Fangoria is ruled by one empire, three federations, and eighteen kingdoms.
Despite internal strife, they remained unified in the face of external attacks. Knights, the epitome of power, were common among them.
Umbralis continent:
A realm controlled by Vampires, distinguished by their cold and calculating traits.
Valtoria continent:
The sprawling human realm of Valtoria was united under the banner of the Kingdom of Altharion which was dominated by a single great monarchy, the Altharions, whose royal family wielded enormous influence.
With four dukedoms guarding each side of our kingdom:
Everblade family in the north
Montgomery family in the east
Ashbourne family in the west
Frostvale family in the south

Six days later, in the training room, a boy with white hair and piercing red and blue eyes swung a wooden blade with fierce determination, his expression twisted in frustration. To understand why he is so frustrated let's take hour flashback.
[One hour before]
As I was about to head into the training room to complete my last part of daily quest, something hit me. Today was the last day for the free gacha spin to reset. I quickly stopped in my tracks, a spark of excitement igniting within me.
"Sys, open the gacha tab," I ordered, feeling my pulse quicken.
[Okay, Zeph] Sys responded, not using "host" as she knew I hated it.
The gacha tab materialized in front of me, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of anticipation. "Use the free spin," I said, already imagining what kind of powerful item or technique I could get.

I leaned forward, barely able to contain my excitement. "What is it? Some super-duper pill? Or maybe a universe-shattering technique?"

My excitement immediately deflated. I stared at the screen in disbelief. "Fuck."

I swung the wooden blade horizontally with a sharp swish, the sound echoing through the training room. Just as I was about to continue, a notification from Sys popped up.

I tossed the wooden sword aside in frustration and ordered, "Sys, open the quest tab."
[Okay, Zeph] came Sys's response.

I stared at the tab, my frustration growing. Comparing this to the first part of the quest, it was night and day. The initial quest had felt like a warm-up, and now, here I was, battling through grueling tasks. And worse, it had removed the meditation part—the one thing I actually enjoyed.
"Finally," I muttered, "It's over now"
I turned to Sys and said, "Sys, show my stats."
[Okay, Zeph] Sys responded in its usual calm tone.

After seeing my stats I said "At least it was worth it"
After finishing my status check, I headed to my room for a quick shower. I quickly washed off the sweat and exhaustion from the training, then grabbed my clothes for the day. I opted for a simple yet sharp look—a black shirt, black pants, black shoes, and a red belt, finishing the look with a blue tie. The clock on my phone showed it was almost time to head to the awakening ceremony.
Just as I was about to leave, a knock sounded at my door.
"Come in," I called out, and the maid entered, her face turning slightly red as she looked at me.
"Lady Evelyn requests your presence at the front gate, young master," she said, her voice slightly wavering.
I raised an eyebrow, noting her flushed cheeks but didn't dwell on it. "Lead the way," I replied, not bothering to question it.
The maid nodded and turned, walking ahead as I followed her, heading toward the front gate.
As I arrived at the front gate, Evelyn and Liliana were already waiting for me. Evelyn stood elegantly, dressed in a flowing navy-blue dress adorned with silver embroidery, giving her an air of quiet authority. Her hair was neatly styled, her calm demeanor radiating sophistication. Liliana, in contrast, wore a cheerful lavender dress with subtle floral patterns, her black hair tied into a loose braid that bounced slightly as she shifted on her feet.
When Evelyn spotted me approaching, she smiled faintly and said in a soft, composed tone, "Finally you came, Zephyx. Let's go."
Liliana glanced at me, her usual bubbly energy momentarily subdued as though she wanted to say something but decided against it. Instead, she turned to Evelyn and asked, "Mother, is Father not coming?"
Evelyn's expression remained serene as she replied, "No, he has some work to attend to."
With that, we headed toward the car waiting nearby. Evelyn gracefully took the front seat, while Liliana and I settled in the back. The driver, dressed neatly in the Everblade family's livery, tipped his hat before starting the engine.
The atmosphere inside the car was quiet, save for the soft hum of the engine. As the vehicle rolled forward, carrying us toward the grand church where the awakening ceremony would take place, I glanced out of the window, watching the towering spires of the city grow nearer. The weight of what was to come pressed subtly against my thoughts, though I kept my expression neutral as always.
