Cursed family

Chapter 23: Chapter 23: A dream?

The guard's eyes widened in surprise. "Can't believe you're the Eli Vanderbilt I've heard so much about you since.. uhn 30... Minutes ago," he said, his voice filled with a mix of awe and curiosity. "I heard the other guards talking about you just now... Eli this, Eli that... I knew you must be a big shot."

Eli's mind was still reeling, unsure of how to respond. But before he could say anything, the guard continued.

"Don't worry, I know you're a low-key rich heir. I won't bother you with any unnecessary attention." The guard smiled knowingly and leaned in closer to Eli. "Was you planning to enter your VIP room?"

Eli wanted to correct the guard, but before he could say anything, the guard's hand clamped over his lips.

"Sh sh sh, do not worry, I understand," the guard whispered, his eyes glinting with a knowing look. "I'll open it for you right away."

With that, the guard produced a keycard and swiped it through the reader. The door to the VIP room swung open, revealing a luxurious interior that made Eli's eyes widen in surprise.

The guard bowed slightly and gestured for Eli to enter. "Enjoy your stay, Mr. Vanderbilt," he said, his voice dripping with obsequiousness.

As Eli stepped into the VIP room, the guard closed the door behind him and chuckled to himself. "I'm sure he'll be paying me thousands of grand for my good service," he thought, already imagining the hefty tip he would receive.

Eli's eyes widened in awe as he stepped into the VIP room. He had never seen anything like it before. The room was a masterpiece of luxury, with diamonds and crystals embedded in the walls, floor, and ceiling. The air was filled with the sweet scent of exotic flowers, and the soft hum of a champagne cooler provided a soothing background noise.

The room was immaculately clean, with not a single speck of dust or dirt to be seen. The furniture was sleek and modern, with plush couches and chairs that looked like they belonged in a palace. Eli felt like he had stumbled into a fairy tale, and he couldn't believe his eyes.

He stood frozen in place, afraid to move or touch anything for fear of breaking something or leaving a fingerprint. He didn't have much money on him, and the thought of accidentally damaging something valuable made his heart skip a beat.

Just as Eli was starting to feel like he was in a dream, he heard a knock on the door. It was a soft, gentle knock, but it made Eli jump nonetheless. He turned to face the door, wondering who it could be and what they wanted.

"Come in?" Eli called out, trying to sound confident despite the fact that he had no idea what was going on.

The door opened, and a beautiful woman with long, flowing hair and a sparkling smile walked in. She was carrying a tray with a bottle of champagne and two glasses.

"Welcome, Mr. Vanderbilt," she said, her voice husky and seductive. "I'm so glad you could make it. I've brought some champagne to help you celebrate."

Eli's eyes widened in confusion. Celebrate what? And who was this woman? He opened his mouth to ask her, but before he could say anything, she had already poured him a glass of champagne and was handing it to him with a smile.
