Chapter 1: Death(1)
As I lay down in my bed, blowing into my last tissue. I cry as I finally lost everything in my life and my reason to live. First, my entire family died in a car crash due to a drunk driver driving in a snowstorm, yet I somehow survived, even if I was just a newborn. I truly hated life and destiny, even when I was barely a newborn. Luckily for me, there was another car that was driving behind us, the driver quickly rescued me and took me to a nearby hospital.
The driver who took me was someone who barely became a father with a newborn son, but also became a widow. The father was also someone nice enough to adopt me as I had no other relatives, becoming a father of two, something that quite troubled him as we got older. As I got older, I realized why he adopted me. He's a man to act first and think about the consequences later. His son also... carried this trait.
Although he was not home during most parts of my life as he was a soldier, his mother, or my grandmother, took care of me and my brother. I loved my grandmother very much as she was the nicest grandmother I know. Compared to my friends' grandmothers, mine loved to cook, spoil me and my brother, and knit clothes.
My favorite moments with her were baking and cooking food. Though my brother also tried to cook with us but was just an absolutely terrible cook, most of the food he made was either undercooked or burnt.
I was devastated when my grandmother and father died, hell I even cursed the gods, fate, destiny, or whatever for taking them away. Those two moments hit me hard and I became very depressed, but my brother was always there for me. But when I heard that he died from a truck crashing into his room, on the third floor, I froze when I got the phone call about my brother's death.
I immediately told my teacher what happened and asked if I could go back to America since I'm currently in Japan. He agreed and I booked a flight back home.
As I was laying in bed, about to go to bed as my flight was early in the morning. I heard a truck honking before seeing the wall to my room break apart with a flaming truck heading directly at me.
The next thing I see is nothing, it's all pure black no matter what direction I look.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA." Out of nowhere, I hear some kind of laughter that echoes all around me. No matter where I look, I see nothing, only hearing laughter that gets louder and louder each second.
I try to cover my ears, hoping that it can block some sound, but it does nothing.
"You foolish mortal, You lived a decent life yet, life kept taking your loved ones away. How does it feel to be so powerless? So weak that you can not do anything at all. You should be happy that I killed you for my amusement." The unknown being was laughing at me, admitting that he killed me just for amusement.
I was about to say something but the being just interrupted me.
"Anyway, enough laughing at your life. You can call me ROB, like the others before called me. But I'm different from those other ROB's. You don't get any wishes or choices to get reincarnated. Do you know how many Otakus and Weebs interrupt me as soon as I talk? They always ask for the same things. Systems, primordial bloodlines, OP Power, to be reincarnated in some type of anime." The unknown being appears to be tired of hearing the same thing every time, she hears it in his voice, just annoyance and tiredness.
But when the being started talking again, the tone shifted to happiness.
"Do you know how happy I was, when they realized that I was not going to grant any of their wishes? Their faces showed shock and anger. But when I told them that I was going to reincarnate, their hopes grew. But I crushed their hope by telling them that they would become a weak little fish or a small and weak monster. I laughed each time at their despair, hell most didn't even survive for a day and I'm going to do the same to you."
The unknown being started to laugh again, recalling the moments of their despair.
"So bye bye and enjoy being a weak little blob in a world filled with powerful beasts and cultivators, Oh, and one last thing, You get no special powers at all." I didn't even get a chance to process what the being was saying before a blood-red portal opened beside me and a blood-red hand that was bigger than a mountain appeared out of nowhere and pushed me into the portal.
