BTS And The Death Flame

Chapter 1: Chapter 1. THE WHITE OWL

THE WHITE OWL

Kim Seo Min was born in dark times, or at least that's how her mother used to call them. She was born exactly sixteen years ago in South Korea but moved to Britain when she was just a few months old. It was a time when good people were behind bars suited for crimes they did not commit while criminals walked freely around the streets.

There was always rain in London, and when it was not, it was cold and dark. Sometimes surrounded by a gray fog, which, like a veil, wandered over the squalid buildings and old houses. There was rarely a part of London that was nice. Then, Kim Seo Min, her father who was British, and her mother who was Korean, lived in Abbey Wood, within the London Boroughs of Greenwich and Baxley.

She wasn't even two years yet when it happened.

That night, Seo Min's uncle Tomas and her aunt Josie from her father side and her cousin Sonya came to see the house they just bought. That same house burned to the ground that same night and nobody knew how and why, and how did only three persons survived;

Kim Seo Min, her mother, and her two years older cousin, Sonya.

Thirteen years after, her mother married a British accountest, Tom. They moved to the richer neighborhood, from the outside, Tom's house looked stylish. It has been built with wood covered in render and has brown brick decorations. Small, half rounded windows brighten up the house and have been added to the house in a mostly asymmetric way. The house was equipped with a small kitchen and three bathrooms, it also had a generous living room, five bedrooms, a snug dining room, and a snug garage.

The building was shaped like a T. The two extensions extend into overgrown wooden overhanging panels reaching until the end of that side of the house. The second-floor was bigger than the first, which created a stylish overhang on two sides of the house. This floor follows the same style as the floor below. The roof was flat and was covered with seagrass. One large chimney pokes out the center of the roof. Several small windows let in just enough light to the rooms below the roof. The house itself was surrounded by a modest, childsafe garden covered mostly in grass and with a children's playground in the center.

Today, Kim Seo Min is an almost sixteen-year-old teenager who lives with her mother who doesn't pay the slightest affection towards her with unknown reason to Seo Min. Her often drunk an annoying stepfather Tom and her cousin Sonya. But the real reason for her mother neglection and Tom's awful behavior it's because they are terrified that Seo Min will learn that she's really a witch, just as her father she never meted was a wizard. But the event she caused last week due to her problems with asthma and panic attacks that were caused by her cousin Sonya and her friends, she didn't have any doubt what she is.

There she was, after school, all alone in an abandoned kid's park near her house, when Sonya and her two little minions didn't approach. The chubby kid was that girl Sonya, with big emerald eyes, big nose and a body bigger than her head, but still, she was the proud and joy of Seo Min's own mother. But maybe the reason for their bullying was the way Seo Min looked, walked and talk. She was this tall, long hair brunette with pearly white teet's, small chubby cheeks and beautiful brown eyes that smiled every time she did. And she was thin, oh boy, she was thin as a model and that was the biggest reason Sonya didn't like her.

"No friends, eh?" Said her cousin, mockingly standing right in front of the girl who was just trying to get a little bit of sun and peace without her family and school.

"Buzz off, big head!" Seo Min snarled at her, trying to look anywhere else beside Sonya's face. Her mother told her she is just like her father; Never keep's her mouth shut, she doesn't know when to bite her tongue and she has enough courage for half of the kids of her age but Sonya was persistent to bug her to her limit's and she did because the words that came out of her mouth triggered something in Seo Min, something she didn't know she even has.

"What was that? !You are a freak, just like your father!" Sonya taunted, SeoMin's usually pale face turned bright red as the rage built up inside of her. Suddenly, the wind got stronger and it was strong enough to start a tornado. Sonya and her friends started walking out slowly from Seo Min, but she looked like she wasn't even there. Her body stiff, her hands down to her waist clutched in fists and her eyes that started becoming bright red as she was focused only on one thing; Sonya looking like a toad, a big, rusty toad.

The next morning, on her sixteen birthday, Seo Min woke up on the dull, gray Tuesday where her story started actually, there was nothing about the cloudy sky outside tosuggest that strange and mysterious things would soon be happening all over the country. She was grounded for turning Sonya in too a toad yesterday, luckily no one saw it. Sonya's friends ran away before it happened and she returned into a normal state after a few hours, But Seo Min was still grounded.

Mr. Tom hummed as he picked out his most boring tie for work and Mrs. Kim gossiped away happily as she wrestled a screaming Sonya into her high chair trying to brush her hair.None of them noticed a large, white owl flutter past the window.

That morning, Mr. Tom saw the same cat he was seeing the past few days. As he pulled into the driveway of number THIRTEEN, the first thing he saw - and it didn't improve his mood - was the tabby cat he'd spotted a few days in the row. It was now sitting on his garden wall. He was sure it was the same one; it had the same markings around its eyes. "Shoo!" said Mr. Tom loudly. But the cat didn't move. It just gave him a stern look. Was this normal cat behavior? Mr. Tom wondered. Trying to pull himself together, he let himself into the house. He was still determined not tomention anything to Seo Min's mother.

Just as Seo Min descended the stairs in the time the news was on; "And finally, bird-watchers everywhere have reported that thenation's owls have been behaving very unusually today. Althoughowls normally hunt at night and are hardly ever seen in daylight,there have been hundreds of sightings of these birds flying in every direction since sunrise. Experts are unable to explain why the owls have suddenly changed their sleeping pattern."

Mr. Tom turned them off as soon as he saw the girl standing in the middle of the theliving room watching it with him. As everyone sits down for breakfast, the mail arrives. Seo Min and Sonya have a short argument over who must retrieve the mail. Seo Min loses. Picking up the mail, she sees a letter addressed to her:

Mrs. Kim Seo Min

The Room On The Second Floor

13. Abbey Wood Drive

The London Boroughs of Greenwich and Baxley.

Kim Seo Min has never received a letter before and she is unsure who sent it. The envelope is a thick, heavy, yellow parchment with a strange wax seal on the back. Turning the envelope over and over, her hands trembling, Seo Min saw a purple wax seal bearing a coat of arms; a lion, an eagle, a badger and a snake surrounding the big letter 'H'. She opens it as she watches her family watching her in fear. Unsure why are they behaving like they are, she takes the yellow parchment out;

"Dear Ms. Kim, We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on 1 September.

A big knock on the door startled them all. Seo Min stopped reading the letter and turned her attention toward the noise. A giant of a man was standing in the doorway. His face was almost completely hidden by a long, shaggy mane of hair and a wild, tangled beard, but you could make out his eyes, glinting like black beetles under all the hair. The giant squeezed his way into the house, stooping so that his head just brushed the ceiling. The noise of the upcoming storm outside dropped a little. He turned to look at them all. He strode over to the sofa where Sonya sat frozen with fear. She squeaked and ran to hide behind Seo Min's mother, who was crouching, terrified, behind Mr. Tom.

"Hello there, Ms. Kim Seo Min !" said the giant.

Seo Min up into the fierce, wild, shadowy face and saw that the beetle eyes were crinkled in a smile. Seo Min looked up at the giant. She meant to say hello, but the words got lost on the way to her mouth, and what she said instead was, "Who are you?"

The giant chuckled.

"True, I haven't introduced myself. Rubeus Hagrid, Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts."
