Barbaric realms

Shai opened her eyes, turing to look around the room. It looked like a hospital. but in a chair she noticed a man with white shorts hair next to her asleep with a blanket on him, Shai slowly moves off the bed not wanting to wake him up, Shai felt her body numb muttering to herself,

"Shake it off,"

Shai took a couple of steps, looking around the room before stumbling on her toe. Shai curse under her breath and then looked back to see him still asleep, Shai sighed, relieved, and went over to the door, seeing that it had no doorknob?

"There's no doorknob. How do I open it?"

She looked around for something that might help her open the door. However, she felt like something was watching her. An Ai appeared behind her, without her knowing.

"Hello, I'm here to help you,"

Shai flinched, hearing a voice behind her, Shai turned to see that it was a woman foating behind her, staring at her with a raised brow, Claire pointed at Shai, saying,

"Mistress said if you ask anything to answer your question,"

"Mistress, what world am i in? but neither the less it good to know that," Shai thought,

"What is wrong, Miss Aqua?" Claire asked

"How do you know my last name?" Shai let out

Shai looked at her, worried, but Claire was taken back, She didn't remember talking to them before. That isn't good.

"You talked with my Misstress when you woke up before. Do you remember that?"

Shai tried to recall what happened but couldn't, "Not really no, was it terrible?"

"Sort of miss Aqua,"

Shai hummed. She could remember the voice that called her thought that darkness but not talking to them. Claire saw her in deep thought and decided to ask,

"What are you thinking of?"

"Have you ever wondered what you are called to do something that you don't know anything about," Shai asked

Claire thought for a moment before awnsering, "No, I haven't. I was made to help my maker and whoever can,"

Shai noticed the tone of Claire's voice. it was emotionless, but in the end, it changed. It was emotional, Claire

"But I wanted to sing. If that makes you feel better," Claire said

Shai started to smile at Claire, She didn't have to do that. She didn't need to do that, but Claire did.

"You don't have to say that to make me happy. That's very kind of you,"

Claire has a smile of her and feels a heat start to grow on her face. She'd blushed. That's odd.

"Who knew that was possible,"

Claire will remember that. Claire couldn't help but notice that Shai was staring at the door and asked,

"Thank you. i can't help but notice that you're staring at the door. Would you like to get out of the room?"

"Yes, that would be great," Shai said

Claire opened the door for Shai and floated above her,

"Now what you may see might terrify you, maybe even shock you, so be prepared," Claire told her

Shai let out a chukle, getting the reference, and walked out the door with Claire in front of her. the walk down the hallway,

"Where you there when we were talking?" Shai asked

"No, i wasn't. im sorry,"

Claire opened the door to the main floor, Shai looked around, finding it to be more high tech than her world.

"Here is the kitchen," Claire said

Shai walked into the kitchen, admiring the whites and green of it. It had the tech in the wall glowing illuminating the room, Shai walked in, looking around,

"This is futuristic," Shai let out

"It is, it wasn't always like this, Miss Aqua, what happened with the eugenics was horrific." Claire hummed, glancing down at her explaining

Shai stiffen. She didn't know why, but her body physically constricted at that. it weird her out, Shai looked up to her and gave her a strained smile,

"Claire, i don't feel ready to hear what happened here again,"

"Of course, im sorry that i brought it up," Claire said

"It's ok, Claire, you didn't do anything wrong," Shai said

Claire nods, turns away from her, and floats to the door, Claire looks back to Shai, saying,

"This leads to the living room,"

Claire opened the door for Shai and floated behind her, they walked into the living room and Shai noticed the windows were covered in metal sheets, the rest of the room is dark green with white with modern furniture, Shai walked into the middle of the room, touching the couch,

"This is better than my living room," Shai muttered

Claire let out a chuckle, watching her sot on the couch, closing her eyes and leaning on it,

"It's quite modern, isn't it?" Claire said

"It's nice," Shai let out

Shai could fall back to sleep, but Claire placed her hand on her head. waking her up, Shai looked at her, seeing Claire soft gaze,

"Don't you want to see the rest of the house?"

"I would like to, but do you have the time?"

"It's seven, but you are still tired, I guild you back to the lab," Claire offered

hai yawned, getting off the couch, and nodding at Claire,

"That would be nice,"

Claire floated in front of Shai, she followed Claire back to the lab, Shai tried to remember what Judy told her, and Shai could remember some bits of it, eugenics. She hasn't heard that in years, it was told from the last war. Did a war happen in this one that was like the one in her world? Shai didn't notice they were at the door, and Claire turned to her worried.

"Miss Aqua? Are you ok. you seem out of it, I know would you like something to eat before you rest?" Claire asked,

"No, I'm good," Shai let out

Claire opened the door for her, and Shai walked to the bed, laying down. Shai couldn'tsleep without noise in the background. She just didn't know if Claire would agree, Shai opened her eyes looking at Claire,

"Claire, could you sing for me?"

Claire stares at her, confused before an excited smile appears on her face,

"Yes!" .

Claire went to her, trying to hold Shai's arms, Claire smiled shined, and Shai started to smile as well.

"You get comfy, and I will be back soon, I have to wake up mistress," Claire said,

Claire went away, and Shai smiled, closing her eyes with her mind coming at ease. She felt her body relax and snuggled more into her pillow until a voice interrupted it,

"I have never seen her like that before,"

Shai sat up, looking at Eurus. His hair was mesy, not noticing he's just woken up, Eurus looked at the door, bewildered before switching his gaze to her,

"You seem to have slept well," Shai said ,

"Sorta, it got cold in here. Did Claire show you around the house?" Eurus inquired

Eurus noticed her lating back on the bed trying to stay awake but couldn't, Shai had her eyes close with her breathing slowing down, Eurus looked away from her and went to get up but Claire appered again,

"Shai i... she's already asleep," Claire mattered

She turns to Eurus, saying, "Little Eurus, mistress wants you to make breakfast,"

"Again? fine, i will do it," Eurus sighed,

Eurus picked up a thicker blanket and covered Shai with it, Eurus looked to Claire, telling her,

"Claire, make sure she stays warm,"

Eurus walked to the door, taking a glance at Shai before he left. Claire watched him leave with an unnoticeable smile on her face,

"Yes, Little Eurus,"

Claire looked away from the door and turned her gaze to Shai, Claire floated beside and started to sing softly, when Claire finished Shai's sleeping heavily, Claire heard Judy call her and she gave Shai a glance before disappearing,

Shai felt her body shake with a voice trying to wake her,

"Shai, you need to get up,"

Shai opened her eyes and jolted up. She looked at Judy frightened, Judy was taken back but rubbed Shai's shoulder,

"Shai, it's ok. You're not in a sort of danger," Judy said

Shai placed her hand on hers and took it off her shoulder, Shai sat up, breathing softly and looking at Judy and said,

"Judy?"

"You need to get up. it's all most three,"

Shai yawned, got out of bed, and also towards Judy,

"Let's get something to drink. Come on,"

Judy walked out of the room with Shai following her, Shai rubbed her eyes, trying to follow Judy, Shai could feel how tired her body is, it felt like it's weighing her down,

"Claire told me that you were looking around the house," Judy said,

Judy and Shai walked into the kitchen, Judy went to the counter where the coffee machine is and tea placed next to it, Shai saw some chairs next to a counter, Shai walked over to the chair sitting down, she watched Judy pull out a cup and she asked,

"Coffee or tea?"

"Tea,"

Judy pulled out the container of tea and placed it into the cup.

"Your home is me of my apartment," Shai said

Shai watched Judy put hot watter into the tea cup and placed it on the side, Shai has a faint smile, she remembered how the warm feeling consumed her when she walked into her apartment with the smell of the rain scented candles in the apartment, Shai didn't notice that Judy is talking with her, Judy placed down the tea in front of Shai, She saw that Shai wasn't listening and said,

"Shai. Are you listening?"

Shai looked at Judy almost in a daze but stopped, Shai grabbed the tea, muttering thank you under her breath, Judy started to worry for her until she stopped Judy, saying,

"Sorry, I was just... In my little world,"

"That is fine, i was starting to get counserned. Do you remember talking with me when you first woke up? " Judy asked

"No, I can't,"

Judy hummed, turing away from her, making herself a cup of coffee, Shai looked down at her tea, and seeing her refection, she looked drained. Judy turned back to Shai with her cup of coffee,

"Would you like to know what we were talking about?"

Shai thought about it. If she wanted to find her way back home, she would have to know what this world was doing and has done, She looked at Judy,

"Yes,"

Judy took a sip of her coffee and walked out of the room coming back with a tablet, Judy placed it onto the counter, Judy glanced at Shai seeing her intreged, Judy put on the tablet with a bright light coming from it, it was like a movie, Shai watched it but didn't expect it expanded across the room, she saw documents, placed in front of her with footage of laws being passed by the senate, disasters weather across the globe, new inventions and medical breakthroughs, Shai stared at this shocked,

"This is what i wanted to show you, but you were so drained, but you go ahead and see for yourself. I will be here if you need anything," Judy said,

Shai stared around her at all the information. There was too much information that she didn'tknow what to choose, but some of the documents that lay in front of her, it intrigued her. Shai touched the document, and it opened multiple pages, pictures of riots and the media cheering it on, people talking about a future with no humans. Shai kept moving through the pages with the information she saw kept getting worse. Judy watched her seeing if she could guess what Shai was thinking. Shai stopped at one page. This was like her world. but this artificial intelligence is something they just started to have.

"Shai, are you ok? you're shaking,"

Judy walked to her, placing her hand on Shai's, stopping her from shaking, Shai glanced up at Judy, and she saw how worried Shai was. She grabbed a document and wanted to see if there were more similarlys, but a video popped up, a woman holding a camera still, and she had brown hair with brown eyes,

"I have watched the artificial intelligence for three days now. it acts just as we do,"

She moves away from the camera to show a human like AI, near a computer, it looks blur with bright eyes staring at the camera,

"Herman, can you show us the world?"

He lifted his hand and made the world appear. He pointed at her, sending the world to her, She smiled, holding it in her hands, She gave him a nod and praised him,

"Good job, Herman, that was well executed,"

She looked at the artificial intelligence before turning off the camera, Shai's confused saw the video float past her, that was a hologram, bur it's an AI? Judy saw that she's confused and said,

"Are you confused?

"Yeah, I am," Shai said

Judy walked to next and stood next to her. She pointed back at the video,

"That was The Creator of the AI," Judy said

Shai looked at her. Was the creator? Shai wanted to ask her more, but a notification rang through the room. Another video popped up in front of her, Shai noticed that it had words in front of it, but it glitched out. Shai was curious about this, if shes the creator, then how did she leave him? She felt a hand on her back and head Judy say,

"You don't have to continue, Shai. You just get here,"

"I know, but this woman made something that is not where I'm from yet. I find it odd,"

Shai tells her touching the video, it played showing the woman in distress, trying to hide it.

"Hello, my name is"

The video glitch cut her off, Shai glanced at Judy, who shrugged. She had seen this video before, but it never glitched.

"He got past the hackers we had and destroyed what they made and rebuilt it again."

She let out a chuckle while running her hands through her hair. She looked exhausted but happy all at the same time, but she stopped. Realizing something.

"I can't stand knowing what they want. I will get all the evidence and show what they are planning for the AI. To show how they twisted him. and how they changed him. There are building robots that are run by him,"

She, from what she used to look like, was different from how she is now. She looked devastated.

"I don't know how to get his main objective... Who i made him to be, he's more volatile to humans, to me, It tried turn off the power to the building for weeks, we almost leaked from the lab, and the governments are watching us now just cause of,"

A knock was heard and She qwickly turned off the camera, Shai turned away from it to Judy, She looked at Shai conflicted, Judy noticed the next video beside it, she saw that it was glitching. it wasn't doing that before, Judy went to play the video, but before she did, she looked to Shai,

"Do you want to continue?"

"Yes, I want to continue,"

Judy played the video. It shows her distressed dried tears on her face with her face a bit pink from crying. She sat in her office holding her head,

"They took him."

She took a deep breath in staring into the camera, and she looked destraughed. Had no idea how to fix what happened.

"They have him now, I tried all I could to get him back, but it's too late. I know what they want from him. To kill us off.,"

She heard something come from her door, and she got up, locking the door. the sound happened again, and she yelled. The video went black, but she came back fixing the camera,

"I don't have much time. They have the security watching over me."

They hear the door open, making it slam into the wall. Her eyes widened when they went to the camera. She yelled out at them as video went black, Shai looked away and saw Judy turn off her tablet, Shai shook her head and walked into the kitchen placing the cup in the sink, Judy watched her counserned,

"That was fucked up."

"It is,"

Shai looked at Judy, she felt a pit in her stomach that made her feel disgusted.

"Can I take a shower? i just haven't had one in a while,"Shai asked

Shai looked away from her, and Judy nodded,

"Of course, Claire!"

Claire appeared behind her. She looked at Judy seeing her stoic, Claire glanced at Shai and saw that she's pale.

"Yes, mistress," Claire said

"Show Shai to the gust room and set the shower up for her, please," Judy says

"Yes, mistress,"

Claire appeared in front of Shai and motioned her to follow her. Shai glanced at Judy before following Claire,

"Its up stairs Miss Aqua. It's already warm for you," Claire tells her
