C5: Ichinose Missed Classes

When school ended I was called by the Ayanokouji group to meet up… before that I had some strange encounters…

The first one was Sudo questioning me if Horikita had given me Valentine's Day chocolates, but I denied that instantly since the thought of her giving me Valentine's Day chocolates makes me fear for my life the next day knowing what favor she's going to ask me as an excuse for giving me Valentine's Day chocolates… 

In this case it wouldn't be a food trap otherwise it would be called a Valentine's Day Trap, but luckily for me it didn't happen…

The second strange case was with Sudo himself who asked Horikita for lessons after hearing Chabashira-sensei talk about a test they were going to give us to prepare for the end-of-term exam…but in the end Sudo's attempt to spend time with Horikita during Valentine's Day, even if it was just studying, was a disaster since Horikita reminded him that the basketball club hadn't taken a break from their activities so they weren't going to have time… 

The third matter was the one that surprised me the most, which I just found out about when I heard some girls from Class B talking when I was heading to their classroom after I had arranged where we were going to go with the Ayanokouji group, he directed me to Class B to observe the interesting situation Ichinose was in in her Class, but great was my surprise at what I received at sight… 

The Class B classroom was strangely quiet by the time I got there… 

Since there were only a few students from Class B that I could talk to, going to Kanzaki would have been my first choice…Sumida and Moriyama, who I had spent time with at the training camp, would have been fine too…however, as I looked around the room, none of the three were to be found… 

I had hoped to catch up with someone appropriate before she left, but that didn't turn out that way…I decided to head back for the time being…on the way I should say as I walked away from the Class B classroom I heard a conversation behind me between two girls as they left the Class B classroom…

Hey…do you think the reason Honami-chan was absent today—I heard a girl's voice say that…

Something like that is totally impossible—another girl declared as I stopped to listen better to their conversation…both shared a brief conversation…which caught my attention a lot…

Did Ichinose take the day off?

It wasn't clear if Ichinose took the day off due to illness or the situation that arose with the rumors of her being a criminal, though I'm one of the few who knows the truth, one of them being Sakayanagi and Kamuro, but now that it came to this I was curious about one thing… 

How did Sakayanagi find out about Ichinose's secret? 

There are certainly conversational techniques designed to coax secrets out of people, such as cold and hot reading… however, I can't imagine Ichinose would want to let slip anything about her past regarding theft… the fact that she was denying it even now is proof of that…

Considering how she's handled herself so far, it makes me wonder if she could swallow the provocation of the biggest enemy class… it would be different if it was Ike or Yamauchi, but Ichinose is smart. 

Did she fall for Sakayanagi's persuasion…? – I muttered to myself as I continued to walk away from the Class B classroom…

Is it possible that there is someone else who knows Ichinose's secret?

But even Kanzaki, the person who seems to be Ichinose's closest ally, didn't know anything and after seeing her close friends, it doesn't seem like they know…

Then someone from the faculty or… the student council? 

If Nagumo were to abandon Ichinose and ally himself with Sakayanagi, it would be possible— I muttered as I walked… 

However, this hypothesis is based on a few true conjectures.

In the first place, there is no proof behind this conclusion other than what Kamuro told me… furthermore, the only person who would be able to refute that premise would be Ichinose Honami herself…

The school may be big, but compared to society, it's a pretty confined place… because of that, if you want to talk to someone in secret, you should make it a top priority to make sure the two of you are truly alone… basically, this would mean limiting interactions to certain times, early in the morning or late at night… although I don't know Ichinose Honami's room number, getting to that should be easy… make a call to the dorm management office and ask directly… there's no reason for the school to keep its students' room numbers a secret… if you say you're having a hard time getting in touch with that person, they should be able to understand that… 

Even though I've thought about all that, I'll just be an observer, whatever happens to Class B or Ichinose I won't interfere... even though things might get complicated for me, I want to know how normal people or people like Ichinose solve their problems... I don't think Ichinose will hide forever in her room, she'll have to come out of it at some point...

Even though I'm not going to interfere, I'm curious if Ichinose's classmates have been able to talk to her...

I called the administration office and they gave me Ichinose's room number like I thought... but as I approached the first year dorms, I could feel Hashimoto's presence near me and also that he's following me... lately he's been following me during the day and afternoon... 

There is no problem that Hashimoto saw me going to Ichinose's room…but when I arrived at her floor, I could notice some of her classmates to be exact girls from Class B outside her room…I smiled slightly since I saw what I had to see so I left Ichinose's floor… 

Even though Ichinose has escaped from her problems, she has the support of her entire class…that's something that Ichinose has unlike Horikita…I'm sure that if the same thing happened to Horikita only Hirata would go with good will to see how she is like Sudo, Kushida would go just to not lose popularity and to gain support by showing concern for Horikita…honestly I don't know if I would go to see her or not since the last time Horikita was late and I went to see what happened strange things happened and it should be noted that I got a good hit on my rib that day, although it's not as if Horikita's hits hurt me… 

I took those thoughts from when I realized that it was almost 5…
