Chapter 58: Chapter 57
Frieren managed to change her mana to chakra within ten minutes and analyzed Konaha's barrier.
Yuta watched as Frieren stepped outside the barrier and walked away from the village. He then turned his head to look at Fern, who was hiding behind a nearby tree, looking at him with fearful eyes.
Fern was now eight years old, according to Fern.
Yuta looked at her for a while and realized that children in the ninja world were indeed precocious. An ordinary ninja child would be around 4-5 years old when she looks like Fern does now, and then enter a period of rapid growth in the following years.
Yuta was thinking about this when he suddenly realized something. Frieren had not hesitated to leave Fern to him. So Frieren had been playing around with him from the beginning, saying he was a lolicon. Realizing this, Yuta's forehead was furrowed with anger and Fern hid behind the tree, even more frightened.
Fern had already realized that they were in a different world now, listening to the conversation from the battle that had just taken place. After Fern had been in a dark area for a while, when she saw Frieren leaving her to the enemy and running away, she thought that Frieren had sold her out.
Yuta didn't know anything about her guesses and his mind was completely on the possibility that Frieren had cheated him. Meanwhile, as he decided to go back home, he called out to Fern. "Hey kid, follow me!"
Yuta took a few steps, saw that no one was following him, and turned his head to see Fern trying to run out of the village. Immediately disappearing from his seat, he picked Fern up on his shoulders as she was about to be discovered by the barrier. "Fern, this is a different world and it is impossible to go back for now. Stay calm and follow me. You will live with me for a while."
Fern wanted to get off Yuta's shoulders, but feeling the pressure Yuta was exerting, she was frightened and after making a small sound of approval, she surrendered, realizing that she could not escape.
Yuta was shocked to see Fern's face. Fern was now looking at the ground and crying silently. Yuta sighed when he saw her crouched down to her level and began to tell her what had happened.
...
Fern was a little calmer after listening to everything Yuta had said, but she still didn't trust Yuta. But that didn't change anything. This world was foreign to him and Heiter's friend had left her with this boy. Fern puffed out her cheeks and remembered everything Yuta had told her and looked at his back as he walked ahead of her. Yuta was taller than she was and she felt she could trust him a little more after the previous conversation.
As Yuta and Fern walked through the village, many people's attention was drawn to the pair. Yuta was quite famous as a student of the Hokage, and he had recently gained fame as the youngest Jonin. The interesting thing about Fern is that she is cute.
With her purple eyes and purple hair, she looked quite cute, which made many people turn their heads in her direction.
Yuta was thinking about how he was going to explain to Tsunade that he had a new member of the household and suddenly there appeared Sarutobi Hiruzen. It seems that the explanation to Tsunade will be saved for later.
Hiruzen stared at Fern's face without saying anything, while Fern reflexively hid behind Yuta under the pressure. Although Yuta found it cute, Hiruzen frowned even more after that.
Looking at the surrounding crowd, the Hokage told Yuta to come to his room and disappeared with the body flicker technique. Hiruzen still hadn't aged as much as he had in the Naruto era and was able to use techniques like Body Flicker without his back hurting.
When Yuta saw the cold look in his teacher's eyes, he thought that he had seen his interactions with Frieren with the telescope technique and went to the Hokage building with concern.
After a long conversation, he realized that Hiruzen hadn't seen everything as he thought he had, what worried him was who Fern was.
Apparently, one of the village anbus was curious about her and checked her chakra signature. As a result, he discovered that Fern had no chakra, but after some investigation, he discovered that she was not from this village and reported to the Hokage.
Yuta looked at Fern, who had been invited out of the Hokage room, and then turned around when he and the Hokage were alone in the room. "Sensei, I know you suspect that she is a spy shinobi, but I can assure you that she is not a spy."
Without saying anything, Sarutobi leaned back and looked Yuta in the eyes. That was enough to explain his attitude.
Yuta realized it too and continued talking. No part of his plan included the possibility of Fern being thrown out of the village. Even if we ignore his deal with Frieren, something like a sweet girl like Fern being thrown into the wild was unacceptable to Yuta.
"Sensei, please trust me. If it makes you feel comfortable, I can promise not to talk about any important information about the village in front of her... Senseiiii why don't you answer?" Yuta coquettishly walked behind Hiruzen and started massaging his shoulders before continuing to speak. "Did you know you're the best teacher in the world, sensei? A little girl who doesn't even have chakra shouldn't be in the eyes of a great being like you, right? Sensei, please!!! If you let that girl live in Konoha, I will definitely teach her the will of fire very well, sensei!"
When Hiruzen finally got an attack on his weak spot, he sighed deeply and told Yuta he could leave, saying that they would talk about it again.
Yuta thanked him a few more times before walking out the door. Hiruzen stretched his shoulders, relaxed by the massage, forgot about it, and told the anbu hiding in the room to summon the Hokage assistants to focus on the real issues.
In wartime, of course, the Hokage was not going to spend all his energy dealing with a chakra-less spy like Fern. Besides, as unreliable as Yuta seemed, Hiruzen was well aware that as his own student, he wasn't a fool. Without his hidden maturity, how could he have let him become a jonin before Minato and Kushina?
