Chapter 4: Super Divine Dou Di Bloodline
Hun Xiu stood in stunned silence, his heart heavy with the belief that he was nothing more than a waste. A tiger father but a dog son—how else could he explain the stone tablet's lack of reaction? In the Soul Clan, being born without a Dou Di bloodline was equivalent to being labeled garbage.
Even with talent or relentless effort, one without the divine bloodline would achieve mediocrity at best, perhaps reaching the Dou Zun stage late in life. But what was a Dou Zun in the Soul Clan? Nothing but an elevated servant, barely above those tasked with menial jobs.
Hun Xiu sighed deeply, the grayness in his heart reflecting in his eyes.
Yet, just as despair gripped him, a sudden, unexpected voice echoed in his mind:
"Ding! Your system has arrived. Do you want to sign for it?"
Hun Xiu froze, his heartbeat quickening. A system? After seven years of waiting, he finally had the cheat that every transmigrator dreams of! His golden finger!!
He suppressed a laugh as he accepted the system in his mind.
"Welcome to the Supreme Dao System."
The system presented him with three choices:
1. Obtain super-divine bloodline, shocking everyone, and receive a power boost to Dou Ling.
2. Obtain divine bloodline, impress everyone, and advance to Great Dou Master.
3. Quietly accept his fate as a "little waste" and receive the title that reflected his new reality.
Hun Xiu chuckled, his excitement rising. There was no hesitation. He chose the first option. Who wouldn't?
As the choice was confirmed, he felt an overwhelming surge of power within him. His blood began to boil, its latent potential roaring to life.
Hun Xiu turned to the middle-aged man overseeing the bloodline activation and spoke with newfound confidence. "Elder, my bloodline is awakening. May I try again?"
The elder frowned. "According to the rules, each child has only two chances—"
Before he could finish, Hun Feng's laughter interrupted him.
"Hahaha! Hun Xiu, you're so foolish. What nonsense are you spouting? You're nothing but trash!" Hun Feng sneered, his smug grin infuriating.
Hun Xiu remained calm, but his eyes gleamed with determination. Turning back to the elder, he pressed, "Elder, don't forget—I am the son of the clan leader, Hun Tian Di."
The elder hesitated. While the rules were strict, Hun Xiu's reminder carried heavy weight. He sighed. "Very well. But remember, this will be your final chance."
Hun Xiu approached the stone tablet, his heart pounding with anticipation. This time, as soon as his hand touched the surface, the tablet exploded with a blinding light.
A beam of brilliance shot skyward, illuminating the entire Soul Clan territory. Gasps erupted from the crowd, and murmurs of disbelief spread like wildfire.
The elder's eyes widened in shock as bold words appeared on the stone tablet:
Eleventh-Grade Bloodline.
Super Divine Dou Di Bloodline.
For a moment, silence blanketed the square. Then, whispers broke out, full of astonishment and awe.
"Super Divine bloodline?!"
"This is impossible!"
Hun Feng's face turned pale, his earlier smugness replaced with disbelief.
The elder stared at Hun Xiu, his voice trembling. "Eleventh-grade bloodline… A super divine bloodline! You… You are a prodigy unparalleled in history!"
Hun Xiu smirked inwardly. The ridicule and doubt he had endured moments ago now seemed like a distant memory.
"Laugh all you want now," he thought, casting a sidelong glance at Hun Feng. "Soon, you'll kneel before me."
