: There! You happy now?

Ciel: You still owe me.

With that, Ciel used the subskill of [Asura], {Soul Harvest} to separate the soul from the body and used the other subskill

{Soul Resonance} to purify the remnants of negative emotions and energy before using {Soul Gluttony} of [Azathoth] to devour the chaos dragon along with its soul into the {Imaginary Space}.

Ciel also used [Asura] to purify the body of the chaos dragon from the remnants of corrupted energy before infusing the soul with the body and bringing the sleeping dragon out of the subspace.

Rimuru: Hm. Thanks Ciel-san, you're the best as always.

Ciel: You can praise me more, you know.

Rimuru: Yeah, yeah, I'll do that later. Let's get back to help Milim.

Ciel: Hai!

Rimuru took the dragon who had gone back to its original size and gave it back to Velgrynd after returning to meet her. She questioned him about how he did it when she couldn't do it.

She knew that she was incapable of calming the dragon down without killing it outright and felt inferior to the stranger who came out of nowhere and did what a true dragon could not have done. But Velgrynd being the stubborn type refused to accept it as reality and tried to inquire on how the stranger managed to do it, only to be told that there was no time for that and something has to be done about the rampaging dragonoid.

He then escaped back to Darmagania and hid from the battlefield. Rimuru saw that Ramires had come and was able to create a barrier strong enough to contain the two catastrophe class individuals that were going all out. He decided to wait for the right moment to intervene.

 Guy's POV:

I've been fighting this wrathful powerhouse, and I must say that she really packs a punch in her blows. She is not Veldanava's child for nothing. That Blade, she summoned, called Tenma, is absurdly strong. Not only is it a mythical grade weapon, but she also infuses it with that strange energy of hers.

My ultimate skill"Prideful King:Lucifer " was able to copy her "Wrathful King: Satanael", but I wasn't able to get the skill that produced the strange energy. If I got that, I would've been able to defeat her easily.

The subskill {Stampede} blinds the user in extreme rage whilst converting that rage to produce more power for the user and the skill named {Magicule Breeder Reactor} absorbs magicules at an insane rate whilst converting it into that energy called Stardust.

And the fact that when using magic or skills whilst fighting makes you to release magicules out of your body unconsciously means that, the more she wastes, the more she gains making it seem like she can generate energy for fighting infinitely when I'm

wasting my magicules.

The thought of fighting someone able to fight forever without fatigue is kinda scary. Only mental exhaustion can work on her, but as of now, she is not even using her mind to fight, making a plan like that useless in my case. Once again, DAMN YOU VELDANAVA!!!

The Stardusr energy is more potent than any energy I've seen before, and she also infuses it with her attacks, and and heck, she even possesses a barrier made up of that energy.

I don't see me winning in this battle, but I can fight evenly with her. Who knows what would've happened if she had a calculation based skill that allowed her to fight at a precise level. I don't even want to think about it.

 3rd POV:

As the battle continues, more and more destruction follows. The once prosperous lands of Sarion now leveled to the ground. The peaceful nation of Nasca, clouded in chaos and the dwelling place of the giants, reduced to nothing but a barren desert, but the destructive battle is still far from over.

It only continues to get worse as the world's axis began to shift, and there was an immediate change in climate. Dark clouds began to form in the sky, and then, it started to rain. Thunder struck the earth with speeds, easily surpassing that of sound and destroyed anything unlucky enough to meet its fury.

Earthquakes began to split the lands where the thunder had struck and swallowed everything nearby. Hurricanes strong enough to devour buildings and trees were formed and began to cause their own havoc. It was as if the world was fed up with everyone in it and began to punish the wicked ones for their evil deeds. And it was only the beginning of it.

Back to the battlefield, you can see a red-haired man with a slightly androgynous look engaging in an all-out battle with a pink haired girl whose face was distorted in unbridled rage. The fight was on a standstill as none of them had managed to gain the upper hand on the other.

One was calculative and quick and used various strategies to catch the other off guard, aiming for a decisive victory whilst the latter used pure strength and destructive assaults to overwhelm the other to face a crushing defeat. These individuals were known as the lord of darkness, Guy Crimson, and the other was called the daughter of God, Milim Nava.

Guy and Milim clashed with speeds that one could not follow and exchanged millions of blows in mere seconds. Milim dashed towards Guy at a breakneck speed, attempting to slash him with her sword but was met with a fist aimed at her back as he had already appeared behind her.

She immediately parried the blow with her sword and decapitated his wrist off, but he immediately regenerated it back to face her.

They then crossed swords with each other, showcasing excellent swordsmanship and control before Guy used Dark Magic: Death Streak against her whilst departing to avoid collateral damage But to his shock, she just slapped the attack away using her spiritrons coated hands as if it was just another everyday problem.

He decided to activate the art {Suspended World} as his last resort to end the whole charade, but once again, he became stupefied when she began to move by controlling the infons present and began her relentless barrage.

Realising that it was useless against her, he released the time stop and once again exchanged blows with her. Milim aimed to attack his head, but he ducked in time to deliver a shoulder toss by grabbing her arm. She quickly recovered and came back with a spinning heel aimed for his head again. This time, he blocked it with his arm, but the power behind the kick was too great, and he was sent to a nearby mountain, which was destroyed when he landed.

Without giving him a chance to recover, she used a large amount of stardust that could envelope a mountain and compress it to the size of a basket ball and finally release it. Thousands of energy beams were sent towards the destroyed mountain traveling at lightspeed and collided with the ground, creating a blast that could destroy the world if not maintained.

The barrier that Ramires, the spirit queen, had setup prevented it from damaging the area outside of the barrier, but several cracks began to appear on it, signifying that it was about to break soon.

Seeing this, she worried about the consequences that would stem from the barrier shattering. She had already exhausted her own magicule reserve, but the barrier kept on deteriorating till now. She then steeled herself and decided to absorb all the magicules inches barrier, hoping that Guy would end things quickly.

Milim thinking that Guy had died began to move towards the barrier in an attempt to break it but was hit with a nuclear strike magic that caught her off guard. She was still surrounded by the invisible barrier and was not hurt in the slightest. However, she became angry, seeing as the person would not give up.

She appeared behind him at a blinding speed and swang her blade near his head, trying to decapitate him, but he parried her sword with his own. A huge *clang* reverberates throughout the space within the barrier as it continues to go all out on each other.

Guy, realising that using magic would burden the barrier further decided to fight using swordsmanship instead as he was better at it. But Milim was thinking otherwise. She saw that the fight was going nowhere much to her annoyance and decided to use her trump card to end things once and for all.

Perhaps, realising what she was about to do, Guy immediately rushed to her, but she simply released her aura, pushing him back. Due to fighting for six days and six nights, Milims magicule reserves were astronomically high. Due to that, her aura was powerful enough to push Guy back and shatter the barrier. The magicules contained by the barrier began to spread out, causing chaos to ensue.

On top of that, Milim had gathered enough stardust for her attack and finally used her ultimate move, [Drago Nova]!.

(A/N:And that wraps up today's chapter. I wanted to tell you guys that I've had a problem when publishing my chapters. Anytime I release a new one, whenever I try to go back write another one, I find out that it has been erased😭😭😭 but being the smart ass that I am, I always copy the entire chapter before quitting from the app so that if it disappears, I can just paste it back 😎😎.

I need a permanent solution for it because if it continues, I don't know what'll happen when I forget to copy it 😱💀☠️.But if anyone has a solution to my problem, then please share your answer in the comment section so that I can make sure that it doesn't happen again.

I also apologise for any missing chapter of the story, and once I find a permanent cure, I will make sure to rearrange it. I also thank you for reading my imaginations.....pfft! Anyway, I like to think I did well in creating a fightscene. I mean, it's my first attempt if you exclude my previous chapter, and I have what I like to call the

"Author's Pride." So I'll like to see some ratings for the fighting part particularly. Rate from 1 to 10. I rate mine 7½/10. I'm not perfect, so don't judge me too much. Here's my question for the day. Don't think I forgot.

---------------------------------

Question: How many people know of Ciel's existence apart from Rimuru?

NB: Do not answer for those based on suspicion like Leon Velgrynd and Zalario but answer for people who are sure that there is another existence besides Rimuru. See Yah!

Next chapter will be updated first on this website. Come back and continue reading tomorrow, everyone!
