Chapter 9: Chapter 9 Deserved to be Kicked
"I'm not drunk." Knowing that Jun Moyan was angry, the drunkard got up from the ground and staggered toward the sofa.
Although he was still unsteady, he managed to not fall and firmly sat down on the sofa.
"Since you're not drunk, go save it right now." Jun Moyan's face was frighteningly grim, even more terrifying than when he killed enemies in the forest.
The drunkard looked up and glanced at the fuzzy thing on the table, blinking, slightly confused.
Then he looked at Jun Moyan and fearlessly said,
"Are you sick?"
Seeing that Jun Moyan was about to explode, the drunkard quickly said, "Okay, okay, okay, I'll save it right away."
He waved his hand at Qing Yi and said, "Green one, bring me my medical kit."
Qing Yi was frustrated; it seemed he really was drunk.
He bent down to pick up the medical kit that Qing Yi had placed on the ground and handed it to the drunkard.
While examining the cat's wounds, the drunkard looked up at Qing Yi, chuckled, and said, "Ah, it's the white one, I thought it was green."
Ignoring everyone's speechless expressions, he continued to check the cat's injuries.
It was a while before he said, "It's hopeless, too much blood loss, and besides this wound, there are severe internal injuries. Who could be so cruel to not spare even a newly born cat?"
Hearing this, Jun Moyan's heart sank heavily, and he frowned, "You're not going to try to save it?"
"I mean, Mr. Jun, is this the first day you've met me? I said it's hopeless, what's the point in resuscitating? To let it suffer for a couple more hours? It would only increase its pain, better I finish it off now and spare it the torment."
As the drunkard spoke, a cold gleam flashed from his sleeve, and he suddenly held a sharp scalpel.
Just as the raised scalpel was about to fall, Jun Moyan kicked the drunkard to the far end of the sofa.
Qing Yi tensed up, stepping forward instinctively, but due to Jun Moyan, he ultimately resisted the urge to help the drunkard.
"...Damn, cough, cough... Jun, you're kicking me over a dying cat?"
The drunkard lay on the sofa, one hand covering his painful chest, "Cough, cough, did you eat gunpowder? My lungs are about to be kicked out."
Jun Moyan looked at the howling drunkard on the sofa, and then at the motionless cat on the table, feeling somewhat irritable,
"Take him back."
"Yes."
Qing Yi quickly dropped the towel in his hand and helped the drunkard up from the sofa: "That's what you get for running your mouth and being nosy, kicked, right?"
"Damn, it's obviously you guys who dragged me out of bed in the middle of the night and gave me a pointless task to save a cat, and now you're kicking me."
"Enough, just shut up."
Qing Yi gave Wen Xiao'ai a look, and Wen Xiao'ai nodded, indicating he had the situation under control.
Only then did Qing Yi feel assured as he supported the drunkard to leave...
"Third Master, what should we do with this cat?" Wen Xiao'ai stepped forward.
Jun Moyan looked at the cat; his lips tightened slightly, his eyes darkened.
After a long while, he finally said, "Find a place with good feng shui and bury it."
Since the drunkard said it was hopeless, then it must be true.
"Alright."
"Wait." suddenly, Jun Moyan changed his mind, "Bury it in the backyard instead."
"This... Third Master, there are some taboos, might it not be good?"
"Do as I said."
After Jun Moyan finished speaking, he turned and went upstairs.
Wen Xiao'ai's consciousness gradually faded, and in a daze, she only heard the footsteps of that man going up the stairs.
She wanted to follow his steps, to draw on the strange energy from his body to relieve her pain, but she simply had no strength.
