One week Later.

Nero, strode through the dimly lit, abandoned hallways of the royal palace, his footsteps silent as the light bent around him, rendering him invisible to anyone who might cross his path.

His destination ahead: the master bedroom, where Augustus Kira Clover XIII indulged in his usual debauchery.

Nero pushed the door open, stepping inside.

The sight made his lip curl in disdain. Augustus, bloated and pitiful, lounged on the grand bed, surrounded by members of his so-called "harem."

Their laughter grated on Nero's ears.

To Nero, the entire display was pathetic.

The women surrounding Augustus weren't there for love.

All were motivated by greed, lured by the wealth and power of the kingdom.

Nero knew the truth—many of them were unfaithful, sneaking off to the arms of palace guards or other suitors hell some tried to be with him.

Gross...

Augustus, oblivious, basked in their false affections like a fool.

Nero stood for a moment, watching in silence.

The stench of decadence filled the room, making him scrunch his nose in disgust.

Quietly, he muttered to himself, "If you weren't pure in bloodline, I wouldn't have touched you even with a ten-foot pole."

He stepped forward.

The light around him unraveled, revealing his presence like a specter.

Augustus turned, his face twisting in confusion and fear as Nero approached.

"W-who are you—?" Augustus' words caught in his throat as Nero grabbed him by the neck.

His fingers dug into the man's flesh with an iron grip, lifting him effortlessly off the bed.

Augustus struggled, his eyes bulging, but Nero was unmoved.

Blue lines of energy pulsed from Nero's hands, snaking through Augustus' body.

It was to be noted that Augustus, like Nero, bore a four-leaf clover and belonged to the Kira line.

This meant he carried a degree of purity in his Quincy bloodline, a fact that made him marginally useful up until now alpmgside the obvious fact he wqs the perfect puppet.

But that usefulness will now redeem itself.

"I don't have a use for you anymore," Nero said coldly.

The lines of energy surged, and Augustus' body began to swell grotesquely, his form ballooning out as his screams turned to gurgles.

In seconds, he popped like an overinflated bubble.

There was no blood. Instead, Augustus' body dissolved into pure energy.

Half of it flowed into Nero, absorbed seamlessly into the glowing orb of the Hōgyoku crystallized within his chest.

The other half of Augustus' torso remained, grotesquely mutilated and lifeless, left behind as evidence of his death.

The harem members screamed, their panic erupting into chaos.

Nero ignored them at first, turning his gaze toward the remains of Augustus.

Then, he turned his attention to the women.

Their screams grated on his nerves, a mix of fear and confusion.

Nero pulled a small device from his robe, an invention of his own design—a compact, enchanted tool crafted with both science and magic in mind.

A dirext inspiration from Stephen Strange.

He activated it with a flick of his thumb.

A wave of energy rippled outward, invisible but all-encompassing.

The women's screams faltered as their memories, identities, and very existence unraveled.

The spell had been yeqrs in the making under multiple developers who had no idea what they were making , a universal enchantment inspired by a certain tale of memory manipulation and carefully engineered to be foolproof.

As the wave subsided, silence returned.

The harem members were gone, their existence wiped clean from reality itself.

Nero tucked the device back into his robe and glanced around the now-empty room.

His work here was done.

Without a word, he turned and left, his steps echoing faintly in the palace halls.

Augustus was gone.

His harem erased.

---

The next day, chaos erupted within the kingdom.

The lifeless body of Augustus Kira Clover XIII was discovered in his chambers, or what was left of it.

His grotesque remains sent waves of panic rippling through the palace staff, the nobility, and the common folk alike.

Whispers of assassination and treachery spread like wildfire, and the kingdom was thrown into a state of unrest.

At the same time, the nobles met in secret.

Despite their outward panic, many among the nobility viewed the king's death as an opportunity—a chance to restructure power.

After hours of deliberation, arguments, and subtle power plays, they reached a unanimous decision: Nero Kira would ascend to the throne.

Nero's name had been brought up for several reasons.

Though a rogue element by nature, his strength was undeniable, and his reputation among the upper noble circles was unexpectedly favorable.

He had cultivated respect, even admiration, for his unyielding will and sheer power.

To many, he was the only one capable of stabilizing the kingdom during such uncertain times, He was also the only worthy member of the three royal clans.

When word reached Nero, he regarded the development with a flicker of amusement hidden beneath his cold exterior.

He had orchestrated Augustus' death with precision, but he hadn't anticipated such swift support from the nobles.

Their desperation to cling to power worked in his favor.

A king needs his Kingdom after all...

---

The Black Bulls headquarters was as lively and chaotic as ever.

None of its members had the faintest idea of the upheaval in the outside world, especially with Captain Yami having left at dawn when most were still in bed.

Inside, Asta and Noelle sat at the breakfast table, enjoying their meal while Charmy, as enthusiastic as ever, served dish after dish with the help of her fluffy, cotton-magic sheep.

Nearby, Gordon sat alone, muttering unintelligibly as usual, his words lost to everyone but himself. Magna was in the middle of a loud argument, trying to reclaim his stolen bread from Luck, who was gleefully egging him on to settle it with a fight.

Venessa, still hungover, remained sprawled out on one of the couches, her glass of wine precariously close to tipping over.

It was just another morning at the Black Bulls—chaotic, loud, and utterly normal.

Until it wasn't.

Suddenly, a heavy magical presence descended on the headquarters, sending an electric chill through the air.

Every member froze, their instincts kicking in.

Before they could react, a brilliant beam of pure light shot down from the sky, landing with an explosive impact right in front of their base.

[Like the Bifrost]

The Black Bulls scrambled outside, each prepared for a fight. But instead of an enemy, they were greeted by a fiery figure standing tall amidst the dissipating light.

Mereoleona Vermillion stood before them, her crimson mane flowing like flames and her fiery aura radiating unrestrained power.

Her sharp eyes swept across the gathered group, and her intense gaze made Asta instinctively try to hide behind Noelle. But Noelle herself was frozen in fear for entirely different reasons.

"Asta," Mereoleona growled, her voice as fierce and commanding as her presence.

A flaming hand emerged from her magic, grabbing Asta by the head like a ragdoll.

"Come without a fuss brat. Your dad's about to be crowned the next King, but first, you need to attend that bastard's funeral."

The words sent a shockwave through the group. The silence that followed was almost deafening.

Everyone's memories suddenly snapped back into place—Asta, the loud, cheerful, and seemingly ordinary member of their squad, was in fact the son and sole heir of House Kira, one of the most powerful and noble bloodlines in the Clover Kingdom.

"Wait, what?! Asta's dad is—" Magna began, but he was cut off as Mereoleona's fiery grip tightened slightly, making Asta yelp.

Before she could leave with him, Mereoleona's eyes flicked to Noelle, who was trembling beside Asta.

With a smirk, she reached out and grabbed Noelle by the arm.

"You're coming too," she said bluntly. "The betrothed of the heir to House Kira has to attend as well."

"Be-betrothed?!" Noelle stammered, her face instantly turning a deep shade of red as the others stared at her, slack-jawed.

Mereoleona gave no further explanation and touched the medallion on her shoulder.

A pillar of blue light erupted around her, engulfing Asta and Noelle, and before anyone could react, they disappeared into the sky in another blinding beam of light.

The remaining Black Bulls stood in stunned silence, the shock of what just happened settling over them like a heavy cloud.

"Did she just say… Asta's dad is going to be King?!" Magna finally managed to shout.

"And Noelle's his betrothed?!" Venessa added, her eyes wide with excitement.

Gordon muttered something indecipherable, but no one was paying attention.

Charmy, on the other hand, blinked and then went back inside. "Guess we'll need to save some food for when they come back."

The rest of the group continued to process the bombshell that had just been dropped, their usual chaos now mixed with utter disbelief.

---

When the light faded, Asta, Noelle, and Mereoleona found themselves in the headquarters of the Soul Knights.

Before they could even process their surroundings, Barbara Gunnhilder practically bounced toward them, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Welcome, welcome!" she exclaimed, clapping her hands together.

"Let me be the first to introduce you to the marvel of modern magic and engineering—the Bifrost! Isn't it incredible?!" She gestured dramatically at the mechanical structure behind them. "And guess what? I was one of the brilliant minds who helped create it! It's powered by a unique combination of ancient rune magic and—"

Before she could launch into a full-blown explanation, Nelliel calmly placed a hand on Barbara's shoulder, her serene smile masking a firm intention. "Barbara, let's save the details for another time, shall we?"

Barbara pouted slightly but relented. "Fine, fine! But if you ever want to hear about it, I'm your girl!"

She turned her attention to Noelle and said, "Now, come along, dear! Let's get you all sorted out."

With that, she led a somewhat hesitant Noelle away, leaving Asta with Nelliel and Mereoleona.

Nelliel gave Asta a gentle nod, gesturing for him to follow. "Come on, Asta. Nero is waiting for you."

As they walked through the ornate halls, Mereoleona trailed behind, her fiery presence impossible to ignore.

" are you—uh—coming along too?" Asta asked, glancing back at her.

"Of course, brat," she said with a smirk. "What, you think I'd miss this?"

Though Asta wasn't exactly afraid of her, Mereoleona's sheer intensity never failed to make him uneasy.

She was a significant figure in his life—after his mother's passing, she had stepped in when Nero was too occupied.

But her methods of care were... unconventional.

He vividly remembered an incident when he was just 11.

Mereoleona had dropped him off on a remote island infested with mutated beasts. "Fight or die, brat," she had said casually before vanishing into the jungle.

For days, Asta had fought for survival, learning to hunt and defend himself.

He hadn't known at the time that she was watching from the shadows, ensuring his safety.

Even so, it had been one of the most terrifying experiences of his life.

Now, walking beside her again, Asta felt a mixture of respect and nervous anticipation.

"So, brat," Mereoleona said suddenly, breaking the silence. "How's your love life?"

Asta stumbled, nearly tripping over his own feet. "Wha—my what?!"

"You heard me." She grinned, her fiery eyes gleaming with amusement. "Are we going to see some little ones running around soon? Noelle's mother , had her first at 17, you know."

Asta's face turned crimson as he sputtered, "W-what are you even saying?! Don't—don't give Noelle ideas like that!"

Mereoleona roared with laughter, clapping him hard on the back. "Relax, kid! I'm just teasing."

She leaned in, her grin widening mischievously.

"But seriously, you should think about it. Acier would've loved some grandkids, and who knows.. Noelle might surprise you."

Asta groaned, covering his face with his hands. "Why does everyone keep bringing this up?!"

Nelliel chuckled softly, her calm voice a soothing contrast to Mereoleona's fiery energy. "Take it easy on him, Mereoleona. He's still young."

"Hah! Young or not, he's got responsibilities now," Mereoleona said, crossing her arms. "He better get used to it."

Asta sighed, realizing there was no winning this conversation.

Soon the trio reached The room in which Nero waw supposed to be in but the sound coming from it was that of a giant furnace running alongside loud clinging of metals.
