Chapter 139: Chapter 139: Young Devils Assemble
Looking at the towering skyscraper, Rias slapped her cheeks, trying to shake off her fatigue, and led the group inside.
As they entered a spacious elevator, Rias addressed her peerage, her voice firm, her expression serious.
"No matter what happens, stay calm. Do not engage unless provoked. But if anyone starts trouble… retaliate immediately."
Asia gulped, trying to steady her nerves. "Yes, Buchou!"
"Feel free to go all out. I'll handle the consequences," Haru added nonchalantly.
Hearing his words, everyone relaxed slightly. With the current top dog of the Underworld on their side, they felt more confident.
After all, anyone who started a fight with them would be the one to suffer. The group, most of whom were attending a Young Devils Gathering for the first time, felt a sense of reassurance.
The elevator doors opened, revealing a vast hall.
As they stepped out, a young man in a waiter's uniform approached Rias.
"Welcome, Bael-sama, Gremory-sama. Please, this way."
The waiter led them through the hall, past several corners, until they reached a large door. Several figures stood inside, engaged in conversation.
Rias's eyes widened in surprise. "Sairaorg?!"
One of the figures turned. A young man with short black hair, a powerfully built physique, muscles rippling beneath his clothes like a professional fighter, his violet eyes sharp and intense, scanned the newcomers.
Upon seeing Rias, his face lit up, and he walked towards her.
"It's been a while, Rias!" he said, shaking her hand with a warm smile.
"Indeed," Rias replied, returning his smile. "You haven't changed a bit since we were children. How surprising."
She turned to her peerage. "Some of you may not know him. This is Sairaorg Bael, my cousin from the Bael clan."
Sairaorg's gaze swept over the group, and his eyes widened as he saw Haru. He immediately dropped to one knee.
"Sairaorg Bael, at your service, Ancestor-sama!"
As the next head of the Bael clan, Sairaorg had naturally been informed of the Devil King's return—a fact he had memorized.
Haru, taken aback by Sairaorg's sudden display of reverence, felt a flicker of embarrassment. He was, after all, an imposter Bael. But… he had to admit, the whole "ancestor" thing was kind of satisfying.
He cleared his throat, forcing his face into a serious expression. He patted Sairaorg on the shoulder, his voice filled with mock solemnity. "You've been training hard, I see. You haven't disgraced the Bael name."
Sairaorg's eyes filled with tears as he grasped Haru's hands. "Thank you, Ancestor-sama! Thank you!"
Haru, watching Sairaorg's over-the-top reaction—the guy was practically drooling—felt a bead of sweat trickle down his forehead.
He used his telepathy to discreetly communicate with Rias.
"Rias, what's going on with this guy? He's about to start bawling."
"Sairaorg is the next head of the Bael clan, but he didn't inherit the Power of Destruction. He earned his position through sheer hard work and determination, training his body to monstrous levels of strength. He's had a difficult time gaining acceptance within the family. Your compliment just validated all his efforts and Improved his position. That's why he's so emotional." Rias explained, a wry smile on her face.
BOOM!
The floor shook violently, and a loud explosion echoed from behind the large door.
Everyone looked around, startled. 'What was going on?'
Only Sairaorg, still sniffling, seemed unsurprised.
Haru, noticing Sairaorg's reaction, asked, "What was that?"
Sairaorg wiped his tears, pointing towards the door. "Probably some of the young Devils inside got into a fight."
Haru's eyes lit up. He walked towards the door and kicked it open, revealing the chaotic scene within.
The hall was in ruins. Expensive furniture and decorations were shattered, fragments scattered across the floor.
Two groups of Devils faced off in the center of the room, weapons drawn, ready to battle.
One group looked like… well, stereotypical Devils—their appearances varied and monstrous. The other group looked more… human. But both sides radiated powerful demonic auras.
A female Devil, her cold eyes fixed on her opponent, spoke.
"Zephyrdor, do you want to die? Starting a fight here… you won't survive. I doubt the higher-ups would even care if I killed you now."
A green-haired Devil with tattoos covering his face and a thuggish demeanor smirked in response.
"Ha! You stuck-up bitch! I was just being nice, offering you a private room for some fun. Agares girls are so damn uptight."
"That's why you're still single, isn't it? Still a virgin? All you Maou servants reek of virginity. It's disgusting. I was just trying to help you out."
Behind the two arguing Devils, a group of black-robed figures stood, watching the scene unfold, a mild-mannered boy at their center.
Haru stroked his chin, observing the three groups, then turned to Sairaorg, who had followed him. "Who are these people?"
Sairaorg quickly composed himself.
"The girl with sharp eyes is Seekvaira Agares, the next head of the Agares family."
"The thug is Zephyrdor Glasya-Labolas, the next head of the Glasya-Labolas family."
"And the one watching is Diodora Astaroth, the next head of the Astaroth family."
"Along with my Bael clan, Rias's Gremory clan, and Sona's Sitri clan, those are the Six Great Houses of the new generation."
Just then, the mild-mannered boy, Diodora, noticed Haru's group and approached them with a look of excitement on his face.
