Cuffed by my twin sister's CEO lover

Chapter 4: Chapter 4 You Can't Leave_1

Wei Anning stood there, a bit dazed, as she looked at everything unfamiliar before her, her emotions teetering on the edge of collapse. How was she to prove she wasn't Wei Anjing? How was she to leave this place?

She helplessly collapsed onto the sofa, cupping her head with both hands.

Leng Youchen reached out and patted her head, "Alright, stop letting your imagination run wild. Let's have breakfast first, then I'll show you around."

Wei Anning looked up dejectedly, "I really am not..."

She didn't finish her sentence when she saw Leng Youchen's face darken. She silently swallowed the rest of her words. With her face that was identical to Wei Anjing's, her words weren't enough to convince Leng Youchen. Continuing would only make him think she was repulsed by his disability.

Her immediate priority was to figure out why she was here and then find evidence to prove that she wasn't Wei Anjing but Wei Anning.

"Forget it, let's have breakfast. I'm hungry too."

Leng Youchen smiled; it was a breathtaking smile. Wei Anning stared, transfixed. How could someone smile so beautifully? He ruffled her hair, saying with a smile, "That's better, let's go."

Wei Anning was disoriented by his gentle "head-patting kill." Seeing him look over, she quickly snapped out of her infatuation, stood up and began pushing his wheelchair out of the bedroom.

The hallway was covered with a pale golden non-slip mat, the walls flanked by priceless paintings, and antique vases stood on the floor, proclaiming the wealth and extravagance of their owner.

They took the elevator down to the first floor. In the downstairs hall stood two rows of maids; as they stepped out of the elevator, the maids called out in unison, "Third Young Master, Third Young Lady, we wish you a happy marriage, a lifetime together, and may you have many children!"

Wei Anning was startled by the deafening shouts, the spectacle making it seem as though the King had arrived.

After they finished, Leng Youchen waved his hand, and the maids orderly dispersed, some to prepare breakfast, some to clean upstairs. Soon only the two of them remained in the living room.

Wei Anning stood in the vast living room, looking at the tightly closed double doors, feeling an intense yearning within her. It felt as though as soon as she opened the doors, her nightmare would end. She would be back at school, a carefree freshman.

She let go of the wheelchair, disregarding Leng Youchen calling out to her from behind, and rushed towards the great doors. But the moment she pushed them open, she froze.

Outside was a blossoming garden, vibrant with plants, and beyond that, the endless expanse of the Mediterranean Sea's azure waters.

She walked out, standing bewildered on the steps, watching the waves push sand ashore, breaking on the beach in wave after wave. Her mind went blank for a moment before she hollowly asked, "Where is this?"

Leng Youchen wheeled himself out, stopping next to her, "This is the Leng Family's private island, also their secret base. Located in the Mediterranean, it is called Aisha Island. It has over a hundred years of history. The family records state that our ancestors came here seeking refuge and built this castle."

"How can I leave this place?" Wei Anning looked at him, perplexed.

Leng Youchen shook his head, "Anjing, you are my wife. Without my permission, you cannot leave here."

"Why?"

"Each generation of the Leng Family selects someone to stay here, forbidden to leave the island until their death. This generation, they chose me. As my wife, you too must stay." Leng Youchen looked at her calmly, yet revealed a harsh reality.

Wei Anning's face turned pale. If she couldn't leave, how would she find evidence to prove that she was not Wei Anjing?
