Chapter 14: Chapter 14 You Are My Woman_1
The white speedboat raced across the sea, with Wei Anning standing inside the cockpit. She looked back at the island, now just a tiny black dot in the distance, and let out a long breath, finally escaping that small island.
But when she thought of Leng Youchen, her mood sank again. He had treated her so kindly, yet she had abandoned him and fled. Inexplicably, a sense of guilt emerged in her heart.
She turned around and bit her teeth hard. She was not Wei Anjing; she was never destined to stay with him on Aisha Island for a lifetime, so there was no need for her to feel guilty.
Navigating the speedboat for another hour, she finally spotted another island. She cheered inwardly, amazed that she could still find an island after such reckless cruising - her luck was incredible.
About fifteen minutes later, she could see the entire island, which was vast. A towering castle stood under the sunlight, ancient and mysterious, surrounded by colorful and splendid plants.
For some reason, she found the island somewhat familiar.
Not pondering it further, she drove on for another fifteen minutes and reached the dock, where the control panel indicated low fuel. Startled and sweating, she thanked her lucky stars she'd arrived at another island; otherwise, she might have been trapped at sea without a clue how she would have perished.
Stepping out of the cabin, she was stunned.
There were many people on the dock, with Leng Youchen sitting in a wheelchair at the forefront. His expression was colder and sharper than ever, cutting into her heart like a knife.
Wei Anning was dazed for two seconds before darting back into the cabin. A cold voice followed her, as icy as shards of ice, "Anjing, it's futile. The speedboat has an auto-memory navigation function. Even with enough fuel, it will eventually bring you back here."
Wei Anning felt as if she had plunged into an ice cellar. She turned stiffly, a mist forming in her eyes, "Why?"
Leng Youchen gazed into her eyes—large, sparkling, clean, and clear. He nearly got deceived by those eyes and forgot how vicious a woman she was once, "You are my woman; you can't leave."
"I am not!" Wei Anning shouted desperately, her voice filled with despair, "I've told you, I'm not Wei Anjing, not your woman. Why won't you believe me?"
"If that's the case, then explain to me, if you're not her, why do you two look exactly alike?"
"I also want to figure this all out. Leng Youchen, let me return to the United Kingdom, and I will find evidence to prove my true identity to you," Wei Anning pleaded, jumping off the speedboat and quickly crouched in front of Leng Youchen.
Leng Youchen reached out and gently caressed her cheek, his voice cold and cruel, "Anjing, I didn't want to treat you this way. Stop deluding yourself. As long as you promise that you won't flee again, I can forgive and forget."
Wei Anning's eyes widened as she looked at the man before her, familiar yet strange, and sadly realized that no matter what she said, he would not believe her.
She shook her head with a stubborn look, "I'm sorry, Leng Youchen, I can't promise you that. As long as there is a chance, I will still try to escape until I get off this island."
Suddenly, Leng Youchen's hand tightened, gripping her chin forcefully, and he leaned close with an enraged look, his voice warm despite his anger, "Wei Anjing, you've forced my hand, don't blame me for being heartless!"
"It hurts..." Wei Anning winced in pain, her eyes shimmering with tears, looking pitiful.
Unable to bear her look, Leng Youchen released her face and turned his wheelchair away from her, ordering coldly, "Ande, lock the Third Young Lady in the dark room. Let her out when she comes to her senses."
The Butler's face turned pale. The dark room was a place comparable to hell. How could the delicate Third Young Lady endure such a place?
