DC HERO AT MARVEL

Chapter 184: Chapter 184 Sandstorm Strikes! The Kidnapping of Hammer!

The turtles were dragged away toward the distant battleground by the overloaded hoverboard, leaving Anton and the others behind.

George glanced at the unconscious figure on the ground, stroked his chin thoughtfully, and looked at the two men in front of him.

"This is the guy who caused a scene on the stage earlier?"

"You're thinking of the other one," Anton replied with a shrug.

"This is the guy who escaped from Osborn Company."

"Ah, I see! So it him!"

George immediately understood.

Osborn Company had informed the NYPD about Max Dillon mutation incident when it happened, but by the time the police arrived, Max had already escaped, leaving behind a scene of devastation.

The NYPD had collected some data and preserved video footage of the event.

However, the Max from that footage was vastly different from the unconscious figure lying on the ground now.

The former was a menacing figure, his body crackling with arcs of electricity.

The latter resembled a lifeless corpse.

After some discussion with Anton, George pieced together the whole story.

However, Anton deliberately omitted his role in subduing Max, as he had no intention of letting his actions be known by others or the public.

Such attention was meaningless to him.

Besides, dealing with Max had already brought him the reward he wanted.

[Captured Electro: Rewarded 2,000,000 Justice Points]

[Current Justice Points Balance: 32,000,000]

To Anton, Max Dillon greatest contribution to the world after his transformation was the 2,000,000 justice points he had earned.

"So, over there, it Iron Man fighting another armored guy?"

George stroked his chin again, then turned to Anton and Eddie.

"Since you've been here the whole time, you must know who the enemy is, right?"

"Ivan Vanko!" Anton replied.

"If you've been following the news at all, you'll recognize him as the Russian who attacked Tony Stark in Monaco."

"I know who he is!" George exclaimed.

George narrowed his eyes.

"I heard that after Ivan Vanko attacked Tony Stark, he was brought back to the U.S. and locked up in a special prison.

Apparently, he possesses some kind of advanced technology that certain departments wanted to extract from him.

But I never expected him to escape!"

"You know all that?"

Anton gave the NYPD commissioner a curious glance, realizing that George Stacy was essentially the Marvel equivalent of James Gordon—a "village elder" with access to insider information.

Why George would openly share such details with him likely had something to do with Batman reputation.

After all, this kind of information wasn't exactly top secret.

"Of course."

George nodded with a small, proud smile.

"Ivan Vanko was held in a prison near New York."

The implication was clear.

Since Vanko was imprisoned in New York jurisdiction, as the commissioner, George naturally knew about it.

"Then I bet you don't know who helped Ivan escape," Anton said, watching George slightly smug expression with an amused grin.

"You've figured that out too?"

George eyes widened as he turned sharply toward Anton.

"Who was it?"

His tone immediately turned serious.

"Who would dare break Ivan out and create such an over-the-top suit of armor?"

"There aren't many companies at this expo capable of making advanced armor," Anton said casually.

"Aside from Stark Industries and Osborn Company, who else do you think could pull it off?"

"Hammer Industries!"

George immediately connected the dots.

The pieces in his mind fell into place, and without hesitation, he grasped the truth behind Anton hint.

Justin Hammer!

"This is going to blow up into a massive scandal!" George exclaimed, his voice tinged with both alarm and understanding.

George frowned slightly as he turned to his officers and gave orders.

"Find Justin Hammer and arrest him immediately!"

After a pause, he added, "If I'm not mistaken, he should still be nearby!"

The unexpected events at the expo had disrupted everyone plans, including Justin Hammer.

The sudden appearances of Whiplash and Electro had caught everyone off guard.

Justin Hammer was undoubtedly one of those people.

In such a situation, it was unlikely Hammer would prioritize fleeing the scene. Instead, he would probably be focused on damage control.

The best way for him to salvage the situation would be to find someone else to take the blame.

If the NYPD could apprehend Justin Hammer first, they might extract some valuable and unusual information from him.

That would not only bring credit to the NYPD but also boost George reputation.

"Understood!"

An officer nodded and immediately relayed the orders to the rest of the team. The officers spread out in all directions, searching for any sign of Justin Hammer.

Meanwhile, Max Dillon, who was unconscious on the ground, was restrained with a pair of special handcuffs George had brought.

These handcuffs were designed by the tech-savvy Donatello specifically for the NYPD.

Even individuals with extraordinary abilities would find them unbreakable, making them perfect for securing Max.

At the moment, Max was unconscious, his body short-circuited from the water, and his internal electrical reserves likely depleted.

As long as Max wasn't given an opportunity to recharge, he would be reduced to little more than a physically fit "ordinary person," incapable of causing further trouble.

Anton observed without much concern.

Electro was just a minor character, unworthy of his focus.

The real priority was the ongoing battle not far away—the likely conclusion of the fight between Iron Man and Whiplash.

"I wonder if the turtles made it in time," Anton muttered, glancing toward the now-quiet sky in the distance.

He guessed Tony had already dealt with the troublesome steel soldiers and was now locked in a one-on-one showdown with Whiplash.

Elsewhere.

The officers George had sent out to locate Justin Hammer soon found him on the outskirts of the expo, near a Hammer Industries gathering point.

"Mr. Justin Hammer," one officer announced.

"Please come with us. We need your cooperation in an ongoing investigation."

The officers exchanged glances, only to be blocked by Justin bodyguards.

Justin, however, remained calm and composed.

"I'm not sure if you're really police officers," Justin Hammer said, smiling at the officers in front of him.

There was a chilling glint in his eyes as he added, "I suspect you might be my enemies disguised as police, here to kidnap me."

"Here are our credentials!"

One of the officers reached into his pocket to produce his badge.

Boom!!

Suddenly, a powerful gust of wind and sand whipped through the area like a massive slap, striking everyone faces mercilessly.

The sandstorm swirled violently, engulfing everyone present.

The force was so strong that no one could keep their eyes open, and all they could see was a blurry haze.

The next moment.

When the officers finally managed to open their eyes again, Justin Hammer was gone.

"What the—!"

The officers exchanged bewildered glances.

"He gone!"

Even Justin bodyguards were stunned, their faces pale.

"It was him! That man! Damn it, the boss has been kidnapped!"
