Begin Again In Marvel

POV Rio

I had done all my preparations and was ready to begin the Trial. I made sure I had everything I could need. I also got confirmation on what I could and could not use. I can use spells and Shouts. I cannot use Ki, Aura, or Chakra Techniques. Even if I use Mana for the techniques. I was also not allowed to raise the dead, summon creatures, or use advanced Teleportation. I was not allowed to use special weapons and my physical attributes would be reduced slightly to make me fit better with the world. So no Nth metal weapons or my Crystal Armor. I was also not allowed to switch my forms while in the Trial. Thus I decided to go with a full set of Ebony Armor and a Sword. I also have a bow with the Infinity Enchantment. The Armor was enchanted to fortify my Health and Stamina regeneration. I decided to go in a winged human to allow me to fly without the use of a spell. Since the Flight spell was fairly slow. Lastly, I had 5 Senzu Beans, 6 Maxim Tomatoes, a month's worth of Lembas Bread, and my usual accessories.

'Okay let's do this.'

I enter the trial and the first thing I notice is that I am in a forest. A very old forest. It only takes a few seconds for me to sense something nearby. I look and see an Ent approaching.

Treebeard: "What brings the friend of the forest here?"

I pause for a second and remember Hetsu's Gift.

Rio: "I have come here because I am needed. Sauron moves to take over the world. I am needed here to stop him. What of the Ents will they stand and watch as Sauron conquers the world?"

Treebeard: "We Ents have not fought in the wars of man and elves for a long time. We have no reason to fight."

Rio: "Perhaps, or perhaps not. Time will show who is right."

A disturbance in the distance stops our conversation. The forest cries in pain.

Treebeard: "I must go. Trouble in the woods has arrived."

I wave to him as he goes to investigate. I use this time to scry the situation of the realm. I can't use the Palantir or else I could risk Sauron seeing through it as well. I was able to understand when I was.

'Treebeard will be getting the Merry and Pippin. The battle of Helms Deep will be happening soon. I will need to make sure everything doesn't get messed up. Saruman will need to be crushed once he sends his army. I will need to remove that snake once he leaves Rohan. Then eliminate the Warg Riders just in case.'

Just as I think that I hear someone speaking.

Treebeard: "The wizard will know."

???: "The wizard?"

They are dropped at my feet and I smile at Treebeard.

Rio: "I see you found some of my old travel companions."

Treebeard: "So they are not little Orcs?"

Rio: "No they are Hobbits."

Merry: "You! But we thought you died. We heard a great explosion and then silence."

Pippin: "Yeah, Gandalf said that it felt as if you had disappeared."

Rio: "My death was... greatly exaggerated."

Merry: "Wait where did you get the wings?"

Pippin: "Woah, can you fly with them?"

Rio: "Not important and yes. Now before we get off track it's time for you two to get going."

I whisper in their ears.

Rio: "Convince the Ents to fight Saruman. I have many things I must do and little time to do it. I will stay here to talk with him but when I leave it will be up to you two to continue."

They both nod and I start the long conversation of trying to convince Treebeard to fight. All I manage to do is convince him to take Merry and Pippin to a safe place before he calls for a meeting of the Ents.

'Man this guy is worse than Paarthunax. He just keeps talking and talking.'

Rio: "Ah look at the time. I need to get going. Can you have another Ent let Gandalf the Grey know that Merry and Pippin are all right? They will come here tomorrow."

Treebeard: "I will have a friend of mine let the wizard know."

Rio: "Thank you. Now you two be safe I shall see you soon."

I take flight and move to get to my first stop today. Shelobs cave. I wanted to make sure Frodo's journey is as safe as it can feasibly be. Mostly, because I wasn't 100% certain I could resist the Ring. I seem to recall that the stronger the being the less likely they will be able to resist the Ring.

'Well, time to explore a dark spider nest where a spider the size of a house lives. I sometimes hate my job. At least I can use its looks as a visual for a prank later. Yeah, look at the bright side.'

I enter the cave and use my Stealth skills to the max and eventually find Shelob. She is waiting on the ceiling of the largest cavern. I shiver with disgust just looking at her.

'Namira would love her. Now let's burn this thing.'

Rio: "Triplet Maximize Magic Vermin Bane!"

SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I start yelling as well and spam the spell over and over again. The spell is cheap to cast in the first place so it is nearly free to cast. Still, I should have stopped casting around the 30th time. Shelob stopped twitching around the 10th cast. Just in case I use the poking test. I grabbed a stick.

Poke Poke

'Yep, it's dead.'

I stored the corpse in my inventory and knew I was going to have nightmares about that later. When I left the cave I was able to tell that the next thing on my list was about to happen. Grima had just been cast out and unlike the idiots, I wasn't going to let him get to Saruman. I intercepted him before he made it halfway and I used Dominate Person. Once I got everything I could from him I cut his head off and disintegrated the body. Then it was time to return to the Ents and start talking with them again.

'Oh joy.'

Many Hours Later...

'I want to bash my head into a wall. This is getting nowhere. I showed them a scene of what was happening but they didn't believe it. Now I have to go to Helms Deep and hope that the Ent I told to go look for themselves will report what they saw to Treebeard.'

I fly to Helms Deep and seem to arrive right after the Elves arrive but just before the Orcs. I land and start walking up to the gate.

Guard: "Halt who goes there!?"

Rio: "Rio Magus friend of Aragorn."

Aragorn: "Rio!? Is that truly you? I thought you dead. Come inside quickly. Saruman's army approaches. We could use a magic user."

The doors open and I walk in and quickly make my way to the walls.

Gimli: "Haha, you damn wizard. I knew you would die so easily."

I get hugs from everyone but then Legolas mentions something the others hadn't noticed.

Legolas: "Why do you have wings?"

Rio: "I always had them I just didn't bring them out before. Now I need an area of the wall where I can use a spell. It should deal with our enemies, especially with the weather on my side."

Théoden: "And who pray tell are you?"

Rio: "I am Rio Magus. I have come to save the people of Rohan. All I ask in exchange is that you assist me in the near future."

Théoden: "If you speak the truth then I will repay my debt."

Rio: "Good now I will set up the spell but for this to work I need everyone to stay away from me or else they may get disintegrated."

I set up right above the gate and started forming a shield spell that should protect the people inside the walls from any backlash of this spell. As I finish the Shield Spell the Uruk-hai approach the outskirts of the fort. Then I move to cast my next spell as it starts raining and the Uruk-hai do their shouting match. Once the first arrow is loosed I cast my spell.

BOOOOM

With a massive crack of lightning, my spell is released. A massive beam of pure lightning is unleashed and starts vaporizing the enemy army.

Rio: "POWER! UNLIMITED POWER!!!!!!!!!!!"

As I am unleashing my spell everyone has to shield their eyes from the light produced. After a few minutes of casting, I stopped as even my eyes were becoming bothered. Once I did stop I saw what was left. A few dozen Uruk-hai and thousands of metal weapons and armor. And lots of ashpiles.

'Damn, that did even better than I thought.'

I make sure to finish off the last few remaining Uruk-hai with my Bow so none can report what happened. Once I do that I use Similo Duplexis to create a copy of myself that will go gather the armor and weapons while I talk with everyone about what just happened.

Gimli: "What in the bloody hell was that?! You damn near blinded me and I had cover to hide behind."

Rio: "Sorry about that. It was stronger than I thought it would be. But don't worry I will be healing everyone before I leave."

Aragorn: "Leave? Where are you going?"

Rio: "Saruman needs to be stopped and I will fly there. The Ents will attack soon, and I need to ensure none perish in the fight. When Gandalf arrives tell him to come to Isengard. As for you Théoden, I need you to lead your men back to Edoras. The battle for Middle Earth approaches and every able-bodied man will be called upon to fight."

Théoden: "You kept your word. And with magic like yours, I will gladly join you in your quest."

I nod and start healing everyone that needs healing. Once that is done I fly back to the Ents and they have finally agreed to fight after an Ent returned with word of what happened to the forest and Sarumans betrayal. Now all that was left was to begin our attack. I cast a shield spell on all the Ents so that the Orcs would be unable to kill the Ents. The Ents started to run towards Isengard while I went to confront Saruman.

Saruman: "So Rio the Fool comes to his death."

Rio: "Two can play at this game Saruman the White. Or should I say Saruman the Stupid?"

Saruman: "What?"

Rio: "Saruma the Silly."

Saruman: "Stop that."

Rio: "Saruma the Wrinkly."

Saruman: "Stop."

Rio: "Saruman the STINKY!!!"

I use a bit of the Thu'um to make Saruman go flying.

Saruman: "Nooo!"

As he is trying to recover I rush him and put Dimeterium Cuffs on him. It makes him falter greatly.

Saruman: "What sorcery is this?"

Rio: "Wow, you sound really similar to my father. What a Coinky Dink World. Now please stay here while I destroy the remaining forces here."

Saruman tries to move but I cast a burden spell on him and he faces plants on the ground and struggles to move. I roll him over so he doesn't suffocate. Then I start cleaning up any remaining survivors. The Dam was released and much was flooded a few Orcs tried to run away and return to Sauron but I made sure they didn't escape.

I was not expecting this to take 2 chapters but it ended up going on for over 6k words so I needed to split up the chapters. The next chapter will be about battle preparations for the battle of Middle Earth. Until next time Ciao.
