Chapter 3: Maybe I'm Full of Demons, Or Maybe I'm All Divine 3

/// Alternative Title: A Little Concert.

"Ozpin." Locus seemingly appeared from thin air. Qrow draws his weapon, and it goes into its sword form. Ironwood has a hand on his gun. Glynda draws her BDSM weapon, which is a riding crop.

"Jet, why have you come here?" Ozpin asked as he tightly gripped his cane.

"That name no longer suits me. I abandoned it long ago. I'm merely here to give you information on the plans of Salem." Locus threw a USB chip and Qrow caught it.

After a bit of tinkering. "It's clean Ozpin. No viruses or anything harmful." Qrow hands the chip to Ozpin, who slips into his scroll and reads the contents.

"Is this some sort of apology?" Ozpin asked.

"Is it?" Locus tilted her head.

Ironwood walks toward Locus. "Is there any part of my... friend still in there?" Ironwood points his gun at Locus.

"I... Don't know." Locus's voice sounded strained as she said that.

Locus gazes deeply at Qrow and her eyes convey a deep affection. Qrow frowned as he saw the obvious sign of affection.

"It's been a while," Locus said with a smile hidden behind her helmet. Instead of the usual machine-like voice, the people in the room could hear the longing in her voice.

"I guess it has," Qrow smirked.

"Yeah..." Locus sighed.

"You know her, Qrow?" Glynda frowned.

"Yeah, we had a bit of... Mutually beneficial stress relief nights. Haven't seen her in 17 years though, merely heard rumors here and there about some seriously scary badasses." Qrow sipped from his canteen.

"Just trying to make the world a bit better the only way I know how." Locus sighed as she sat in a chair near Qrow.

"By killing people..." Glynda frowned.

"I am a soldier without borders. However, I have my own set of morals, and I don't target civilians. My war with the White Fang is bloody as ever, but it's hidden from the public eye." Locus took off her helmet and her forest green eyes didn't have any light in them, not in the sense that she's blind though.

Qrow drank heavily from his canteen and hid his crotch, which was tightening his pants by crossing a leg over it. The forest green eyes, pitch black hair, and pale skin were very attractive despite her being 38 years old this year. Even her scars added a sort of Amazonian beauty to her face. She had that ever-present dreamy look on her face, making Qrow swallow. The small smile made Qrow want to groan.

"There's no stopping the plans. But Project Freelancer will not participate in the fall of Vale. That damn brat was insane enough to plant bombs around the city, a fucking terrorist!" Locus punched the metal table hard and made a fist-sized dent in it as she growled menacingly.

"You shouldn't place your trust in Salem's agents. You found that out the hard way, it would seem." Ozpin sighed as he drank some hot coco.

"Indeed, I did. I beat that brat senseless for the shit she pulled. We are not terrorists. The Train was aimed at stockpiled supplies of Vale and away from civilians. But that brat ruined my efforts. My attack was merely to disable Vale's dust supply in a controlled manner. I replaced the supplies discreetly, though, as I do not agree with these plans." Locus sighed as she took the Canteen from Qrow and drank heavily until it was empty.

"I am grateful you are still the same in some ways I suppose." Ozpin smiled as he sipped his hot coco.

"I will always be on the side of humanity, even if our methods differ." Locus started sending messages on her scroll to her Freelancers.

"More importantly, why did you harm my niece so gravely?" Qrow growled out.

"All my attacks were intended to wound. all shots were designed to intimidate. Let me assure you, Qrow, my attacks on team RWBY and the professors were calculated, choreographed and designed to make sure they were intact and whole and make it out alive. If I wanted to... They would be dead already." Locus spoke grimly.

"Was it necessary to say that last bit?" Qrow shakily tasted the last drop of alcohol from his canteen. Hearing Locus say that she could kill them without effort in such a tone of voice was fucking terrifying.

"it's supposed to make you understand." Locus put her helmet back on and the voice filter only added to her presence and made her voice unnerving.

Locus gets up and leaves by vanishing into thin air.

'The Project is a failure... I stopped at Epsilon, knowing full well that it would harm Washington. The Agents... They are real breathing living human beings... I may have summoned them as young teens but that doesn't mean I'm going to just fuck them over like Leonard. Fragments were a failure, despite me not being Church the result was the same. Time to start PROJECT: Lazarus. It will... It must work!' Locus/Jet/Vanessa's thoughts were both coherent and chaotic.

Locus arrived at the music room once she snapped out of her thoughts and figured, why not? She walked into the room toward a piano and tested all the keys before sitting on the bench.

"It's been many years, but I think it goes like this..." Locus played the song Mercy by HalaCG and Chira but a piano version. Weiss spying on her thinking she was sneaky not realizing Locus already noticed her was enraptured. But what could a child do to her? You might as well put on a little concert as long as it's only for a few people.

Locus took off her helmet and replayed the piano again, this time with vocals, since she finally remembered all the keys. Blake came along and was about to tell Weiss to stay away from the monster, but she paused when she heard the lyrics.

"Not interested in, a legacy. It's my words you should heed." Locus moved onto the oooo to express her feelings of sadness.

"I'll show no mercy; you'll see no mercy from me. The rules and roles of war are fixed repeat and repeat I have seen Countless names erased too cruelly too quick." The song was about a war is what Weiss and Blake thought and it made sense to the two teens since the person singing is a soldier.
