Chapter 298: Nakano Miku’s Crazy Idea
After dropping Nino off at home, Eiji walked alone under the darkening night sky. Lightning flickered faintly in the distance, and minutes later, a sudden downpour began. He didn't have an umbrella, but he didn't stop walking. To him, a little rain was no big deal.
If he wanted, he could activate Infinity to prevent a single drop from touching him. But that would attract attention, so he let the rain soak him instead.
By the time he reached the restaurant, his clothes were completely drenched. Eiji stepped inside, locked the door, and went straight to the bathroom for a hot shower. Afterward, he changed into casual pants and a plain black T-shirt, preparing to sleep.
"Hm?"
Just as he lay down, the sound of the front door opening startled him. His eyes narrowed, and his body immediately went on high alert. Memories of a burglar breaking into the restaurant months ago resurfaced, making him wary.
Even so, Eiji wasn't afraid. With his power, there was nothing on Earth—nuclear weapons included—that could scare him, let alone an ordinary thief.
"Who's there?" He called out in a low, cold voice, walking cautiously toward the sound.
A figure standing at the doorway greeted him. As dim light from the living room illuminated the person's face, relief washed over him, but so did confusion.
"Nino?" He asked and surprised.
"..."
The girl didn't answer. She simply stood there, her body soaked from the rain, her eyes a complex mix of emotions.
Eiji frowned at her silence. Something felt off. He observed her more closely, noticing details he typically overlooked.
"Why are you here so late? I just dropped you off at home, didn't I?" He asked, suspicion in his voice.
But 'Nino' remained silent, slowly walking toward him with an intense gaze, saying nothing.
"Nino?" He called again, but before he could ask further, the girl suddenly grabbed his face and kissed him.
"...!!!"
Eiji's eyes widened in shock. Instantly, he sensed something strange about the kiss.
It wasn't like Nino's usual confident, passionate kisses. This one felt hesitant, amateurish, and unpracticed. Deep down, he realized: this wasn't Nino.
He gently pushed the girl away and took a step back, creating some distance. His sharp gaze pierced through her.
"Who are you?" He asked coldly.
"..."
The girl didn't answer, lowering her head as her face flushed red.
"In that case, I'll find out for myself."
With that, Eiji reached for the butterfly hair accessory the girl wore—a signature trait of Nino—and removed it. Her long hair spilled out, revealing the disguise.
"Miku-san?"
In less than a second, Eiji identified the imposter among the quintuplets.
Ichika had short hair, so she was out.
Yotsuba also had short hair and was about to get married in a few days—there was no way she would do something immoral like this.
As for Itsuki... While she had long hair, Eiji couldn't imagine the quirky foodie having any romantic interest in him.
That left only Miku.
With his emotion-manipulation powers, sensing feelings was easy. To Eiji, Miku's love for him shone as clearly as the moon in a cloudless night sky.
But Eiji had chosen Nino as his girlfriend instead of Miku.
"I'm sorry, Kamiki-kun…"
Finally, Miku raised her tear-filled eyes to meet his.
"..."
His heart was in turmoil. He had just proposed to Nino, and now Eiji found himself caught in a situation he never expected.
"Miku, what are you doing?" He asked softly.
Miku wiped away the tears that were beginning to fall down her cheeks.
"I know this is wrong. I know I shouldn't be doing this. But… I can't hold it in any longer."
"Miku-san…"
"I love you, Kamiki-kun... No, Eiji-kun," Miku said with a trembling voice.
"I've tried to ignore these feelings. I tried to be happy for you and Nino. But… the more I try, the more it hurts. It feels like my chest is going to explode."
"..."
Not knowing what to say, Eiji felt like a jerk. Just earlier, he had proposed to Nino, and now, he was caught in a confession of love from her sister.
"I know you love Nino." Miku said, her voice filled with a mix of despair and confusion. "But I don't care... I just want to be by your side, no matter the cost. Even if that means... I have to be your mistress."
"Are you serious?" Eiji asked, stunned by her words.
Clenching her fists, Miku looked at him with unwavering determination.
"Yes, I'm not lying. You can prove it—do whatever you want to me. I'll keep it a secret from Nino."
"Miku, you can't say things like that. Relationships like this will only hurt everyone, including yourself." Eiji said, trying to reason with her.
"I don't care!" Miku cried out, her voice trembling. Tears streamed down her face, revealing her vulnerability.
"I don't care if I'm not the one you love most. I just want a small place in your heart... even if I have to share it with Nino. Eiji-kun, please don't reject me..."
"..."
Seeing the overwhelming negative emotions surrounding Miku, Eiji grew concerned she might act recklessly if he turned her down.
Desperation could drive people to dangerous extremes.
"Sigh... Alright. I hope you don't regret this decision, Miku."
Having made up his mind, Eiji carried Miku in a princess carry and took her to his room upstairs.
"Anything... I'll give you everything..." Miku whispered obsessively in his ear.
"..."
Throwing her onto the bed, Eiji tore off her pantyhose without hesitation.
"Since you're already wet, there's no need for foreplay. Let's begin."
"Ugh~..."
The room filled with intense rhythms as shadows danced wildly on the walls. The bed creaked softly under the pressure, sheets scattering as the relentless momentum continued without pause.
