Chapter 2: Meeting my Fiancé
"Lord Alexander, Lady Evelynn, Young Master Artorias, it seems your fiancé and her family have arrived." Alexis said as she bowed and left, presumably to escort the family here.
I looked towards my parents and sweatdropped. They were sitting down elegantly, not a single hair out of place. It's like they weren't just wrestling each other on the ground a few moments ago.
Not even questioning it I just sat down in between them waiting for my fiancé and her family to arrive.
~
After a minute Alexis walked in followed by 4 other people most likely my fiancé and her family.
The first was an enormous man (at least to me) standing at the height of 6 '2, at least an inch or 2 taller than my dad with pale almost white blond hair and blue eyes. He had a broad chest, thick neck, and he had a sturdy jaw line. He had a well-structured appearance akin to that of a famous foreign action star. This was Mikhail Makarovich Kujou.
He was followed by a beautiful young woman standing at average height. She has a milky white complexion, soft raven locks, and delicate dark brown eyes that seemingly appear mauve in color, all in all she was a stunningly beautiful woman. This was Akemi Kujou.
The next were 2 girls who looked almost identical yet if you looked close enough you would be able to tell the difference between the both of them. The first was a little taller than the other barely noticeable but it's there.
She had blond hair that seemed darker than the other, and hazelnut brown eyes that she seemed to have got from her mom. This was Maria Mikhailovna Kujou.
The second, the shortest of the family, also had blond hair on the lighter side of her sister and dazzling blue eyes that she seemed to get from her father. This was Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou.
As they entered the room my parents and I stood up to greet them, my mom greeted Akemi first while my dad greeted Mikhail first, they shook hands with a small smile… aaaannnnd now they're trying to see who has the stronger grip out of the 2.
They thought they were being discreet but the veins on their hands and forehead pulsing gave it away…and the fact that they were shaking hands longer than usual. Looking at my mom to see if she noticed, but she was engaged in a 'girl talk' with my fiancé's mom.
'Weren't you just sulking about having to meet my fiancé and her parent's' I sweatdropped. Letting out a sigh due to how easily my parents emotions switch at the drop of a hat.
Suddenly I felt someone watching me, turning I saw both my fiancé and her sister looking at me. I looked back at them for a bit before walking slowly towards them.
Standing before them I introduced myself "Hello, you may already know who I am but to be polite i'm going to myself anyway. Im Artorias Pendragon, Sole prince and heir to the Pendragon royalty, son of King Alexander Pendragon and Queen Evelynn Pendragon, it's nice to meet the both of you."
After introducing myself I did a little bow at the end.
They both looked at me for a little as if in some sort of trance before they snapped out of it, the older, my fiancé, spoke first "H-Hello my name is Maria Mikhailovna Kujou, heiress of the Kujou/Mikhailovna nobility, first daughter of Akemi Kujou and Mikhail Makarovich Kujou, it's nice to meet you as well."
She also did a little bow, the next to introduce themselves was the younger sister "Ah- Hello, my name is Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou, second daughter of Akemi Kujou and Mikhail Makarovich Kujou, it's nice to meet you." She finished off her sentence with a bow as well.
I was about to start a conversation with them when I noticed that it was quiet… too quiet, looking back I see both our parents looking at us, the mother's having small smiles while the father's both had stern faces…and yet they still wouldn't let go of each other's hand, determined to beat the other.
I sweatdropped at this 'They really are rival's huh?'
~
Everyone in the living room was seated with the Pendragons sitting on one couch while the Mikhailovna/Kujou family were seated on another couch opposite them.
The adults were talking about the usual things 2 big noble families talk about (politics) and how Maria and I's engagement will bring both of our families closer, me on the other hand I was getting bored.
'Why am I even here, they seem to be handling this whole engagement thing without me…then again it wouldn't be so wise to ask two 5 year and a 6 year old about politics.' Looking towards the adults in the room.
They seem to be deep into a conversation about the latest happenings in the families. Glancing at the two sisters I see both of them bored while the younger one, Alisa, seems to be trying to listen to them and mentally take notes of their conversation.
Slightly tugging at my mothers dress, I whispered in her ear that maybe I should give my fiancé and her sister a tour of the house, to get to know them better. Both my parents and theirs agreed, saying it was a good idea.
Getting off the couch I beckoned the girls to follow me to which Maria readily got up and Alisa, although reluctant, got up as well 'She's gonna be a pain to deal with, huh…?'
Walking out of the living room I sighed and stretched "Man, sitting down and talking about politics sure is tiring, huh?" I asked, looking towards the girls. Maria smiled "Yeah, it can be a little tiring, Right Alisa?"
"Hmph!" That was all we got out of her. Maria giggled a little, while I only raised an eyebrow at her. Looking towards Maria I made a face that seemed to ask her 'What the hell was that about?'
"Hehe~ don't worry Alisa tends to get all serious when it comes to our family." Maria giggled as she spoke in a teasing manner.
Putting my hands behind my head I looked towards Alisa "Huh, Why are you so serious about politics? Aren't you like…5?" After saying that Alisa's eyebrow twitched "YOU'RE 5 YEARS OLD TOO!!"
Not expecting her to have that kind of reaction I just stared at her for a minute before simply turning away ready to give them a tour and waving my hand in dismissal "Yeah Yeah whatever you say Alya."
"My name is Alisa not Alya!" She yelled but seeing as I was still walking she chased after me yelling about how her name isn't Alya. Maria seeing this giggled and not wanting to be left out ran after us "Hey Hey Artorias can you give me a cute nickname as well?~"
"Yeah I guess I can do that, let's see…you'll beeee… Masha. Yeah Masha that sounds good, no?" I stopped and turned to look at her but since Alisa (Now named Alya) was still running to catch up to me and didn't anticipate me stopping, she bumped into me causing us both to fall.
I heard Maria's footsteps speeding up towards us and her saying something but I couldn't quite hear her due to Alya sitting in my stomach and scolding me about giving people I just met 'pet names'.
Maria caught up to us but seeing the situation we were in she let out a full blown childish laugh. She kept this up for a while before she finally calmed down enough to speak "Masha…yeah I like it!" She said with a bright smile.
'Too bright!'
"Hey Maria you can't just Ow-!" Alya was about to reprimand Maria about just accepting nicknames from people you just met, however as she was about to get up she sharply kneeled back down nursing her ankle.
Looking at her I sighed 'I guess this is somewhat my fault isn't it?' So stepping towards her I turned my back towards her and kneeled "Here. I'll take you guys to my room so that I can call a maid or Alexis to come and patch you up, since it is sorta my fault."
Alya looked at my back for a moment before slowly climbing on.
As we were walking to my room Maria struck up a conversation "Hey Hey, Artorias, since you gave both of us pet names why don't we give you one as well."
"Hmmm… I guess that's fair you got any?" I was curious as to what nicknames she came up with.
"Hmmm…what about Artoria!"
"Absolutely not!" I shot that down immediately, making both Masha and the ever serious Alya giggle a bit, but Alya's giggle felt more sinister, no way she couldn't possibly be thinking that, could she?
"Then what about Art? That sounds a bit basic though."
"I like it… how about this, I'll only let the both of you call me that."
"Yeah, yeah… I'd like that!" She said once again with that bright smile of hers. However Alya the little devil she was got closer to my ear and whispered something that made me almost trip up
"Artoria."
'This little…!' I was about to tell her off but we were in front of my room door. Going inside I saw everything as I had left it. Looking at the bed I got an idea to get back at her, stepping closer to the bed I turned around so that me and Alya's back were facing the bed frame.
Jumping up as high as I can, I heard Alya scream as I back flopped onto the bed with her still on me, it wasn't done however when Masha surprisingly jumped onto us laughing.
I could hear Alya trying to say something but she was being muffled by me being on top of her.
After a few seconds I got Masha off me so that I could get off of Alya. "Alright I'm going to look for a maid so that they can fix you up, Alya." After I said that I could hear her grumble about her unwanted pet name.
Going to the door I was about to call out for a maid when one came in holding a tray with snacks and tea on them. "Young master Artorias, I was instructed by Lady Evelynn to bring you and the young misses tea and snacks in case any of you get hungry."
"Ah! Yes thank you, and you came at the right time. You see that cute little miss over there made a fatal mistake of excitedly running through the halls and tripping over her own feet." I may or may not have been a little dramatic when I told the maid this.
Looking behind me I see Alya about to say something but Masha being the good fiancé she was quickly covering Alya's mouth to stop her from saying anything "I would like to ask if you could possibly patch her up so she doesn't have to feel anymore pain?"
"Leave it to me young master, I'll make sure she's feeling better in no time!" The maid said, determined to make sure Alya is feeling better, she ran out of the room but soon came back with a first aid kit.
Meanwhile Masha and I sat back and enjoyed the Tea and Snacks, while Alya was giving us a death glare (something she'll later claim as her signature move).
~
My parents and I were standing at the door seeing off the Mikhailovna/Kujou family.
"It was nice meeting you all, especially Maria and Alisa. It was nice getting to know the both of you and I had fun playing with the both of you." I said with a smile facing both Maria and Alisa with both of them blushing a bit.
Alisa woud never admit it but she did have a lot of fun being with Artorias especially (and she would never tell him or anyone else) when he taught them how to play a game called sims.
Maria on the other hand wasn't as reserved as Alisa "Yeah! I had a lot of fun as well, I hope we can come over again?" She asked looking towards her parents with Alisa doing the same to which Akemi and Mikhail laughed "Yes, we can bring you both over every weekend, how about that?"
Both Maria and Alisa nodded their heads, with Maria's head bop being more excitable than Alisa's.
They started walking towards the limousine waiting outside the gate before Masha turned around, she ran up towards me before giving me a kiss on the cheek before running back towards her parents, not before yelling "I can't wait for our date next week Art!" She yelled while waving.
When they pulled off my dad patted me on the shoulder "That's my boy! Already charming your fiancé huh?!" He said while laughing and patting me on my shoulder… it was starting to hurt.
Mom however came to my rescue as she bopped my father on his head causing him to stop patting my shoulder and nurse the new lump on his head.
I wasn't safe from her however because the next moment she picked me up and suddenly had a river of tears running down her cheeks (it looked quite comical) she started spouting things like 'My baby is growing up too fast!' and 'she shouldn't have allowed that hussy near her perfect beautiful precious baby boy!'
Like I said they can change their emotions at the drop of a hat…
Somehow slipping out of my mom's grasp I quickly ran inside the house with my parents who now both had comical river tears running down their faces running after me.
~ Narrator POV ~
Alexis sighed before a small smile appeared on her face as she shook her head and closed the front door, before speed walking to the Pendragons making sure the parents don't accidentally smother their son to death.

A/N: I don't plan to spend much time on the MC's childhood, just at least 3-5 chapters of childhood before we move on to Canon…or atleast close to canon.
