Bleach: I Have No Talent

Chapter 54: 52: Getting the Points

By the time the the stars could be seen, Itachi was exhausted but exhilarated. He hadn't learned any ninjutsu or other techniques; Shiro's focus had solely been on his swordsmanship. Itachi didn't mind. He had gained a deeper understanding of the blade, and it had unlocked a new potential within him.

Shiro turned to him with a smirk. "You'll be a formidable swordsman in time, Itachi. Just don't forget—Zanjutsu is a lifelong pursuit. You'll never stop learning."

Itachi's eyes glowed with a new determination. "I'll keep training, Shiro-san. Thank you."

"Good. That's the spirit," Shiro replied.

The two of them stood in silence for a moment, watching the the moon and the stars until mikoto called them back into house.

Shiro walked into the house alongside Itachi, after Mikoto had called them back home.

He made his way to his room, the exhaustion of the day settling in. With a tired sigh, Shiro collapsed onto his bed, waiting for the familiar system screen to appear. He had been eager for it, and it didn't take long for the screen to flash before his eyes.

System Notification

Guest earned 8,000 points for teaching Itachi Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation.

Guest earned 7,000 points for teaching Itachi Zanjutsu techniques.

Shiro couldn't contain his excitement as he immediately went to the system's shop. He quickly spent his points to buy "Cancel Lie Detection," for 15 000 points

even if it was only usable once. It was all he needed, and the thought of having it made him feel both relieved and accomplished.

"Yes! I did it!" Shiro muttered aloud, a grin stretching across his face. Then, almost as quickly, he fell silent, the weight of the moment sinking in.

As Shiro silently reveled in his success, a few rooms away, Fugaku Uchiha was sitting in the living room with Itachi, who had just finished telling him about his day.

---

"Itachi," Fugaku began, his voice low but filled with curiosity. "What did you learn today?"

Itachi hesitated for a moment, before answering with a neutral tone. "Shiro taught me a new fire jutsu... one that was used by Madara Uchiha, and he also taught me kenjutsu techniques."

Fugaku's expression stiffened slightly, his eyes narrowing as he processed the information. A jutsu used by Madara Uchiha? Kenjutsu techniques? Shiro had taught his son these things?

Fugaku's mind began to race. Could it be that Shiro Uchiha was more than just an ordinary member of the clan? Could he possibly be the grandson of Izuna Uchiha, Madara's brother?

The thought lingered in his mind. Izuna had been a mysterious figure, and there had always been rumors about his bloodline. If Shiro truly had that connection, it could explain his remarkable abilities.

---

Tomorrow will prove it, Fugaku thought, his gaze distant as he looked at his son.

---

The question weighed heavily on him, and Fugaku knew that the truth would soon reveal itself.

The following day would be a critical moment. If Shiro was indeed the grandson of Izuna Uchiha, it would change everything. Fugaku couldn't help but wonder if the boy knew about his heritage—or if he had somehow uncovered it on his own.

It was a thought that could not be ignored. His intuition told him that Shiro's involvement in teaching Itachi, his quick mastery of powerful techniques, and his strange demeanor all pointed to something deeper.

Tomorrow, Fugaku would find out for sure.

Back To Shiro

Shiro fell into a deep sleep, the exhaustion of his day melting away as his body relaxed into the familiar embrace of slumber. His mind wandered, as it always did, into a world of dreams. These dreams were never like the ones he experienced as a child, full of innocent wonder and frivolous imaginings. No, Shiro's dreams were often strange, disjointed, and steeped in shadow.

But this time, something felt different. As his eyelids fluttered open, he found himself standing in the green mitzvah—a tranquil, almost sacred space. The landscape was as beautiful as ever. Verdant trees stretched tall and proud, their leaves rustling gently in the wind. The air was crisp, sweet, and full of life, and flowers bloomed in a myriad of colors, their petals unfurling in the soft rays of a pale, ethereal sun.

For a moment, Shiro allowed himself to breathe, his senses relishing the rare calm that this world provided. But that peacefulness did not last long. His eyes narrowed as he scanned the surroundings, noticing the stark contrast. The once vibrant green grass now appeared blackened, scorched in places, as if some terrible fire had passed through. The trees were no longer standing proudly but broken and twisted, their trunks scorched and their leaves withered. The flowers, which had once painted the landscape with their brilliant colors, lay in ruin, their petals darkened and decaying.

A chill crept down Shiro's spine. He had seen this before. He could vividly remember the last time this world had been torn apart—just like the fragments of the Kurozai mask. But this time, it was worse. It wasn't just a small patch of land that was ruined; the devastation had spread far and wide, nearly consuming the entirety of the once-beautiful place. Only a small, seemingly untouched patch of green remained—everything else had been desecrated.

His heart raced in his chest, and he couldn't shake the feeling that something—or someone—had done this.

"That bastard," Shiro muttered under his breath, clenching his fists. "He's been destroying my inner world all this time?" His mind raced with the implications of what he was seeing. Was this the reason his connection with his Asauchi had grown so quickly? Had his rapid progress been the result of some unseen interference? And if so, what did that mean for his future growth, his training, and his connection to the blade that had been so integral to his development?

His thoughts were interrupted by a voice—no, not just one voice. This was something different. It was hundreds of voices, overlapping and whispering in the air, rising and falling like a twisted chorus. The sound was haunting, nearly suffocating in its intensity.

Shiro stiffened, his senses going on high alert. The voices spoke in eerie unison, their words merging into one chilling phrase:

"Turn around."

Against his better judgment, Shiro obeyed. He twisted on his heel, his gaze searching the darkness. His breath caught in his throat as he saw what stood before him once again.

There it was. The Kurozai.

The creature was bound in chains, golden shackles wrapping around its body, holding it still, but not in the way it had been before. In their previous encounter, its entire form had been contorted, warped—like reality itself was rejecting its existence. But now, something had changed. The Kurozai's body was no longer a grotesque, twisted mockery of life. Instead, it had taken a more human form, though bloated and unnaturally muscular, its figure still imposing and filled with menace.
