Blue Lock: Reborn As Isagi

Chapter 1: Episode 1

A cruel death.

That was the only way to describe my death. I was just sitting on my couch enjoying the new blue lock season. I had only trashed the animations before my TV started tweaking somehow. It was truly something.

It was really interesting, how the hell does one die from their TV. I even paid for that TV so I had basically paid for my own death. The sad thing was that I didn't even get a chance to sue the retailer I bought it from.

However it did have a seriously good screen. It felt hyper-realistic so it was truly something watching anime and different animations on it. Even with the horrendous animation from blue lock.

Did the animators put some kind of curse on people who cursed the show? The trailer was so bad and the actual episodes were even worse

Luckily, I had read the beautiful manga so I didn't totally hate blue lock. Even though it was the reason I died.

I was now stuck in this place. There was no visible light, I couldn't even see my own hand, that fact was truly interesting for my brain. When I walked it felt like there was no ground stopping me from sinking me yet there was something stopping me from sinking.

Nervously, I started wandering around my surroundings, there wasn't much to see, in fact there was nothing to see.

Dying isn't like what the stories say. I might be in hell because this certainly isn't heaven. Even hell isn't like what the stories say.

Why couldn't I be isekai'd or something.

To be honest, I expected to be met with some kind of Goddess who would grant me a super-power. End up in a Kingdom with the church being the biggest influence and power-house in the world. Not to mention, I would appear in a Kingdom begging me to be it's hero to defeat the Demon Lord who actually never appears. Plus something must always be wrong with the Kingdom like lack of finances or they are planning something.

Well, I guess it wasn't meant for me, I wasn't the chosen one.

But was it really too much to ask for a heaven or even end up being reincarnated into another world. I mean, if God truly does exist then this should be child's play.

"Child's play indeed," a deep voice boomed, I couldn't tell what direction it came from but that wasn't the point. God had answered my prayers meaning that I would get a second chance or go to the after-life.

A burst of light bursted from underneath–where my feet were supposed to be and started to spread upwards and surround me from left to right.

At first I was bamboozled and on alert but later on I simply went with the flow, enjoying the warmth that the light radiated off. Soon enough colors started to materialize and physical and inanimate objects started to form. I wonder if this is how Christian imagine God creating the world.

I took a long breath in and out. Real air was so refreshing, it felt like I had came out of a torture cell. Being happy to breathe is actually crazy but still something that felt so good.

"God created the world in his own image" I think that's a quote from a verse in the bible. I've never felt more religious than now. It felt surreal and crazy. But in a good way.

After looking around I looked at my palm, it was a bit lighter and smaller than the ones I was accustomed to, in fact the entire world seemed a bit smaller than usual.

Looking around I could see the colossal trees mounting over me. There were roughly two or three trees; they looked like a mix of deciduous and coniferous. A few meters away was a brown park bench, right adjacent to that was a play-ground.

It seemed like one of those typical anime back-story moments where a character is playing with a child-hood friend. Walking near the park, I could see a red-slide and some other children related stuff that would be in the park.

The park itself seemed oddly empty which was odd for such a relatively good park.It took me a while to realize that all the kids were using the sports area. It was a cage surrounded by blue bars and had a football goal and a basketball hoop.

Playing football was their current activity, I didn't pay much attention to that and instead tried to find out who and what I was. As much as I would like to join there were more important things to take care of that could wait.

[Meta-vision, Adaptability and Flow State added]

"Wait.. WHAT!"

My reaction was priceless. I was inside the blue lock world. Why did all these skills suddenly get added as soon as I tried to find out where I was? I wasn't complaining but damn.

Metavision, Adaptability and Flow State.

Aren't these all skills of the main character, Isagi? This might be the final key to finding where I was or should I say puzzle. The fact these three attributes were added could only mean that I was Isagi. Though it shouldn't really come as a surprise.

I had been transported randomly after watching an anime then I was given a second chance after being killed and got transportedIn the same anime I was watching as the main character.

So let me get this straight, I got transported inside of blue lock as Isagi with basically all his main skills that he got later on.

Meta-vision was an ability that allowed the user to see the pitch in a third person view, like a God gazing over the pitch. It was first seen as a rare ability in the series but now a lot of blue lock players unlocked the ability. Even so, there were certain different ways of using it like focusing on one person and discerning their weakness, therefore meaning you are able to exploit them. You can also incorporate the playing styles of the people around you to further increase the effective ability of meta-vision.

Adaptability was more of a trait than skill, I'm kind of confused as to how I got the ability. By using his ego and mind he is able to adapt and learn. It's more like the ability to learn then producing the out-come. Sometimes it has to do with his puzzle and finding out what he is missing and trying to improve in the moment. After finishing his puzzle Isagi is able to become a way better player. It sounds simple on paper but just the mere fact that he can become better is an extremely overpowered ability.

The third and final ability is the flow state which Isagi can only access for brief periods. There are times like when he devours Kaiser and when he forced Barou to pass the ball to him. If you consider his time at Bastard München as his flow state then yes. Every time a player is crippled by Isagi then that would be him in his flow state. It wasn't really clear when he used the flow state but it was still inside of his skill slot.

I needed to start planning out my next move. Staying mediocre until blue lock happened wasn't exactly ideal. Plus I might not even make it inside the facility so I still had to put it in some effort. I should just aim as high as I can and see how far I can go, the goal is to become a national prodigy or something.

Moving to sit down on the bark bench I still had multiple different thoughts in my head about my future.

If I wanted to become a big player then I would need to be recruited by a good European team. That sometimes makes me wonder how Sae got into La Real while living and playing in Japan. What on earth happened.

I shook my thoughts and started to look towards the cage where the kids were playing. No I wasn't a pedophile interested in kids, I was just bored and they were providing me with entertainment.

One of the players seemed to notice me staring.

"Hey Isagi, do you want to play!" a kid with short black hair and a skinny physique said to me.

He looked pretty plain and boring to me but how can I talk? I'm Isagi, now one of the most boring characters until the Neo-Egoist league.

The child seemed to know the previous Isagi so I tried to put on my friendliest smile and replied back.

"Yeah sure! What are the teams?" I replied back with a fake smile on my face. It was a good chance to test out my new abilities and see whether I got scammed. That reminds me do I have a system or did it just give me a gift and leave me to fend for myself.

"You are on Kenji and Riku's team to make it fair," the same skinny kid said while pointing at two kids.

When he pointed at Kenji, I noticed he had black hair and was visibly shorter than the rest of the group. He would probably be good at dribbling or would be a bad player. The way he leaned on he walked with his right leg would mean he was right legged. His physique wasn't anything impressive but to be fair he was very young. I could also notice that his eyes were constantly moving from place to place. This showed me that he could be suited to becoming a midfielder. But this could also be because he was very short, meaning that he was forced to use his eyes more to become more noticed on the field. He had the potential to be a meta-vision user.

When he pointed towards Riku he was the exact opposite of Kenji. He was very tall and had a relatively good physique for a 5 year old. Well that was if you were comparing him to Kenji. His legs seemed cramped and tired as if they were forced to jump and run a lot. I could tell that he was probably going to be one of those who would be forced to become a defender instead of becoming a striker.

Wait, how did I notice all this in a short time? Wait, was this meta-vision? All those thoughts seemed to be implanted in my brain, I was able to assess their height, dominant limbs and play-style all in one second. This could be used on wome– I meant players of a higher level.

Also why was that scrawny bastard underestimating me. "To make it fair". You must think I'm a joke, but I must not let this get in my head, he could have meant something else.

"Fair?" I asked back in confusion.

"Well it was a 3v2 so with you on their team then it would become even," he explained back, I felt kind of stupid at not realizing that sooner and looking like a fool.

"Oh, I get it," I said. Walking towards my teammates I started a little bit of chatter before we were starting the game.

"Isagi you in the middle, I go left and Kenji you go right!" Riku said with a smile on his face.

With those instructions even though it was from someone who was younger than I went to my position. Sometimes you've got to be humble for the greater good.

My team started with the ball, the ball was in possession of Kenji who started to dribble. I knew he thought that he was a really good player but it kind of looked embarrassing. The feints were sloppy and the cross-overs were really slow. Nobody else seemed to notice but somehow I did. Probably another effect of my meta-vision and being a young adult or adolescent.

After he finished doing his sloppy skills, he started to move up with the ball. To my surprise he was able to get past one of the players with relative ease. His moves were less of being good at dribbling but more of physiological torment.

By placing his hand near the chest area of a player he is able to make them feel uncomfortable and under pressure without it being a foul.

This makes the player feel like they are being restrained leading to them making irrational moves which Kenji took advantage of, a skill he was most likely doing without knowing.

But after he was met with the same guy who called me, his movements suddenly slowed down and the ball was intercepted.

Alright don't think that the kid had aura to stop him or anything it was because he went for a slide tackle which was then re-directed away from his direction. In any other situation, a slide-tackle would be highly ineffective. If Kenji had moved to the right or left he would have missed and ultimately been embarrassed. I think he knew that but just wanted to catch some ankles

Unfortunately, even though he intercepted the ball he wasn't able to control it which was where I envisioned it would be. After seeing the kid dribble past the first person I was able to tell that he would pass nor score.

To even have that remote amount of control at this age meant that there was something there in exchange for it. I guessed that was his shooting or was his physicality. I took that gamble and it landed right in my feet.

Taking a touch I bypass the defender with minimal ease using his uneven balance to make him fall down in the process.

I scanned the goal and saw that it was empty because there were no keepers, however the remaining players had decided to cover the goal on each side

However, the right side had more space due to the player being shorter, so I was shooting on the right side.

Not to mention the middle was free of any players so I decided to place it in the top middle but slightly tilted to the right. I kicked it as hard as I could.

"GOALLL," I screamed while doing the signature celebration of Ronaldo.

To the eyes of a normal person it would seem like a lucky goal but every touch and even where the players would go was calculated.

I did feel bad for try-harding on them but from their point of view I just got lucky and scored a banger goal.
