Chapter 181: Chapter 181 are you planning to drive a fire engine back and get yourself killed?
"You… you… you…"
Eddie was dumbfounded, utterly amazed.
"You know who he is?"
As one of New York star reporters, Eddie prided himself on uncovering secrets few others could.
But Anton, true to his nature as the boss, had once again shattered that illusion completely.
"Of course I do."
Unaware of Eddie internal turmoil, Anton gave him an odd look.
"That guy is Max Dillon, also known as Electro. He used to work for Osborn Company."
"Osborn Company?"
Eddie was even more shocked.
"Then why is he attacking Harry Osborn? Surely he hasn't mistaken him for someone else, right?"
"I wasn't finished," Anton replied.
"Max Dillon used to be an electrical engineer at Osborn Company. But his time there was anything but pleasant. In fact, the way he is now has everything to do with Osborn Company… does that make sense to you?"
"Uh, so it another employee feud!"
Eddie didn't know what else to say.
Another?
Anton froze for a moment, realizing Eddie had a point.
Ivan Vanko hated Tony Stark due to his father history with Howard Stark.
Howard had been Ivan father employer in the past.
Now, Electro—Max Dillon—was a former employee of Osborn Company, tied to Harry.
Anton couldn't help but laugh silently to himself.
As Eddie said, "another" was indeed fitting.
However, as Anton thought about it further, he began to understand why Osborn Company might have come up with the unusual idea of making Harry their superhero representative.
This "unconventional" plan wasn't something you'd see in a normal business.
Even though Tony Stark became Iron Man, his path was anything but ordinary.
Now, with Electro appearance, Anton felt a sense of clarity.
Osborn Company must have internal problems, and Tony public superhero role likely inspired Harry and others.
The internal issues of Osborn Company were now embodied by Max Dillon.
"You've finally shown yourself."
At this moment, Harry, who had been struck by lightning, rose unsteadily to his feet.
Thanks to the bio-armor created from a symbiote, the lightning hadn't caused him much harm.
Even the residual effects of the attack hadn't truly injured him.
In fact, Pepper Potts, who had fallen from the flying glider during the chaos, had sustained worse injuries than Harry.
Now.
As Harry spoke, he took slow steps toward Max Dillon.
The black bio-armor, including its mask, fully covered his body, leaving not even his head exposed.
No one could see Harry expression.
But from his tone, it was clear that he had anticipated this confrontation.
"Superhero?"
Max Dillon, filled with seething hatred for Osborn Company, snarled through gritted teeth, his face twisted in anger.
"A dirty company representative dares call himself a superhero? Don't think you're Batman!"
"Dirty company?"
Harry sneered coldly, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
"Stop wallowing in self-pity, Max. Capital has always been ruthless and profit-driven. As an employee of Osborn Company, you were already enjoying better treatment than most.
But you wanted more… all of this happened because of your greed!"
"You used me for experiments!"
Max roared in fury.
"I ended up like this because of Osborn Company!"
"No, we were going to hand you over to the police and maybe take a blood sample while we were at it," Harry countered calmly.
"It was you who overreacted, killed the security guard, and then fled without hesitation.
The reason you're in this position now is entirely your own fault."
"Hmph!"
Max eyes burned with fury, as if they were alight with flames.
"People like you always speak with such condescension—it makes me sick!
No matter what, you're going to die today!
I'll send you straight to hell to meet your father!"
"Then you might end up disappointed," Harry retorted.
He raised his hand, summoning the flying glider that had fallen nearby, and fixed Max with a cold, unyielding stare before launching a sudden attack.
Crackle, crackle, crackle!
Electric arcs flashed across Max body as Harry charged.
Unflinching, Max met Harry head-on.
The intense electricity surrounding Max illuminated him, making him look like a demon straight out of hell.
His menacing expression sent an unprecedented wave of pressure through everyone present—everyone except Anton.
"This is getting interesting," Ivan Vanko muttered, his gaze shifting to the unexpected chaos before settling on Tony Stark, who was still facing off against War Machine.
"Tony, it looks like you're out of allies now!"
As Ivan words echoed, War Machine suddenly lunged, clashing once again with Tony car-mech.
Rat-tat-tat-tat!
Though War Machine missiles were duds, its ammunition reserves were far from empty.
Armor-piercing rounds spewed from the barrels, streaking toward Tony like a torrential downpour.
Tony expression darkened.
Behind Ivan, the steel soldiers sprang to life, joining the assault.
"Damn it!"
Tony scanned the area, realizing he needed to lead these attackers away.
With that thought, he took off, quickly distancing himself from the area and heading toward a small park adjacent to the expo.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
War Machine, Ivan new whip-enhanced armor, and the entire fleet of steel soldiers all took to the skies, relentlessly pursuing Tony.
The battlefield now held only Anton, Eddie, Pepper, and the clash between Harry Osborn and Electro, Max Dillon.
Finally, Pepper caught sight of Anton.
"Where Batman?"
Pepper hurried over, her face tense with worry.
"Anton, why hasn't Batman shown up to help yet?"
"Uh."
Anton shrugged.
"Batman knows what going on, but this happened so suddenly. He on his way—it takes time to get here, doesn't it?"
"Damn it!"
Pepper cursed under her breath, her face growing more anxious as she worried about Tony.
With the whips, War Machine, and an army of steel soldiers chasing him, she feared he'd find himself in an unpredictable and dangerous situation.
"Anton!"
Eddie, after observing the fight between Harry and Electro, hesitated before saying, "Things seem to be spiraling out of control. I need to help."
"Go ahead," Anton nodded, then turned to Pepper.
"In that case, let me get you out of here."
"What—"
"Enough arguing. You'll only be a liability if you stay here!"
Anton grabbed Pepper hand and quickly led her away from the battlefield.
Eddie set his camera down, rolled his shoulders, and prepared to jump into the fray.
A moment later, Venom emerged, taking over his body.
"Oh, it been so long since I've had some fresh air!"
Eddie, now transformed into Venom, twisted his head to look at the ongoing battle between Harry and Electro not far away.
Sharing Eddie vision, Venom had become quite familiar with Earth and everything around Eddie. Naturally, it recognized the enemy.
With a sinister grin, Venom chuckled darkly.
"Electro… I bet his flesh tastes pretty good. No extra seasoning needed!"
…
A few minutes later.
Anton and Pepper had reached an open area.
Anton scanned his surroundings and spotted a fire engine parked by the side of the road near the expo grounds.
His eyes lit up.
This was a fire engine sent by the New York Fire Department.
Given the variety of advanced tech on display at the expo, the risk of fires was significant. With large crowds gathering, proper precautions were a must.
This was an opportunity Anton couldn't pass up.
"Alright!"
Anton turned to Pepper and instructed, "Find a safe place to stay. I'm heading back to help!"
"How are you going to help?"
Pepper only knew Anton as a filmmaker and a playboy much like Tony, but without Tony genius.
How could an ordinary person like him possibly help?
Was he planning to throw his life away?
Wait.
Seeing Anton next move, Pepper couldn't help but call out.
"Anton, are you planning to drive a fire engine back and get yourself killed?"
