Chapter 204: C176

"Symbiosis?"

Hearing this, Anton suddenly realized.

"Yes, the armor on Harry's body is transformed from a symbiont."

Eddie nodded, his face solemn. "Venom told me that he smelled the same kind of scent from Harry. That armor may possess all the abilities of a symbiote... Moreover, it feels lifeless, not like a living thing. It seems Osborne has mastered a way to control the symbiote."

"That's it... It seems Osborne has accomplished what the Life Foundation could not."

Anton quickly pieced together the context.

He hadn't forgotten that the Life Foundation had been taken over by Osborne Corporation early on.

Although S.H.I.E.L.D. had intervened after the collapse of the Life Foundation, it was clear that they could only negotiate with Osborne—they couldn't interfere in its specific operations.

Experiments on symbionts had continued, moving from an illegal framework to a legitimized, regulated stage.

It seemed that, after Osborne acquired the symbiote research, they leveraged their vast talent pool and biotechnology expertise to develop a viable enhancement route.

The biological armor Harry displayed onstage was irrefutable evidence.

Yes, biological armor.

Anton clearly understood what Harry's black armor was. Judging by Harry's calm demeanor, the symbiote had most likely lost its self-awareness, fully transformed into a tool.

This biological armor was a weapon forged from the "corpse" of a symbiont.

"As a leading corporation, Osborne is committed to taking on greater social responsibilities. It is our duty to maintain peace and social stability."

"After extensive discussions, we have established a special department."

"This department will collaborate with the New York Police Task Force. I, Harry Osborn, will serve as both chairman of Osborne Corporation and leader of this special department. Additionally, I will act as a special advisor to the task force, directly involved in its daily operations... much like those turtles everyone loves."

After the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles joined the task force, their fame skyrocketed. They quickly gained recognition from New York's citizens, becoming beloved mascots of the city.

To honor this, the task force even updated its logo to include a black silhouette resembling the turtles.

Of course, that wasn't the main point here.

At this moment, Harry hovered in midair, speaking while looking down at the crowd below. However, his posture didn't convey arrogance. His tone was sincere, almost disarmingly so.

After a brief pause, without waiting for anyone to respond, Harry continued, "In a sense, I will become a new kind of superhero serving the public. But I won't be a vigilante; I'll operate as a police consultant, directly involved in law enforcement."

"Police consultant, involved in law enforcement... A new superhero?"

The crowd exchanged looks, their faces full of disbelief.

For the first time, they were witnessing the official "birth" of a superhero at such a formal event.

As for Tony Stark, who famously declared himself Iron Man at a press conference, he didn't quite fit this category. Everyone knew the press conference wasn't where Iron Man was truly born—there were photos to prove it.

The world generally recognized the street outside Stark Industries' headquarters as the birthplace of Iron Man. In those infamous photos, Tony Stark, as Iron Man, was being soundly beaten by the Iron Monger.

To this day, many people still kept those iconic front-page shots from the Daily Bugle. They served as cherished mementos, especially among Tony's detractors who enjoyed poking fun at his debut.

At the same time, Anton, Tony, Justin Hammer, and others all wore expressions of incredulity—reactions that surpassed mere surprise.

Harry had openly announced his new superhero identity, complete with collaboration with the New York Police Department and participation in law enforcement.

It was too perfect.

In this comparison, the other superheroes seemed insignificant. Only Harry had quietly integrated himself into the "regular army."

Justin's face twisted with frustration.

Of course, he understood why Harry would announce this news so publicly.

Wasn't it because Tony Stark's transformation into Iron Man had captivated countless people, driving up Stark Industries' stock and earning the company massive profits?

Clearly, Osborne intended to follow the same playbook—launching a superhero as the face of Osborne to grab public attention.

Among the available Osborne representatives, Harry was the obvious choice!

Justin scanned the audience's reactions, and his expression contorted further. Osborne had clearly succeeded! After today, Osborne Corporation would be under an immense spotlight.

Justin couldn't predict everything that would follow, but it was evident that as long as Osborne maintained this level of public interest and Harry upheld his promise to actively enforce law with the New York Police Task Force, cracking down on criminals and amplifying their publicity, Osborne could achieve what Stark Industries had: an unassailable position in the market.

At this moment, Justin felt more pressure from Osborne than from Stark Industries.

After all, Stark Industries had withdrawn from the arms business.

But looking at Harry's approach, Osborne had no intention of stepping back from its weapons business.

Instead, they were pushing forward, using a superhero to promote their products to the police, the military, and even the general public.

Justin's lips curled into a bitter smile. "What a clever move..."

His gaze grew cold, locking onto Harry on stage, his eyes sharp as knives. "You little rabbit. I underestimated you!"

Anton and Tony also quickly grasped Harry's true intent.

Becoming a superhero wasn't about justice or peace, as Harry claimed—it was a means to an end.

Honestly, when it came to fighting for justice, the only superhero who fit the description was the idealistic and naive Spider-Man.

Anton rubbed his chin, revising his impression of Harry.

From the early days of The Daily Bugle's coverage to now, in just six months, this young man had become shrewd and calculating.

It was no wonder Norman Osborn had placed so much confidence in his son when he was in his right mind.

Still, if Harry planned to be a superhero, what nickname would he take?

It couldn't be the "Second Green Goblin," could it?

Anton pondered this for a moment.

However, Harry didn't announce a superhero name, suggesting he wasn't planning on adopting one for now.

Instead, after introducing Osborne's new initiative and his debut as a superhero, Harry shifted the conversation to promoting Osborne's latest technologies and the defense products the company was set to release.

The so-called "defense products" were, of course, munitions.

This revelation made Justin's expression darken further.

But Justin didn't panic. He forced a grin, one of confidence and defiance.

"Even if Osborne gains momentum now, in the end, it'll still fall behind Hammer Industries. The future will belong to Hammer!"

His calm demeanor returned, masking his thoughts.

Justin's ace in the hole, after all, was something far beyond anyone's imagination.
