Chapter 265: Palkus’ Journey! Pause
It was time for the battle between the vampire primogenitor and the disciple of the Enigma, who had taken the world by storm.
The outcome could be said to be obvious, but it mattered not; what mattered was the aftermath of this battle.
How would the world react to the end of one of the rulers of its 7 continents?
How would the world react to the news of Palkus, who had taken him down and is on a mission to conquer all other continents?
How would Palkus come out of this battle? Would he remain the same? Would he change? Would he get back to how he was?
It was all to be seen, but now the actual battle had to happen.
The participants remaining in this battle were few, but each one of them was powerful.
On one hand, we had Palkus and the vampire primogenitor, and on the other hand, there were the three sovereigns and Azeroth, who was looking at Palkus worriedly.
It was starting to get the point that it stopped being natural, it seemed weird, it seemed forced.
What was happening to the young man?
Just…
'What have you done, my lord?'
Was it really the feelings of Palkus himself, or was it something that Draco was planning all along?
Was the constant and long sleeps sessions something that had happened out of boredom or was it a prelude to something great and meaningful?
Was the anger he was emitting now a result of the words of the long-dead countess or a transformation resulting from something that was put on him long ago by Draco?
It was a lot of questions, but there really was no one answer.
However, there was a solution, a simple one that would require time, but it was still a good solution nonetheless; she just had to arrive and everything would be back to normal.
"You… you're the primogenitor, right?" Palkus' words reveberated through the empty space.
Behind them was an intact town, but in front of them was a long expanse of burned dirt.
"That is indeed me, and you should be the young man who has been killing my subordinates, am I right?" The primogenitor spoke.
"You should know." Palkus said.
"I'm in no mood to explain something so simple." He added.
"Whether they began or we did… You have to die here today." Palkus said.
"Very well." Dracula accepted his fate.
"Then I will put my all into this." The empty sky started shurning and black clouds appeared out of nowhere.
It was still night, and on the sky there was nothing but the brightly shining silver full moon.
Now, through a hole in the sky surrounded by dark clouds, was a blood moon staring like an eye at the group below.
"Whatever you try is meaningless." Palkus shook his head and raised his hand.
{Chaos Moon}
Simple words.
Simple words that had a lot of meaning. The authority that was so broken that it could only be held by a single person was passed down genetically to a second monster who was now making full use of it to terrorize the primogenitor of a full race.
"Heh." Alucard Dracula laughed.
When he saw how his blood moon had changed into a foggy dark moon, he realized that there indeed was no meaning to all his efforts.
If he fights with all of his powers or if he cuts his head and hands it over, it wouldn't change anything.
Just what was all of this about?
If he could kill him this easily, then why wait for him to come all the way over here when he could just come knocking on his door since day 1 and end it all?
"Don't think we will just stand and watch you kill our Lord. If we're not dead, then you won't have it easy." One of the sovereigns finally gathered the courage needed to stand in front of Palkus.
"Palkus, focus on your battle, I will handle these guys."
{Chaos Death}
*Thud* *Thud* *Thud*
"You've done more than enough, Azeroth, you can rest for now." Palkus didn't even bother to look at the three corpses of the vampires who had fallen down and spoke.
"…"
"…"
Azeroth and the vampire primogenitor looked blankly at this scene and stood silently on their places.
While one was worried, the other was thinking that he could have died just like, so just why didn't Palkus add him to the mix?
"Don't think too much, I'm just giving you some respect since you're the primogenitor and all that." Palkus said.
This didn't make the vampire primogenitor happy at all.
This whole thing seemed like a joke, and he was beginning to think that this death really wasn't as he wished.
"Come, show me what you're capable off. Give me everything you have." Palkus gestured with his hands at the primogenitor to attack him with all that he got and the latter stood there for a couple seconds before he finally acted.
His demeanor gave the feeling of it is what it is, and from the looks of it, he had completely given up on life, and he was like a dead man walking at the moment.
"Palkus!" Suddenly, Azeroth shouted.
It happened.
The thing that was making the young man act like this since the very beginning has finally showed up.
Something was wrong from the very beginning, but, it should have been obvious.
There was a reason only one being can be the holder of Chaos, and now it was shown for all to see.
From Palkus' body, streaks and streams color shot out.
The young man stood in his place and his eyes turned dark while his face was full of lines of the same color.
*BOOOOM*
Out of nowhere, and before anyone could react, a fog broke out of the young man's body and it spread out until it covered half of the continent.
It's effects were unknown, but one fact remained through, no one remained awake on the continent.
'So it happened.'
