BTTH: The Legend Of Xiu Emperor

Chapter 43: Young Master Competition Starts

"No, both first and second place can obtain the sub-fires from Lord Void," Hun San said respectfully.

"Both first and second place?"

Hun Xiu was slightly stunned. When did Void Devouring Flame become so generous? Or has his esteemed father suddenly turned magnanimous?

"Yes."

Hun San nodded respectfully and explained, "However, while both the first and second places in the competition can receive Lord Void's sub-fire, there is a significant gap between them."

"A gap?"

"Is it the difference between a high-level sub-fire and an ordinary one?" Hun Xiu asked tentatively.

"Yes," Hun San replied. "The first place in the clan competition can obtain a advanced-level sub-fire, while the second place receives an ordinary one."

"Understood."

Hun Xiu nodded thoughtfully before asking, "How strong is the younger generation in the clan now?"

Although Hun Xiu was confident in his abilities, he chose to remain cautious. After all, he wasn't the only genius in the younger generation of the Hun clan.

Other prodigies existed, and underestimating them could lead to disaster.

Hun San answered truthfully, "Most of the younger generation in the Hun Clan are at the Dou Wang level. Among them, Young Master Hun Feng, Young Master Hun Yu, and Miss Hun Huan'er have all reached the Dou Huang level."

"Hmm?"

Hun Xiu's eyes widened slightly, a trace of surprise flashing across his handsome face.

He exclaimed, "Most are at Dou Wang level, yet Hun Feng, Hun Yu, and Huan'er are already at Dou Huang level?"

He couldn't hide his shock.

Previously, Hun Xiu believed his talent was unmatched among the younger generation. Reaching the Dou Huang level made him a rare anomaly. But now, he learned that others had achieved the same milestone.

Internally, he mused, I've underestimated the younger generation of the Hun Clan. They're more capable than I thought.

Hun San nodded and continued, "Young Master Hun Feng is a five-star Dou Huang, Young Master Hun Yu is a four-star Dou Huang, and Miss Hun Huan'er is a two-star Dou Huang."

"Good heavens."

Hun Xiu sighed in amazement. "Those three are actually ahead of me."

After a moment, he asked, "Uncle San, do you think I stand a chance at claiming first place in this clan competition?"

Hun San responded without hesitation, "It's certain."

He knew that while Hun Xiu's realm might not surpass Hun Feng and the others, his combat prowess was terrifyingly unmatched.

Hun Xiu smirked slightly and said, "Uncle San, don't be so sure just yet."

Hun San: "…"

Three Days Later.

In the blink of an eye, three days had passed.

The massive square was bustling with activity, filled with members of the Hun Clan. Both strong and ordinary people were present, creating a lively atmosphere.

The strong sat on specially prepared platforms, while the ordinary people stood in the square.

In the outside world, a Dou Zong would be considered a strong individual. But among the ancient eight tribes, only a Dou Zun qualified as strong. A Dou Zong was merely average.

At the center of the square stood a massive martial arts stage. On the stage, a middle-aged man in a black robe stood with a solemn expression. His name was Hun Dun, a powerful elder of the Hun Clan.

Hun Dun looked toward Hun Tian Di, who was seated on the central platform, silently seeking approval. Hun Tian i gave a slight nod.

Understanding the signal, Hun Dun turned back to the crowd, his voice booming, "Silence!"

Although the word wasn't loud, it resounded clearly throughout the square. The chatter immediately ceased, and all eyes focused on Hun Dun.

Satisfied with the silence, Hun Dun declared, "Now, I will call the names of participants for the clan competition. Those whose names are called must come forward. Failing to do so after three calls will result in disqualification."

After a brief explanation, he began calling names.

---

"Hun Dan!"

A plump boy emerged from the crowd, his black wings spreading wide as he took to the air. His rounded figure, combined with his black wings and robes, made him resemble a fat crow.

Suppressing laughter, many watched as Hun Dan gracefully landed on the stage and folded his wings.

Hun Dun continued, "Hun Du Luo!"

A figure gracefully ascended from the crowd. Her white wings and flowing dress made her look like a celestial being.

"Hun Du Luo is stunning!" whispered some of the younger audience members in awe.

One by one, names were called:

"Huan Qiu!"

"Hun Tianxin!"

"Hun Fengxin!"

"Hun Yitian!"

More and more participants joined the martial arts stage. In total, over fifty individuals stood on the stage, each one a Dou Wang or higher. The weakest was at the one-star Dou Wang level, while the strongest reached nine stars.

Gu Yuan, seated on the high platform, observed the younger generation with a hint of envy. "Brother Hun, the younger generation of your clan is truly exceptional."

He gave Hun Tian Di a thumbs up, signaling his admiration.
