Dawn of Light - Reincarnated as a villain

Chapter 21: Her family II

As the weight of the silence settled in the room, Drusilla's father, Azaroth Crimsonvale, let out a deep sigh. His piercing crimson eyes remained locked on me, scrutinizing every inch of my being. His commanding presence was undeniable, his aura exuding both authority and the terrifying power of a Primordial Vampire.

"What have you created, Drusilla?" he finally said, his voice calm but filled with curiosity. His gaze shifted between me and his daughter.

Drusilla offered no immediate response, standing quietly at my side, her usual mischievous smirk absent for once.

Azaroth's eyes fixed on me again, sharp as a blade. "Do you know what you are, boy?"

I didn't flinch under his gaze. His question was expected, and I had no intention of hiding the truth from someone who could likely sense it anyway. "Yes," I replied evenly. "I know. A Primordial Vampire."

Azaroth's expression didn't change, but the weight of the room seemed to grow heavier. His gaze was probing, as though he were searching for something deeper within me. Finally, he nodded slowly, his tone unreadable as he spoke.

"Two kings in the same era," he said, more to himself than to anyone else. "Primordial Vampires are meant to exist alone, one per era. Yet, here you are. This era will not follow tradition."

He leaned back in his throne, his eyes narrowing as if calculating the implications. Then he asked, his voice steady, "What is your category?"

"Eldritch Bloodborn," I answered without hesitation.

Azaroth didn't seem surprised by my answer, yet there was a flicker of intrigue in his gaze. "A category that doesn't belong to this era," he mused. "Unique, formed specifically for you. That is the privilege of a Primordial Vampire. It is yours alone, and it will pass to your descendants—should you choose to have any."

At his mention of descendants, I noticed Drusilla shift beside me. She was looking down, her cheeks tinged with crimson. Her bashful demeanor caught the attention of everyone else in the room.

I internally cried "Why is she reacting like that? I thought," trying to maintain a composed expression despite the rising awkwardness.

Azaroth's gaze didn't waver. He stared at me intently before asking, his tone serious but laced with accusation, "What have you done to my genius daughter? Have the two of you already... consummated this bond?"

My eyes widened in panic, and I blurted out, "No! No, we haven't done anything like that!"

Before I could say more, Drusilla's mother, Selene Crimsonvale, chuckled softly, the sound rich with amusement. "Though, I must admit," she said with a teasing smile, "he is quite handsome. If they had already done the deed, I wouldn't have much to complain about."

Azaroth turned to her, his expression blank as though struggling to process her casual remark.

Selene gave him a sly smile. "Don't worry, dear. He's only slightly more handsome than you."

Azaroth stared at her, his lips pressing into a thin line, clearly less amused than his wife. Her phrasing seemed to irritate him—not because she called me handsome, but because she insinuated he wasn't the most handsome in the room.

A tense silence fell between them before Azaroth exhaled sharply and turned back to me. "Let's put this nonsense aside," he said, his voice cutting through the awkward atmosphere. "It's overdue, but we should begin with proper introductions."

He stood from his throne, his imposing figure towering over us. "I am Azaroth Crimsonvale, King of Tenebris and Drusilla's father."

Selene inclined her head gracefully. "And I am Selene Crimsonvale, Queen of Tenebris and Drusilla's mother."

I nodded respectfully, straightening my posture. "I am Zephyx, the second Primordial Vampire of this era and disciple of Drusilla."

At my words, Azaroth and Selene exchanged a glance. They seemed impressed, though their expressions shifted when they heard the word disciple. Azaroth's frown deepened, and he turned to his daughter, who had remained unusually quiet throughout the conversation.

"Drusilla," he said, his tone firm. "Did you not explain to him what happens when a vampire shares their blood with someone for the first time?"

Drusilla hesitated, her eyes darting toward me before looking back at her father. She stuck out her tongue playfully, her mischievous smirk returning. "Hehe~ I forgot," she said, her tone light and unapologetic.

Azaroth groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. Selene merely chuckled, clearly amused by her daughter's antics. Meanwhile, I stood there in stunned silence, wondering just how many more surprises awaited me in this bizarre family reunion
